should defineteley be put on the new album. there were so many songs that were single choices. Rich Harrison, Rockwilder, Just Blaze and The Neptunes as well, they are great together.
Yes!!!! “Damita Jo” unreleased tracks actually make the rumors of the album being cut in songs due to the super bowl controversy true. These songs would’ve MADE the album 💿 more of a knock out than it already is! ❤
I guess many say this about her because she lip sync when performing live a lot.But many artist do especially performing as she does. She has a softness about her vocals. But she has so much more that makes her stand out from most female artist. The layers of her vocals in the background and harmony's are unique. If you saw her Rock With You Tour it was all live and she sang to perfection. And you heard her voice and very little backup from tracks and background singers. This lady is genius and when she wants she can really belch out that true angelic voice that we know she has.Love you,Miss Jackson!!!
Producer Rich Harrison was a huge part of Amerie's sound, he produced this song. Most of the songs he did for other artists sound like they could have been sung by her tbh, like Get Right by J-Lo or Creole by Beyonce
@@JustKweku but I love what he brought out of Janets voice in all the tracks they recorded. Omggggg……I’m so upset at what could’ve been if she was pushed vocally like this. Janet blended so easily into this sound and she completely changed up her entire singing style.
This song and What Can I Say Janet sound like Amerie glad she didn't put neither songs on the Damita Jo album Rich Harrison knew what he was doing but they still bops though however.
@TVR25 Nope Janet knew he tried making her sound like Amerie she saw right through him listen to Amerie first albums and features she done before 1 Thing she already was popular.
I feel like Rich Harrison pushed Janet vocally the most. “What can I say” and “put it on you” just have me astounded. Janet could really sing like that if she wanted. This sounds more traditionally 2000’s too! Janets tracks usually add a twist to whatever sound is trendy.
This slaps, however, this go go style of production was already recognized to be largely associated with Amerie, which is probably why it didn't make the cut. This sounds way too much like 1 Thing, Talkin About, and Toni Braxton's Take This Ring. Too signature for their own good.

Her vocals are flying on this one
signature Rich Harrison production!

This is a great song
It's a few on this CD that weren't released that are bumping. This one shows her range and it's a hot jam
This sounds like an Amerie track from that time.
That's cause rich harrison produced it
Rich Harrison is who you can look to.. He has a distinct sound he ran the early 2000’s
Sure does😉
2021 and this still goes hard!

Agreed. Her voice is very angelic live. She sounds amazing.
Would love to hear this in HQ...HOTT!!!
2022, still a jam!!
I can see why none of the Rich tracks never made the album: too Amerie-sounding. I actually wanna hear Amerie’s versions…if they exist.
IMO....this had hit written all over it!
Her vocals are awesome on this track!
@@TwistedElegance Amerie debuted in 2002 with that sound. So no, Janet wouldn't be the first one. Check your dates.
not really. these tracks were written by janet too so i believe they were never considered for amerie
@@caio2611 Were they? I couldn’t find the credits.
Lovvvvvve This!!!!! One Of My Favs
I'm jamming off of that song..that's what's up
Miss Jackson if ya nasty!
Always loved this song
Janet unrelease music can use for the DJ in her concerts cause her unrelease songs are bops though the beat sometimes drowns her voice.
STILL JAMMING
I agree that we need each other and I was made for you and you were made for me and we will always be together
Why were younever a Queen of mine ? Strange. Your going to be the mother of God thats good enough.
👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
❤❤
Very Amerie... Probably why it wasn't used
That's it! I couldn't put my finger on who this sounded like. It was driving me crazy. Thank you!
Doesn't matter this was amazing. Such a shame 😢

Janet sings live. Mist have tracks backing along with live backup singers. The girl sings. Get tired of hearing that.

@TVR25 You missing the point but ok
@TVR25 Amerie came out in 2002 what are you talking about she always sound like this not Janet I'm done.

Does anyone have the lyrics to this one?
Clap Your Hands
(Refrain)
Clap clap clap yo clap yo hands
Clap clap clap yo clap yo hands
Clap clap clap yo clap yo hands
Clap clap clap yo clap yo hands
(Verse 1)
You hold onto me so tightly
Any longer baby, feels like I might break
But I squeeze back
See the smile on your face
And it’s such a rush
And we fit into place, oh yeah
(B section)
So hard to speak
With your lips
So close to me
So necessary
It feels like you inside me already
We fit so tight
(Chorus)
Fittin’ so tight around me
And I’m fittin’ so tight around you
Like were fittin’ to start something
Fittin’ so tight around me
And I’m fittin’ so tight around you
Like were fittin’ to start somethin
Feelin’ so right around me
And I feelin’ so right around you
And I’m fittin’ to work something
Fittin’ so tight around you
Then you see what we can do
So tight..
(Refrain)
(Verse 2)
Don’t let go of my grip
Back and forth
Like we’re chained at the hip
Like we know what’s next
Never losing it
Feeling each other’s needs
And we move to fit, oh yeah
(B section)
Feels like your body was made for me
And I was made for you
(Chorus)
Tell me baby
(Bridge)
Everything I want to say is in your eyes
It’s in your eyes
It’s in your eyes
Every night and every day
Just hold me tight
Just hold me tight
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Refrain)
(Chorus)
