I have a 2006 VFR 800 VTEC with a full delkavic exhaust, pair valve removed, snorkel mode, power commander v with autotune..... This map ROCKS !!! I have tried a bunch of maps and none have come close to touching this one. By far the best I've tried, its so good i dont think I'll even try to trim it.The map vastly improved low end drivability and it pulls much harder all the way through to redline. The biggest improvement is the VTEC transition. The previous maps I tried had a dip in power right before the VTEC kicked in,therefore exaggerating the transition. The bike now pulls strong all the way to VTEC . The VTEC pulls harder and smoother than before, and as a side bonus my bike runs cooler with this map.AWESOME map!!!!!! Thanks dude 👍
I tried that map. Works very nicely for sure. I have the same mods you do, with a different exhaust. Seems to have knocked down my MPG a bit but maybe because I can't stay off the throttle...Thanks for sharing!

Just bought a 2005 vfr800 today. It was strange experiencing that vtec kick in. At first I thought there was something wrong with the bike like it wasn’t firing all cylinders. I finally realized that I just have to keep the rpms up if I want it to run like more of a sport bike and less like a scooter. That being said, you can look down and realize you are doubling the speed limit without trying to. I think one of the best additions to this bike would be a gear indicator. Anyway, I had to see what it would do, so I found an open stretch of unpopulated road and got it up to 149 indicated. I guess I should duct tape my phone with a gps app to the tank to see what it really does. It sure didn’t seem like 149, but who knows. The bike rides so smooth and brakes so well, all I can do is smile. I am used to my Indian scout 60. I also realized I have to get bar/clip on risers. That riding position is brutal on my wrists! I was hoping for more of a sport touring stance, but I agree with you that they are very under rated bikes. I can’t wait to get it set up better for me. Thanks for the vids! I think one of the best things about that vtec power curve is that it keeps the front wheel down. I don’t want to wheelie it because its a pretty heavy bike and I want my fork seals to last. Thanks again for the vids. Its always good to see what other people experience with your same bike.
A friend has the identical bike. Love going out on the silver machine. I definitely felt the VTec kick in the first time I was on it. An incredible machine.❤️
So glad to see there still love for the 6th Gens. I got an 2002 that I bought back in 2007. First bike I own (Not the first one to ride). Did all the mods you mentioned in the video except that I kept the stock mufflers and took the baffles off them (It was too quiet for my taste). I'll definitely try your map, because I'm running on the Cozye map right now. I'll say the Cozye map smooths the VTech transition quite a bit from stock, but its definitely not smooth.
I have been in love with this bike ever since it came out. It's great to hear such well deserved comments for the underrated bike. However I do admit that I like RC51 more.
Well done video!! The x-tra horsepower is always nice....But the dyno measures wide open throttle./As I sure you will agree , that how much better the bike runs at part throttle now as compared to before is what a Quality tune is about...Nice throttle response an a wide torque band...Perfect!!
A little feedback about the map... I have an 02, stock air filter, Delkevic slip-on, baffles removed, fuel pressure upped to 42psi. I just bought a PCV, and it did not come with the O2 eliminators. Called Dynojet, they said they found the bikes run better with the stock sensors hooked-up. Ran the bike with this and 3 other maps, this one works pretty well. It's a little soft on the lower RPM, hard throttle application. I'm getting a custom tune soon, and it will be interesting to see what the differences are! Overall, this is a great map. It really felt great from the normal dead spot in the stock map at 4200-4800 up to redline.
@anonMS dawg It's a VFR400 in a package not unlike an RC45. awesome bike, and a racer in every sense except for the engine. the engine does rev to 15000 RPM's though.
Great video quality man. & that is a cool bike! I own a 2009 Civic Si with a k20 Vtec motor so I know what vtec feels/sounds like but to see & hear it on a bike man that’s just awesome lol. & your right about no vtec in the cold because it happened to me before & I was like wtf haha! Tbh I loved the aggressive vtec transition on my 04 vfr 800. It gave some drama to a really comfortable motorcycle. IMO the vfr is the perfect transition between power and comfort. I could ride it for hundreds of miles and not feel like shit the next day which I can't say with my new 06 cbr600rr. Miss my VFR :'( PLEASE keep up the awesome videos! You're definitely my favorite motovlogger. I just wish I had someone up here in maine that was my age I could ride with. All the kids in my generation are basic bitches :D
Love all the content but especially the VFR stuff, watching your videos was what made me want to get a VFR and I love the thing, need to get a powercommander for mine to help out with the low end jitters and flat spot at 5k, might also try the pair valve, mod and all that too, thanks for the great content!!!!

I have a 5th gen, I changed Exhaust, removed restrictions and put best plugs in and air filter.. etc! But the best MOD.. is Nigh lift Cams! it frees power and grunt! Expensive but worth it (for 5th and 6th gen!) Race cams allow higher revs and power! Standard Cams are softly rounded and lumpy, Race cams, are sharp and open and close faster! runs gruntier too ;o) Just get Valve Clearances done and they have to come out anyway.. put new ones in.. done (the inlet valves on these and inlet pipes would need to be bigger to add speed!) its restricted (I believe with fuelling, small inlet valves and cams) In Reality its a VFR 750 with bigger cylinders ;o) I want to try the never injection (6th Gen on my 5th Gen) 6th Gen are smoother and I am sure(despite being heavier) have a little more power

I ride my VFR for around 2 hours almost every day (still makes me smile after 2+ yrs) and the VTEC transition never bothered me.... Reasons why I would be interested in a dyno tune is 1) to smooth out the jerky sub 3k RPM performance, and 2) better fueling/economy for my full Delkevic system...

Super smooth power and stoked that he posted it for everyone. I love the Delkevic exhaust, I'm sure you'll like your new sound track.
I don't have any issues with the VTEC transition, stock, but the biggest issue that I have with the bike is the infuratingly sensitive on/off throttle response. It really diminishes confidence using the bike in normal use, going around lower speed corners. I've done the PAIR-valve disable and it didn't seem to make much of a noticeable difference. I've heard that a dyno-tune can help a lot. Did you notice much improvement in that area?
Just out of interest, what is the fuel economy like when you are on the highway cruising? It looks to me that at the cruising speed revs and throttle percentages, fuel has been added rather than taken away. So using more fuel in that cruising rev range around 4000 to 4500rpm and low percentage throttle position. A lot of the maps I have seen/studied have actually removed fuel in that area for better fuel economy while cruising at highway speeds.

So I was thinking of doing something never done before on a Vfr800 But I'm a bit confused.. Can you help me out?? can this hit around 13-14k rpm?? (It's redline around 11k I heard that..)??
The way that I look at it, it's another restriction on the port into the airbox. It's not going to do much, but it is forcing the VFR to suck air through practically a straw, rather than a much larger port.
Hi all nice videos keep up the fantastic work, can you help me by telling me what system your using to to share the map as I’m struggling to download the map thank you

I haven't noticed any difference in gas mileage. Unless I am in VTEC all the time, otherwise I continue to still get about 210 miles to the tank.
I'm buying a 1999vfr800,,red-☆low mileage for year model,,BUTT,,the Seller, who is my friend , who is a great motorcycle mechanic,,,but ever since I put down half payment,,I have not heard from him,,lol.,,new everything ,clutch & brake fluid, tires ,brakes ,chaine oiled etc.He loves the bike after I told him about this bike,,History,Engine function,,,hhhhm, better go get my stock Interceptor. Great video.☆
So I was thinking of doing something never done before on a Vfr800
But I'm a bit confused..
Can you help me out??
can this hit around 13-14k rpm??
(It's redline around 11k I heard that..)??
I've done the pair and vacuum mods, but passed on the snorkel mod. Are there any real benefits apart from intake sound? Nice bike!
The way that I look at it, it's another restriction on the port into the airbox. It's not going to do much, but it is forcing the VFR to suck air through practically a straw, rather than a much larger port.
I'm getting one
This display Where is the cam installed ?? WOW
Do you believe you can get the same results with the auto tune?
can you please show me a Picture how you Fix your Ram Mount on the Bike ?
Would you do this dyno tuning if you were riding the 2004-generation VFR? I own one, and there is almost no V-Tech jump.
Not cheap at all, HeroRR.
@herorr The tune in the link would it work on a 2007 VFR800??
Hi all nice videos keep up the fantastic work, can you help me by telling me what system your using to to share the map as I’m struggling to download the map thank you
Calvin Bailey did you find out
keep it up man
What Mic do you use?
I am curious what kind of fuel range your VFR is capable of?
What state do you live in? Looks purtty
Where did you get the O2 sensor delete?
Herro, its only mine vfr or yours as well, when i hit the bike hard on first gear most of the time im strugglin to get second gear spot on. But its only when revvs are high.. what abt u bud? And also do u think your map would work on european vfr?
i've not bough my VFR yet so i'm not sure , but you should look at your oil , "bad " quality oil can make it harder to change gears , if that's not it , check your clutch plate and springs , hope this helps!
Did the pair valve mod make much difference?
Hi. This map with no pair valve, snorkel cut, and flapper off?
Yes
Nice Video :) Keep it Up
Why is the VFR800X not that popular? I'd like a Crossrunner as my real first bike in a year or so (currently have a XJ6S 2015).
kellyozore
Bought a 2016 crossrunner a few months ago..
I’m Really impressed,
Mega comfy ,extremely flickable and as quick as my previous vfr’s (1997,2001) upto 110mph.
Build quality is better than most but not as good the older vfr’s
I live in Massachusetts and haven’t been able to find anyone that does the vfr. Can you tell me the name of the place you said would do it for $250?
Rob's Dyno Service. But you should try my map first, unless you have a full exhaust system it would probably work fine for your bike. drive.google.com/file/d/11jb6MPpFYoCmmzEfbJtOE7zCYbWSjyJY/view
I only have a delkevic slip on, haven’t decided if I’m putting a full system on it. Would you recommend putting a full exhaust system? Or just leaving it with slip ons?
Shay HP does your bike have now ?
What octane fuel did they recommend you run with the new tune? I know the manual says 87.
He only adjusted fuel tables, not timing or anything like that. So no, I continue to run with 87.
Sounds likes r1 revved up to 12k rpm
Thats what i was about to write😂
The vfr and r1 have the same firing pattern, so they sound alike
Ditch the delkevic exhaust, it's dyno figures are generally quite poor compared to other known brands
Which exhaust are known to perform better?
Hey herorr, will the map work on 2008 model?
I got a red 02 vfr800 with just under 12k miles, in great condition, if I were to list it what do you think a good price is
3500
Do dynotunes even work with carburetors? I've got an old ktm 620 sc and just bought a new air filter
Yes, but you will have to manage the fuel manually, instead of adjusting via some click on the pc
