This is a huge step for international fans who just don't have any mean whatsoever to experience Broadway but still listen to cast albums, read wikipedia plots and watch every single live performance that is televised and ends up on RUclips. We may not have the money to be there but we do keep it alive.

@@marianaf640 Cast recording is almost exactly what you'll hear in the filmed version... except, for the filmed performances they don't use the word "fuck," which I think is in the true Broadway production & in the cast recording exactly twice.

Yessss I'm goin through that phase right now (For the second time after 4 years) even though I'm not entirely sure I ever outgrew it 😂 I'm constantly amazed all over again at this work of art. Thank you Lin and all of the cast and crew who brought this masterpiece to your audience once again your work never ceases to amaze me ❤️

Phenomenon. This is what Hamilton is. I saw it in Philly last year, watched it on Disney plus twice, and viewed some parts of it a few times. Could not get enough of "Satisfied," and "Burn."

I am so grateful they had the forethought to film while the OBC were all still part of the show. I wish other shows did the same thing
They do, actually. There is a full OBC recording of almost all the plays in the NY Library system. The problem is, you can only access them if you're in the business, are a theater student or otherwise have a valid, professional reason to access it. I think that sucks.

@Zach Cooper Yes. Groff is in the filmed performances. But he didn't do many of these interviews, probably bc he wasn't with the show while it was being developed (Brian D'Arcy James played King George off-bway but left the show to go co-star in "Something Rotten" instead of staying for the Bway production). Also, Groff wasn't with the original Bway cast for its full run: he took a pretty long break a few weeks after the show opened to go film the movie-length finale of his TV show, "Looking." While Groff was away, Andrew Rannells played the King. Supposedly, Groff was thrilled to have a break from playing the King. It's an important role and he was amazing in it, but for him it meant a lot of waiting around backstage while everyone else was busy (the only other actor who had so little to do onstage was the phenomenal Jasmine Cephas Jones, who played "and Peggy!" in Act 1 and played "Maria Reynolds" in Act 2).
I give big respect to Rory O'Malley. He was actually playing King George III on Broadway in June 2016 when they began filming of this movie. He agreed to step down for the filming so that Groff could come back and they'd have the full original cast in the film. I appreciate him tremendously for that. 🎵🎶💖
