Hello from the states, I work in the power generation field. On a generator with a mechanical governor, the frequency needs to be set to roughly 2.5 to 3 hz above your nominal frequency. Which in your case is 50 hz. The frequency will drop within the nominal range when generator is loaded to 80% or more. Hope this explanation helps. Peace.
Sir I have no idea about generators or compressors, but I have just watched you yet again solve all your problems. You have made a 70 year old woman happy 😊😊😊😊. Keep videos coming.
Both the breakers and the rock drill require an inline oiler using rock drill oil to keep them lubricated. You can also just squirt a little oil into the air inlet every few minutes. They are pretty simple to take apart clean and inspect. Anyone who is brave enough to repair a injector governor won't have any problem with this. I love your channel.
@@M.BJOERNSTROEM Yep, North American miners refer to them as a football style oiler (Gardner Denver football). As they are shaped like a football, (think rugby ball, not soccer ball). Also double hose clamps per air fitting, preferably stainless punch locks, and whip checks, as one of the other commenters has posted.

A good generator is equipped with an isochronous governor. The isochronous governor controls the rpm, and keeps it steady, no matter what the load on the generator is. Otherwise you will need to adjust the rpm's to maintain the 50 HZ desired depending on the load. Either way you got a great deal on both pieces of equipment.
Mvh Patrik

Congrats M.Bjoernstroem, on finding both Compressor and Generator. after some mechanic work both will work great. you can also use the breaker to plant flowers and dig-up small trees.
Hope he is not as rough on equipment as Andrew. He gets the job done no doubt but he could look after his stuff better. Not everything is built Andrew proof although some manufacturers could use him for testing if gear is strong enough for market!
Fantastic video. Lots of clever solutions. Only comment i have is to grease the wheel bearings on the air compressor. Possibly quite dry judging by the sound it makes when you pull away.
It looks like you live north of the Arctic Circle, which is much further north than any populated areas in northern Canada. Yellowknife, in the Northwest Territories is 400 km south of the Arctic Circle and most Canadians consider that very far north. Great videos, narration and editing. I expect many of your viewers are surprised to see that your daily driver is a front-wheel drive VW van. Much less snow in the far north than people expect, and good traction when it's packed and not heavily travelled.
Here in the UK we say you have opened a can of worms by taking the back of the fuel pump when you don't know what you are doing. When you took the side cover of you should of seen a bar that moves back and forward its called the rack bar it was probably stuck just use a screwdriver and move it back and forth spray it with diesel . The screw on the side of the pump is the fuel bleed screw. The generator is probably early 1970s 3 cylinder Ford is capable of 20 to 25 kva the alternator made in the UK by Stamford looks like it is a brush type parts are pretty rare now . Great video
I don’t want to come across as negative or something more colourful. The oil bath air cleaner is old technology but very effective for dusty conditions and it works by incoming air is drawn down through the oil bath air housing directly to the bath then the air is directed 180 degrees to the inner tube forcing any dust particles to go straight ahead into the oil and be captured leaving clean air to go to the engine. Simple as that. Hence the oil bath should never be filled above the high level as it can be drawn into the engine and cause a run away. So correctly stated the air doesn’t go through the oil. Ok, said my bit and thoroughly enjoying your videos. Oh I’m an old school heavy diesel engineer so I know what I’m talking about.
Dear Mr. Bjoernstroem 👍👌👏 Very well done again (video and work). Congratulations 🎉 for two great purchases. Both are nice big sturdy machines. 2) Please kindly allow me to suggest several things: The tires/rims you put on the air compressor axle are wider than the fenders/mud guards. Therefore dirt/mud/water will spray all over the device. By the way: 2) Usually compressors like this have hinged, slotted side panels. Often they will be opened up when the engine runs. 3) The most important thing: Please consider to redo the air intake openings in the hood/roof. On a machine like yours, this kind of oilbath air filters usually have pre filters (looking a bit like fat mushrooms) above the hood/roof.. The pre filters can easily be taken off. They don't let water or snow into the pot below. Your solution can/will create problems because the air filters suck warm/hot air from the engine and dirty air into the engine/compressor compartment. As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Hi I am from The USA love what you did and it look good also good Buy BUT I Agree with @Chr.U.Cas2216‧ the air intake have to be put back to factory with the Correct air filter set up or you will have trouble with it also I think the Hole you have in the center is for inspection of the battery this can be cover with a round cover with a bottom holding bar that you can tie from the top be sure is water seal you can maybe also set up compressor to use regular garage air hose in the time you use a regulator it will be good if you get another tire damage or you on the field and need to do some regular mechanic work with air tools
For the Genset oil drain, you can get an Easy Drain, or Quick Drain, or Fumoto valve. You can order with a threaded outlet to attach a oil hose, to direct the oil to a pan, or drain pump. This is common on boats (owner installed). Home brewed tend to be too long, and prone to vibration failure. Thank you for thinking about the poor battery, getting shaken to powder, by the extreme vibration. You might want to try to mount the battery to the Genset base, if possible, a much more stable spot.
Those two caps in the tool box look like they would fit inside the center of the oil submersed air filters, the downward facing cone and the O ring around the outside also makes me think that. The hour meter on the compressor is stunning. "This is some really patent pending stuff" Hahaha You should get yourself a 3d printer man, a Prusa or a Bambulabs, printing some little covers for those oil air filter cans would be a nice application. I'm a machinist and a mechanical technician and I never took to heart how useful they were until I had one at my disposal, I've made things like bearing press tools with it, weird funnels, ducting adapters...
For the engine oil drain plugs, you can get plugs from your Takeuchi dealer that will work with the drain hose on the Takeuchis. Not sure of the thread size, but you should be able to adapt if needed.
I like the big red compressor ! it sounds real nice with the new exhaust. I kind of wish you would had make a new front grille for it and i think it'd look really mean with the two new pipes for the air intake. those oil bath filters are bulletproof.
Its important to use safety clips or wire to secure your hose connections. This keeps them from coming apart while in use. The tiny hole on the Chicago style couplers is where the clips or wire go.
I believe they are called “Whip-Checks” in English. I was thinking the same thing. During the well drilling video he let those Chicago fitting/hose fly about which gave me actual anxiety
Get a video of all the equipment’s and vehicles… Would love to see that. Watching from India. I love these types of things and would definitely do something like this. Watching from some days and now a big fan.❤
you could do with some Air Hose Whip Check Cables on the joints and the ends that couple to the drill them pipes are no joke if the end un couples under pressure believe me ive seen it happen when drilling underground

In the future when side loading your flatbed like that place wood under the edges to avoid bending the bed out of shape cause it will eventually either make the flatbed not load correctly on the truck or break the welds that run along the two main frames under the bed. I’ve actually seen this happen with catastrophic consequences to the flatbed and the truck. The flatbed is only designed to load from the rear without additional supports along the sides. Some people have taken a piece of square stock steel with a flat bar underneath theat and welded along the outer side of the flatbed to always have enough support to not damage the flatbed or truck.

That vise you have looks awesome! Seems like the water separator on the compressor was working as it should. That’s a very good sign. $3200 seems like a bargain for what you got. Great video.
Congrats M.Bjoernstroem, on finding both Compressor and Generator. after some mechanic work both will work great.
you can also use the breaker to plant flowers and dig-up small trees.
Hey, the Plastic Discs in the tool Box belong to the Cyclone Air Seperator on top of the Oil Bath Filter. Thanks for your Professional work !
Great watching you at work you now have a new fan
Thank you keep them coming
46 minutes - laughed so much my tea came down my nose. We've all been there :D
Our European Andrew Camarata
Hi Andrew Camarata fun?😂😂
I love Andrews videos, but this seems way more safe and professional. For instance: i would never buy any of Andrews "fixed" stuff
Hope he is not as rough on equipment as Andrew. He gets the job done no doubt but he could look after his stuff better. Not everything is built Andrew proof although some manufacturers could use him for testing if gear is strong enough for market!
Broke for no reason

What a find! A fraction of what it would go for around here.
I did not laugh when the oil spilled on the floor. I swear.
Keep the vids coming. Good stuff.
Fantastic video. Lots of clever solutions. Only comment i have is to grease the wheel bearings on the air compressor. Possibly quite dry judging by the sound it makes when you pull away.
We sent down a generator similar to this one to Ukraine (from Sweden), works great from what i have heard. Now it is a backup at a field hospital.
Thank you for the contribution to Ukraine ❤️
Absolutely thorough and correct service and preparations. Then aflat tyre, on a compressor 😅. Sods law again.
Good morning from Pulaski, PA USA! You could rig up a pipe with a valve to extend it out so you can easily change the oil.👍❤️📹😃🇺🇲
90-inch oled, popcorn 🍿, cold drinks 🍸 🎉, greatest video to date❤😊
Martin, nothing seems to frustrate you. You just figure it out. Love your videos.
WOW Both Nice Machines and as Normal you have made them Great Machines Great Vlog Loved it thanks
Dear Mr. Bjoernstroem
👍👌👏 Very well done again (video and work).
Great video you brought us along on your adventure and we were able to see your every action by use of your camera angles.
Those two caps in the tool box look like they would fit inside the center of the oil submersed air filters, the downward facing cone and the O ring around the outside also makes me think that. The hour meter on the compressor is stunning.
"This is some really patent pending stuff"
Hahaha
You should get yourself a 3d printer man, a Prusa or a Bambulabs, printing some little covers for those oil air filter cans would be a nice application.
I'm a machinist and a mechanical technician and I never took to heart how useful they were until I had one at my disposal, I've made things like bearing press tools with it, weird funnels, ducting adapters...
RUclips recommended you, now a subscriber. A lot like Diesel Creek channel from Pennsylvania!
I’ll be just up the road from you in Feb, visiting Kilpisjarvi, only 275km north of you. 😂
Always a good day when you post a video. Love watching you work through different projects. Nice job!
For the engine oil drain plugs, you can get plugs from your Takeuchi dealer that will work with the drain hose on the Takeuchis. Not sure of the thread size, but you should be able to adapt if needed.
Great video nice to have proper machines and tools makes work a lot easier .Thank you for sharing well done
I like the big red compressor ! it sounds real nice with the new exhaust. I kind of wish you would had make a new front grille for it and i think it'd look really mean with the two new pipes for the air intake. those oil bath filters are bulletproof.
Nice video! And No Guts No Glory concerning the pump/governor mishp.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Get a video of all the equipment’s and vehicles…
Would love to see that.
Watching from India.
I love these types of things and would definitely do something like this.
Watching from some days and now a big fan.❤
That multimeter looks awesome!
Hey man the filter on the compressor that only had a metal top the bottom is still in the canister. Those are valves for compressor in tool box
you could do with some Air Hose Whip Check Cables on the joints and the ends that couple to the drill them pipes are no joke if the end un couples under pressure believe me ive seen it happen when drilling underground
Great work. It always feels good to make things work better.
So cool seeing all the road signs. We live in Washington state, but my wife is from Alta, Norway and we drove through that area about 10 years ago. I really enjoy your channel. Keep up the work. I'll be headed to Norway ovre Juletid.
He talked about this in a previous episode...check it out 🙂
That engine gives me flashbacks and fond memories of my old Ford 2000 😄
The recording/editing is KING 🫡
Bra jobbat!
Good content dude keep up with the good work!
Greetings from Romania
Thanks!
1:06:06 Mangels rims. Use to have those in my Toyota DX😀. Really love your videos. Cheers from Österbotten Finland
Very cool new toys for a good price. The workshop is well stocked too. The small wheel at the front of a trailer is a jockey wheel.
Very impressive looking compressor just watch you mooving compressor with excavator if you weld a ball hitch to the blade of excavator Very handy for mooving compressors trailers and anything towable we have a tow hitch on all small excavators Very handy for mooving things on site and in yard. Very interesting videos 👍👍
Might need to do that!
Berry impressive, work ,learning something everyday, thaks for you videos, LC FROM THE USA
