Great action movie brought back some memories when i was aboard ship, thanks Luis Kasamaruti for posting it, not many Coastie movies made that i know of ,9-7-24
My Coast Guard service time was 1963 64 aboard the 255 ft Cutter W44 Wachusett Seattle, Washington and the 2/12 month 1964 Alaskan Patrol, witch this movie reminded me of, Katchikan, Junean, Kodiak, Adak, Dutch Habor, Accutane Bay, Aleutian Islands, Bering Sea, seen some rough seas there too, then transferred to the 311 ft Cutter W373 Matagorda Sand Island, Hawaii 1964-67, many times tied up in Yokosuka, JP after patrol, Yes many Years and Beers ago. Now age 79 2024 still remembering the time setting in a bar in Junean making party plans me and afew shipmates with me with these girls in the bar, so who comes in to spoil our plans, Shore Patrol from our ship saying " all liberty canceled everyone back to the ship, a Russian ship is coming to close to US waters" What a Bummer and we were almost walking out the front door to party. The 255 ft Cutter in this movie was the Minnetonka WPG 67 out of Long Beach,CA
Isn’t it ironic that in steering the Titanic away from the iceberg, it ripped the side of the ship open? Had they just hit it head on they would have steamed into NYC with just a damaged ship.
Watched this in London .the kind of movies I grew up seeing
Never got tired of Em'

I miss the days when we sang in the car, especially with a orchestra at night in a convertible without any wind..
Yeah... that was quite surreal.
What was funny was how awkward they looked, before the singing.
John Derek, Richard Jaeckel, Walter Brennen. For a Republic cheapie, this pic had some heavy hitters!
Barton Maclane, although they killed him off in the first 10 minutes.
Walt later was an admiral in Task Force with Gary Gooper.
good movie.......lot of memories.......I served aboard the Cutter Ingham W35 sister of the Cambell
Watched here in Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸 really good movie. Watching in my Jock-Strap my buddy is in his Jock-Strap and made popcorn 🍿. It's hot 🔥 here
sick Democrat 🤡
@@johnnycrash3270 Actually I'm a fucking redneck. I'm a Republican chump. You got a problem with it . I'm a Pennsylvania MAGA Redneck.
@chrismcphereson1586 All set for a romantic evening it seems.
Nothing to put in the jock straps ?

Its good to give the coast guard its due god bless 'em. Im a navy man.had a girlfriend who was in the coast guard.
What happened to her?
That was a good movie
The Real Coast guard in action !
As opposed to the FAKE COASTGUARD in inaction?🤨🧐🤔
I don’t think the skipper would be down there they would send the damage control team 😮😮😮😮😮oh I Navy USS Benjamin Stoddert DDG22
That's right the DC job, the CG captain would be on his own ships bridge, but this is a Hollywood movie
That. Is. A. Nice. Movie. To. See. 🎬 👌 🎞 🎉🎉
Muy buena 👍👍👍

I wonder if they still do the tribute to the Titanic? 🤔🌹⚓
When my ship was up there in 64 right after the Anchorage Alaska earthquake there was no tribute from our ship Wachusett to the Titanic
@@clydedahler9542 thank you 🌹
wow, no credit to Barton MacLane in the opening credits?
Yes there is.

Save The Suz❤
my copy of the movie is to dark .
Is James Dean glascock still alive😱
Mo estate switch to Larry, I am the oldest
It is too dark.
That's how they can beat the copyright restriction
Bad video quality. I want my money back.
oh yeah the captain sacrifices himself needlessly. At the time I am sure that would never happen and that means a shallow script. Rubbish.
