Salmon Ladder at Ballard Locks

Salmon swimming upstream around the boat locks in Ballard, WA. Engineers have provided this handy step ladder for these fish to get back to their "home" waters to lay their eggs. It gets a bit crowded at times and the traffic gets bottle-nosed, er, I mean bottle-necked.
