- In todays episode I deconstruct a moment from the last episode of The Boys that got a lot of attention... but not for the reasons I will outline in this video.
It's 'that' scene with Firecracker and Homelander from Season 4, Episode 6.
I deconstruct the symbolism behind a number of elements with an impeccably composed shot.
Kudos to Director Karen Gaviola and Cinematographer Jonathan Cliff!

And the real joke for this show (which I've never seen) is that it isn't filmed in the U.S. It's filmed in Toronto, Canada.

@@PicturesOnMyMind Like Star Trek Discovery, Star Trek Strange New Worlds, The Umbrella Academy, Chucky, Reacher. etc. You'd be surprised how many movies and television shows that people think are filmed in the US are actually filmed in Toronto or Vancouver.

Thank you. I had to get this one out quick! ha! The next episode is out on Thursday and the idea was banging around in my brain and I had to get it out. Its such a great shot, I wonder how much of what I read from it was put their by the production.
I see as well a distorted representation of The Madona paintings : the virgin (because there is not sexuality involved between them) feeding the child's god (Homelander had compared himself to the Christ several times after all) illuminated by the divine sun.
I find the show nothing but a sausage fest for gay men. It is a seriously Foxtrot up as the narrative put down by the commentator who spends far too much time snorting his own farts!

Watching that show I’ve come to hate every character and all sides on that show. They’re trying to make a point about current politics and culture but getting everything wrong. Just land an asteroid on that entire screwed up version of earth.
