Alas, they have left out, or forgot to fix certan bugs, but it's in the BTS editor version. They have fixed the enormous lag when switching patches at least, it's faster now. One thing with the new software, is that when you set the INPUT signal as set for different guitars, say you have one single coild guitar and sets the INPUT to stay at +6db you save it with a name to remember which guitar you set that on. And you may have different basses, humbucker, actives and can set input for 10 different saved slots... now what happens is... If you should anywere go in there and temporarily adjust it, after you saved it, say you save "Tele" in the first slot at +6db and just wants to temporarily adjust it, for testing purposes, that new value STAYS like you have saved it...you can switch saved inputs to something else just to try to reset it to original +6db but it doesn't. When you come back to the first slot "Tele" it is still set at the new value without you having to save it. Say +20 db with ugly distortion going into the AD converters for the Core. Turning the unit off and on won't reset it. I e there's no point in having a WRITE/SAVE function at all. You have to go in there - remember which setting it had, like +6db, and do yet another SAVE/WRITE. It was working in the last version at least but now, all of a sudden... beats me And while on editing the delays in BTS, the Binson Drum Echo, at the wow and flutter settings, the popup windows where you can type in numbers and figures are still blank, while the rest of them shows proper +10 -10, and all increments and decrements which makes detailed editing impossible. And... I could on on and on...and this thread isn't the right forum to whine and bicker about that, but it always stumps me why - any ,not just Boss - manufacturers are more keen to update with added features rather than sorting out the irks and quirks and bugs first. When they have done that, ONLY THEN you can walk in stride and add new features. Because I've found similar bugs in the new mastering features too, so they are not vigilant and eagle eyed enough when beta testing. Especially this one, since it's an editor thing, and not taking up any CPU or memory for sound creation. While they've fixed some bugs, they seem to not be able to test if that bug fix induced yet another bug down the road somewhere else.

'Dynamics' adjusts the variation in volume between loud and soft passages, with a lower setting decreasing the variation. Increasing 'Tone' value boosts the low and high frequencies for more aggression while decreasing cuts both low and high frequencies for less aggression. Dave, you uploaded this video in January 2022. I’m commenting in February 2024. If I bought a brand new Core unit this month, would it already include these firmware upgrades and bug fixes, or would I still have to download them independently?
I assume that it would come with that latest firmware, especially now that it’s been 2 years. I am only guessing, I don’t know for sure. I would still check the firmware regardless when it arrived.
HELP PLEASE !!!!!!!! I have an old Mac with Catalina. When I plugged in the micro to USB to my port, nothing came up on my desktop, or anywhere else in the computer. I went to disk utilities and it just won't pop up. I'm scared to unplug the pedal because of all the warnings. I don't know if I'll destroy the Core 1000 if I unplug it. :-( If anyone sees this, please let me know what to do. I guess I'll just leave it on, and in limbo for a few days....lol I wish I never tried to update it. I bought when it was on update 1.03 and it was fine the way it was. This is so typical !!! LOL I got to play it for like an hour or so, and now it'll probably blow up, and I totally can't afford another one. Ugggggg...
@@DaveWebbMusic I recieved mine with the mail today. You can play along with music on your phone by using return 1 or return 2 as an aux in. It works just fine. To me this is a great feature. I like to play along with music on my phone with the output to my headphones. However you do need to change a setting in the menu ‘hardware Settings’. The setting Return 1 or Return 2 needs to charged to ‘sub out’.
I’m not sure about windows. Make sure you’re reading the instructions thoroughly on the website. Only thing I can think of to mention is to make sure you drag and drop only the files, not the folder they are downloaded in. Best of luck!
No I have the noise suppressor right after the amp, so before the cab. Any EQ, delays, reverbs are after the noise suppressor so that it doesn’t affect those.
Because that’s where you find the firmware updates. It’s digital. They’re always improving the software. So your $600 pedal is updated constantly at no extra cost.

No, the Core does not have Bluetooth.
You can connect to a computer and use Tone Studio, which is fantastic!
Can you play along with songs on your phone by using return 1 or return 2 on your gt-1000 core as an aux in?
Nope. The send & return work together, so you can’t return without first sending.

It’s a USB Micro-B to into the Core, the other end is USB A.
