Dude Slash definitely has a signature sound. From the first note, you know it’s him.
Jason Stallworth also by his bends and vibrato.
For some reason a lot of people don't take him very seriously. I've never understood why, his playing is some of the most natural sounding I've heard, and he puts emotion into every note. His style is all his own
only cork sniffers talk shit about slash... or just really jealous guitar players who cant really play with feeling...
Unfortunately that's why people think he's overrated

Hey Robert, just do you know I have followed guitar teachers for years on RUclips and had a face to face tutor too and I just say your lessons are so good.

REALLY diggin that burst aint ya boy???? LOL Love it....Not really a "relic" guy myself, but, that being said, I have never bought a "new" guitar. I do believe every nick, dent, scratch, scuff, tells a story. But, I do like putting the blemishes there myself, or from someone playing it. Relics look cool, but I really love the history behind every mark...I really dont go out of my way to keep my guitars looking new. I'm old, and look like crap. But my old guitars, are freakin gorgeous. That burst on yours is killer.
Robert, just an observation not directly related to the guitar video here. But pay attention to your posture. You always sit straight (which is good), but as soon as you want to play you bend which on a long run will kill your back. Trust me, I'm speaking by experience here, you really don't want to have a messed up back... My 2¢

You left out #6: The main riff to Slither (Velvet Revolver). Would probably be a good warm-up for the rest of these, it's super easy but sounds sooooo good.

As crazy as it might sound but I believe Slash can't cross string alternate pick... He is heavily reliant on economy picking and hammer on pull offs
But he still has a musical identity that separates him from the bunch, few artists can be recognised from just the couple of notes played e.g SRV, Eric Johnson, Darrel Dimebag, Brian May etc...

Good lesson, but I really wish you would have slowed Lick #3 down just a bit. Maybe play it a few times slow so those of us at home can play along with you and get it down. Other than that, another solid lesson.

For the second lick please play 10 hammering on to 11 on the G-.String then 10 on the B String then 12 on the G again 10 hammering on to 11 and then 10 on the E , Same two frets down THAT is the Lick .

In case you haven't heard about the comparisons between Sweet Child Of Mine and The Australian Crawl song "unpublished critics" (1981) this video might be of interest and a bit of fun. For the record, Australian Crawl has never claimed GnR stole it or made a big deal about it. It's clear they've raised the pitch of the Australian Crawl song so the pitches match here so the vocals sound a bit funny.

I'm calling bullshit! I sat there and learned lick one and then tried to get it up to speed but couldn't so I slowed down you showing the lick at full speed. You don't do any bends it's just hammer on and pull offs up the scale. What's that about man?
