I am looking forward to seeing your potato diet. I am eating a vegan diet using principles from The Starch Solution and Nutritarianism. I just can't commit. :) But I mainly eat veggies and potatoes with seasonings, tofu, beans and fruit. I do eat oatmeal also. I am surprised you do not have a larger following.

Hey there! Someone help me haha. I started the potato diet, first 3 days literally only potatoes with seasonings no oil of course. Then I heard about Marys mini so transitioned to that on day 4 with just adding veggies. I am on day 6 now, and have not lost 1 pound :( I feel great, and am loving eating this way (have been vegan already 17 years, so it isn't too hard), but feeling super discouraged because I haven't lost 1 pound. I am breastfeeding, maybe that's why? I don't know :( Any tips? I feel like I am doing everything right.
Its all about the calories, 2 big bowls of white rice plus some veggies and miso soup is no more than 300 calories, whereas I use to snack on a bag of Dorritos and a Snickers bar and that is 900 calories. 3 times the calorie intake and I dont feel anywhere as full, and I havent even began on the main meal at Burger King which can be another 1200+ calories.

Thanks for posting this. I'm also one of those who over does it on acceptable foods, so this would be good to get reset. Love the McDougalls.
The reset really helps when you've gotten into some wonky habits, as we all do from time to time.

Are you eating enough? Breastfeeding uses a LOT of calories. If you don't eat enough, your body will hang on anticipating famine.
