We are in the minority. Maybe in 50 years things will come back around. But at this place in time more brainless fuckers want to be force fed false idols and overly produced trash. They line up with their arms ready for they big mainlined shot of dumpster juice. Long live grunge, metal, and anything that challenges the status quo.
We should stay underground in my opinion cause we have some of the best music, some undiscovered bands, and interesting: more experimental music here (like King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard).
rock & metal will never be pop culture again as the mainstream doesn't want them & they don't want to join our community.
Just share this to rockers & metalheads for more fans; keep supporting the band & keep the genre alive (even though it's dead in pop culture)

I feel like he’s coming into his own more in this band. Not sounding exactly like Layne as much. Love his vocals either way, in all his bands 💗
GypsyRock I totally agree. Either way they’re super talented and the vocals are amazing buttt definitely super Layne/AIC inspired. The Skorned music video for Psychosis was the first time I heard this kid because of his crazy Layne sounding voice and I was a little shocked. Even his shaking his head in between verses was so Layne.. kinda too much. But again, he’s clearly got a beautiful voice and the music itself is great, so hopefully he’ll come into his own more and more over time and fine tune his own style!
Why would he want to sound like Layne anyway?????....this band is killer, he don’t need to sound like anyone but HIM!!!
This sounds very much like Layne. The harmonies concrete the sound in stone. I love the band and music and vocals. But don't kid yourself, if someone had let me hear this without seeing who it was, l would have guessed AIC....
This is my first time listening to them and it's a complete rip off of the style.. were you around in the 90s? I mean not a little kid back then, but listening to music at the time. This sounds like someone said.. "Hey you sound a lot like Layne Staley, you guys should make a band.." 😬

So glad to hear good music again. It really is uncanny how much he sounds like Layne, but hes obviously enjoying doing his own thing. I do love that it has the 90s grunge sound and feel.

Brendan those harmonies man...making me wanna belt it out. Keep at it...I just found your old band Skorned tonight and went through everything. Not sure what it is about you that makes you so genuine. Usually I feel like people are just Layne wanna be's but you have really come into your own. I hope you're not sick of hearing yourself being likened to him. I sure as shit wouldn't!

This and "Pregnant Whale Pain" are the only 2 contemporary bands that actually sound a lot like grunge... This is not "trying to sound like grunge", this is the closest to the real thing that I've heard...

Alice in Chains should strongly consider checking out the lead singer Brendan Maier from the new grunge band formed in 2018 named CHOUT @ ..I love their song "Seasons" I can't stop listening to it! AIC needs a singer like Brendan..yes he sounds like Layne,,but that is what AIC needs...that perfect vocal combination Layne/Jerry has not been heard ever again nor on the last 3 AIC albums post-Layne nor that fire the band had on it's live performances,,and so essential to their overall style and sound!... Layne had a strong, very loud and amazing voice and a great charisma on stage, how he moved and felt the songs while singing and he never looked like he was trying, he was so natural,,,,and without a doubt, Alice in Chains can have that back with Brendan Maier in a new, refreshing and authentic way!! This is my opinion but Im sure many will agree with me. This guy has it ! Will AIC ever consider him? I hope so! When Bon Scott died AC/DC got Brian Johnson who sounded very much like Bon...he even sang AC/DC covers!! Stone Temple Pilots...Judas Priest...etc

Brendan needs to sing his own music. Imagine being born with an insane voice and everyone wants you to sing other people's music? No deal. It'd be cool to hear them do Man in the Box in concert every once in a while but they need to make their own music and vocalize their own demons just like AiC did when they were a young band

Ain’t gonna lie, considering the influences and the song title, I thought dude was gonna “take a “Singles” crack at” CC’s “Seasons” so I was expecting a slower acoustic ride. It’s been said that expectations are just resentments waiting just to be failed, well, on the whole as true as that may be, I was expecting something different, but just as the “Seasons” do, the change up was welcomed, enjoyed, and maybe, dare I say, (considering the current state of rock/alt/metal) needed......YES!!! many tanks for da new sounds with familiar vibes with which for new experiences to come, will have new colors of sound to paint away that memory of emotion.
