    He's the MJ/Magic hybrid. We've never seen anything like LBJ. You can't just compare him to MJ. He's more than that. People won't appreciate him until he retires. He's already a legend and still has 3-4 more good years left. It's incredible!

    • @williamkoscielniak820
      @williamkoscielniak820 3 года назад +7

      He's like MJ in his ability to get to the rim, but otherwise I don't see much MJ in him. He looks to pass while MJ looked to shoot. He looks to shoot the 3 ball more while MJ looked to shoot the midrange more. He likes going straight to the rim and either dunking it or laying it up. MJ could do that but he also did crazy things in air with crazy spin off of the glass. Defensively Lebron was super versatile. MJ wasn't that versatile but he was a true lockdown defender.
      I think he's compared because of his greatness and his athleticism, but his game itself just doesn't seem like Jordan's much at all with the exception of his ability to get to the rim. He's plays more like Pippen in Karl Malone's body.

      I'm thinking it must be 48% while he's on the floor, because 10.2 assists per game (what he finished the season with) / 42.3 field goals per game is not 48%. The very moment that line was said in the video, I went to do the calculation because I knew it couldn't be right. Even then, he's on the floor for more than half the game, so that doesn't make complete intuitive sense either.

    These are things that those self-claimed "hardcore" fans who only play pick-ups will never appreciate. All they care about is footwork, fade away, and no look pass. It's just sad sometimes. I love dunking when I was a kid. After growing up and learn more BBall, I love passing and clever sets more than anything. It's beautiful.

But no we ignore the other stuff like (rebounding low post defense paint defense blocking) witch lebron is better than a lot of players at. For example kahwi is a better at stealing and getting into passing lanes then lebron. But you have to factor that lebrons better at (rebounding blocking shots low post defense paint defense defenseive IQ) and the ability to guard 1-5. So really hes actually an eltile defender.

    The Look-off is so underrated as an art... and it's important to be doing the lookoff AT A HIGH LEVEL. If you are looking off at random, you aren't really having the effect of a Lebron or a Luka.
    I play a lot of poker, and something about bluffs. You have to know WHEN to bluff. It isn't random. In order to know when to bluff, you have to know your opponent, you have to have what your opponent has narrowed down, you have to know what your opponent DOESN'T have, you have to know what the opponent thinks you have (they call it a range), you have to know you have enough chips to follow through, you have to know that everyone else is going to drop out... you have to straight up know the game... and you also have to RESPECT your opponent. You don't bluff an idiot that isn't on a certain level of competence. You don't bluff a bad player... you play them straight.
    The same goes here. Lebron knows he's playing with smart professionals... and it's because they are professionals that he knows that guy just outside the paint... his primary assignment is to cover the 3... and his secondary assignment is to help at the rim. So what's Lebron do? He forces him to close out the 3 with a look... and then he makes the pass to the mismatch in the post. If these players were less smart or less disciplined, the look-off wouldn't be nearly as effective.

      Wil - Michael Jordan is an all time great! He belong on G.O.A.T. mountain where all of the great ones go. But much of what you think of Jordan’s game comes from the super hyping up of Jordan the icon. Because basketball is a team sport Jordan can never be the greatest of the greats! Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant are two of the greatest individual players to ever play basketball, but they can’t touch LeBron, the greatest team player to ever play basketball! People want to see their team compete for championships, and with LeBron you know you have the best chance. Chicago wasn’t made great by Jordan’s play, chicago and Jordan was made great by the Detroit pistons team whipping their butts every year. Detroit Piston’s team forced Jordan to up his game! Jordan was nothing but a stat padder, the Pistons made Jordan want to be a winner. Before Jordan decided to become stronger and better, he said the pistons played dirty. Jordan’s weakness and his teams weakness were because they were weak, and when they decided to get stronger they became winners, and it had nothing to do with the piston playing dirty! If you Love the game, don’t believe the hype!

    • @lumossssss
      @lumossssss 4 года назад +9

      it could be that they know those plays work, so now theyre saving them and developing other parts of the offense. So more off ball lebron work and just general role player actions. The pnr with davis and lobs are gonna be a staple for the playoffs im guessing but once a team clues into the plays in game 3 or 4 of a series theyre gonna need to use the rest of the team and plays to get advantages which is probably why their in game practicing them now.
      Remember a few Regular season losses are meaningless especially with the position theyre already in. So use that time to have in game reps for other actions which will come handy during the truly meaningful games

I am a fan of LEBRON, Honestly for me I dont like how his foot work but I think because of his weight and muscles ( I guess ) I love to see him improve his FT, which he sucks. and what I really want him to do with his age is the shooting 3's I dont know if its possible because its not his comfort, but what I am seeing right NOW, He is the MAGIC Johnson of this season.. and crazy part is he is still writing his own history. Hoping for a healthy season, no major injuries so I can request you to MAKE a video on a possibility of him passing MALONE & Kareem.

    Not trying to hate on Kawhi because while I do think he is the better shooter and defender, Lebron's ability to transform a team's offense with the way he passes and sees the floor is something special. Until this year's playoffs proves otherwise, I am still taking Lebron over Kawhi. KD is still the best SF in the league when healthy though.

    • @TheMaciekm
      @TheMaciekm 4 года назад +4

      Kawhi was a one-man playoff wrecking crew last year though, he dominated.
      They are just different players, both as dominant but in different ways. Kawhi is clearly not as good a playmaker, he is making strides though. He's a better scorer all around the board though - 3pt, midrange, FTs, interior is close.s same with defense - inside, perimiter, post and help.
      Both are beasts, KD too. Appreciate greatness. LA matchup in the playoffs seems inevitable at whatever stage (not disrespecting Jazz, Nuggets or Rockets by any means) and I'm back to ready for it.

    • @JCLaw1116
      @JCLaw1116 4 года назад +4

      I_-Treadstone-_I speaking of the LA matchup, I rlly wonder what the clippers’ offence is like. Is it just kawhi/pg/Lou ISO’s and pick and rolls or do they have any particular set plays? I would love to see a breakdown on that one.

    • @TheMaciekm
      @TheMaciekm 4 года назад +2

      @@JCLaw1116 it's late and I'm on the phone but screw it. Overall as a Clippers fan not impressed with Doc this season in terms of Xs and Os. Especially in the first 30-35 or so games it was mainly Kawhi/PG iso, Kawhi/Zubac and Lou/Trezz pnr, Trezz low post iso. We let Kawhi create and went from there. In January especially good things happened, Shamet came back and we started running sets for him, his gravity helps overall, and Kawhi turned it up. The team is yet to play together for a string of games tho, I hope for more chemistry then. We seem to have a solid gameplan and defensive coverage to contain AD and so far Lakers didn't really execute their gameplan, especially in the opening game. I was hyped up for this 3rd matchup on Wednesday but obviously the tragedy happened.
      Overall Kawhi is low-key carrying the Clippers though.
