Diablo 2 cinematics were way ahead of their time. This should be the standard for Diablo IV, and there should assumably be many more like this built into the game at launch, as there was with D2.

I really like how they seem to be adopting imagery that reflects classical Christian art (e.g. the appearance of Lilith's body being very human but creepy which is more like a Renaissance or horror movie depiction of Satan, and the "God and Adam" hand touch), rather than solely generic evil imagery that seems to be created just to look "badass." This graphic style actually looks cooler and creepier imo than what we saw in D3. This feels like a true monster of legend, like Medusa. Felt like they had some classy artists working on this lol instead of some teenagers.

With Rathma her son with her, persuading the other Ancients wouldn't be so hard if the convincing is being done by their own fellow Ancient and his/their mother, Lilith.
I had a ton of fun with D3, but yeah, at launch it was plagued with issues and it basically took em' a couple years after launch to make the game what it should have been from the start.

As stated already, VERY Hellraiser. Which is far darker than anything in the first 2 games. This was stunning. The gory sacrificial summoning along with the priest's and Lilith's design. The reveal of Lilith's face with the building music was so perfect. She looks incredible. Probably the best feminine design for a female villain I've ever seen.
Say what you want about the scummy upper management in Blizz/Activision, but holy cow they are still the BEST when it comes to CGI cinematics .. that's was fantastic it made me wish it was the trailer for a Diablo CG movie or something.

With the Worldstone long gone, he must have regained his full Nephalem powers, allowing him to start the ritual for Lilith's return. And for those of you wondering, Lilith is alive and not trapped in the Black Soulstone because even before the events of Diablo I, Inarius, Lilith's husband, had banished her to the Void, so when the Black Soulstone was made, it couldn't take her and was spared as Lilith was in a totally different dimension to begin with. For those saying "Lilith ain't a threat, she's just Mephisto's daughter." You're wrong for one reason. Lilith is the mother of humanity, and by that extension the mother of the Nephalem. When the Nephalem were first born, they were far more powerful than both angels and demons, since the first Nephalem were practically weaker versions of Anu at his full power before he sundered his dark half spawning Tethamat, and subsequently halving his powers as well. So if Lilith and her son Rathma were to rally the last of the remaining Ancients, all of whom are at full power since the Worldstone is gone, then Sanctuary is fucked. Even just a few of them would be enough, and not even Diablo as Tethamat-reincarnate would be able to stand a chance against them.
I really wanted to hate it after the whole "you guys don't have phones?" thing, but this is an incredible cinematic. well done Blizzard, i guess you did learn eventually.
