Singapore is hardly a perfect country. People need to broaden their horizons and accept the fact. Instead of focusing on the flaws of other countries and bashing on them. Why not initially welcome those flaws into Singapore as they already exists here and work on them. Singapore is the same as any, the innate desire to progress as a nation. The reason on why they increased are because citizens are demanding more welfare. As anything, it is undeniably quid pro quo. You demand more, the country demands more. Simple ideal to grasp. You could argue that the demands for the increase of welfare are fictitious, and yet I see complaining and talking amongst their cliques about what the nation can do for better welfare. They do not directly ask for them but words do have certain influence and they travel. People are constantly desiring for Sg to be a utopia and being inherently different from other countries. but how? the existing problems are the same, the ideal that our nation is built upon are also the same compared to others. How can ppl expect differently in a uniform world. Poverty is required however shamed. Sg ppl of any age desire for more money and higher paid jobs, sure go ahead. But at the expense of other unfortunate ppl. it is inevitable. Your minuscule facet of a perfect ideal is non existent. Do not use the country's method of enhancing your welfare and in return spit on their faces on how we have poverty. Reflect on yourself and ask yourself why your desires conflict with your perfect ideal of a world and then come back to this issue to further assess your viewpoint.

@@javan5538 aiyo, i politically correct also cannot satisfy you leh. Ok, ok, you tell me how i should say then you wont kill me

Before you go SJW, you better ask about the backgrounds of those rough sleepers. Most are toxic men with personality or mental disorders. You have misplaced compassion.
This is singapore , looks real grand on the outside but the truth is , the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Taxes go up in smokes and whatnot , i love this country but i think its a little pretentious sometimes ,look after the homeless please, make some shelters for them . To those who disagree, take a walk around the beaches , or hdb areas, you'd see them sleeping around.
Please go to Chinatown and Jalan Besar. There are really our homeless Singaporeans.

Hope our garmen will never leave anybody behind 🙏 !!!!
Sometimes people just wish to be alone. Don't get the government people coming around and disturb.

How you know? The govt.if and when they give you shelter its always temporary
Sorry
also do you think JUNTA PAP care so damn WAYANG
Rough sleepers sounds so atas.
Homeless is Homeless lah.
SG garmen,
if they are Singaporeans, please help them.
If they are drunk, then Pls take them away from these hdb residential areas where young girls may be at risk walking home...
These is what most people think when people sleep on the streets.
But do you know the reason why they sleep on the streets even when many do have their own place whether it's rented or belonging to their parents ?
There are hundreds if not thousands at each big cities every night. Most are transient and are fully employed or have some means to support themselves.
As to you worried about them in your neighbourhood, then please ask your daughters don't stay out so late at night.
Housing policy is ridiculous.
I agree they still adopting the same policy must not above $1500 income from the two applicant. HOW TO Qualify????????????????????
Her nek nek big
Singapore government does not care. There are homeless people that want to be help but was rejected by 1001 reasonings from the social organisations let alone the government.
Malaysian living standard is now ahead of Singapore esp Penang, KL n Johore. They take up jobs in Singapore and live in landed properties with big cars. Do they need our empathy? Do focus on Singaporeans social problems (Which Singapore government restrict reporting to create a fake all is good and well in Singapore)
Spot on!!
Deport them if caught saving money sleeping on the roads
As long no one kacao ok lo.
Exactly. Nobody wish stranger to come and disturb.
Go report on rough sleepers in tekong also leh
😂😂😂
Government should give retirees who are Low income groups usd 1200 per month
Those already spend their CPF
Is the government helping us or only themselves only I feel bad for people no homes had to sleep void deck and eastcoast beach weather so cold during raining season
If the gov is only helping themselves then we could be living in worse conditions. Worse then our neighbours don't even have to look far.
You don't see the needy people going to the local cc and asking for necessities and subsidies. If you're Singaporean can always write to the mp your plight and they will answer in some way. There really isn't a lot of homeless people in Singapore compared to other countries. I say this because I have relatives from other countries and Singapore is really better. Even UK with their free health care and benefits have homeless people.
@@laylaminrir yes your right but some homeless people got loan problem and housing problems because my colleague stay rental flat pub using pay as you use have to top up

Whatever reasons, do allow them to hve some rest esp the workers before they start their day of work.
You are trying to help person. or helping government??? "real reason they know why" and why are you guys pretending🤔🤔
why they cant get a rental flat
theres alot of of it.
n too much reason to get a rental flat.
some oldman afford to pay the rent but still cant get the rental flat.
Very true.
I like puppies
opeset from the USA wher there are so many and no help... and the outlook of"they did something wrong in there life and I don't trust them"
There are genuine cases
And
There are those who already have a residence
They are not returning to !!
They live at sixth ave. Very rich one. Must be minister neighbour.
This also happening in KL 🤔
Must turning to LA homeless
That’s jollibee the one who donated food stuff
Now house price too expensive
I have seen some locals begging too....get real....
Meanwhile in Japan drunk people be like😅
I know a freaking singaporean landlord who rents out her utility room for $650+/month, no aircon. I’d rather sleep in a park. Dogs won’t live there.
There are plenty of such landlords!!
Not surprising
is sleeping in cars illegal?
If they want to sleep there just leave them alone lah.
Afraid die alone at home
scary so many oppigs here
The problem with Singapore if Singaporean sleep at any place the MSF catch if foreigner they let them go , Singaporean is a foreigner in their own country 😅😂🤣
Is it against the law to sleep outside?
Look at those poor people. Next moment gov will issue warning Bec make them loose face!
II believe that Our capable authorities should be able to source or build a few hundred places to give these poor people temporary shelter till a more permanent solution is found for them. Get to work boys !
The problem is the pride and ego and stubborness of the rough-sleepers. But notice how safe and comfortable is singapore.
In the past, when you slept outside the cops would show up.
Sleeping rough or homeless ..
Rough sleepers lol
And police so kpo ,go and disturb ppl nice sleep.
Instead of working on Singapore social problem. They waste their time on Foreigners n FW. Isnt it their employers problems? Nosy reporters!!!!
Kpo
What's the problem here?
Like if you want to compare, you are the one who wants to be critical of just an obeversation, Sounds pretty nosey to me.
Did you watch the whole video? He featured Singaporeans too.
When you bring foreign workers here they become part of your social construct.
Lol
Can't agree more
There should be a social experiment done on locals having no accommodation
Instead of mere reporting!!
Sounds condescending!!
We are turning into LA !!!!! USA all sleep outside. Homeless.
How about the return of CPF monies ....need to work till 80?????
If u keep people's money....in normal terms it is called theft....if u think they dont know how to manage their money,,,,thats an excuse,,,clearly
Anyone can become homeless anytime
So be kind and compassionate
Do not be condescending!!
If you are local.
I am not saying we should sugar coat the poverty issue. I am also not trying to be politically correct because my upbringing is not to be a dishonest person, a liar, someone intellectually dishonest. We should not let the world perceive poverty in sg maybe they are just enjoying the breeze. In a nutshell, we should just say, "Knn! This is Boh Bian one mah! Whats the issue? Go go! Nothing to see here. Go away!" Should we blame them so that they cannot blame others?
Then silence is golden.
These are the more pleasant people. There are those that are homeless but still able buy alcohol and being a nuisance…
This problem is all over the world even in the usa theres homeless sad
And no one wants to help them
Rich or Poor we should all rush for the 30 free daily burgers.
They decline help and continue to sleep rough. It's hard to understand them.
Social anxiety
Not true.
Any we call ourselves a nation when we don't even care of our own citizens and those that build our nation????
