The van companies are riding a downward wave at the present. Sales have slowed nationally and price adjustments will come. Personally, the van is too big and top heavy for real off-reading. They have a place in the market. But $300,000 for van is a bit much. You have the right idea, $25,000 is much more practical. Great video !
Let Google-employed hipsters spend the money and buy used from them at a substantial discount, hopefully. I think the vans that cost several hundred thousand dollars are actually targeted toward people, young people, that work for tech companies and pretended to the environmentalists on the weekend.
Hey Doc! What a nice surprise seeing a new video of yours on a Friday. Love how economical this build was, and how much space there is! Love that they have the DIY kits too. As always you’re the consummate spokesperson, and gorgeous as ever. Can’t wait to see your adventures in this van! Have fun, and stay safe!?
I'm always impressed by how clearly you explain the technical details , you obviously do your homework , and as a novice i'm grateful for your explanations . Also i agree , why spend hundreds of thousand when this vehicle will provide all you need for a fraction of that . Looking forward to future adventures .
Practical and budget-friendly. Thanks Doc for giving a great run down on your 2023 Mercedes camper van. I like the color you chose. Now its time to break it in some more and see how she does. Have fun!!!🙂
Doc, the van build is amazing. I love the look of everything you chose. The biggest thing is all the room you have. Of course, as you stated, none of your belongings are in the van at the moment. Please, hold back, you do not need to bring everything! 😀 I am looking forward to seeing you use the van in your adventures! As always Doc, Have Fun! 💜
That's a great setup. I think you're the only creator that remembers that most people have a budget. This other creator showing off her new 250k van like it's just pocket change and half the systems didn't even work right away. Thanks for keeping it real Doc!
Hannah! Love the van, it appears to be so well worth the wait! Very sensible, very practical. You've struck the proper balance between form, function and practicality! Wishing you so many happy carefree miles and wonderful adventures. As always, please take the very best of care. Ciao Bella and happy trails!
There's quite a bit more room in there than I initially thought 👍 Keeping things simple usually means less things to break! I'm curious how the Mercedes fares out & about so I'm looking forward to seeing those results. Thanks Doc!
Looks like a great reasonable priced build and of course watching you showing use your new toy and seeing your smiling face makes it for a great day . I bet you really fun to watch open Christmas presents.
Nice job kiddo looks pretty sharp. The only initial thing I saw I would want to add something to is the cubbies. I would put some sort of internal flush mount magnetically held rigid screen on them to prevent fall out. They wouldn't have to cover the whole hole, this would allow for quick grabs. But as you state, it can be modified for personal use.
Hello my dear Dr. Hannah. What have you brought me today? Ahhh, a van conversion! I’ve been looking into these quite heavily lately and Timber is one of the kits I found. I love the idea of a single, useful design that allows for a simple construction to keep costs down and the option of doing it yourself is a great idea. You say I can fit my Yurt, that information is so useful, so many vans are not Yurt-friendly 😜 Essentials…curling iron ✅ blow dryer ✅ , storage for tasty snacks and a fridge for fun pizza ingredients, what more could a girl want 🤔 I appreciate the crazy electronic sensor sounds you serenaded me with, just lovely. Thanks for taking me along on this “adventure”, until next time 🤗
Hi Hannah!👋 Like your choice of finish, blond wood and grey tweed adds a higher end feel! I think those swivel seats are a must given the added versatility to the space for a pretty small price. Can’t wait to see where you take this rig, 👍✌
Howdy Handy Hanna! Becoming quite the expert on the options for off roaring huh! Glad you went this way and I think you will like the extra security of being able to drive away from any issues that you run into! Thanks for sharing! Ps- I vote for the land with the money you saved!
Great build , seems to have everything that you want . Only thing I would add would be rod holders on the passenger side And the swivel chairs are a terrific touch .
Hello my friend....back at ya !! I luv it, all the options, that is. First of all, I like the color of the van, the wide roomy hallway, the option of a DIY kit and of course the ability to transform it into many arraignments, practical. Thanks for the tour, good job, fantabulous !!....take care.
That van build is absolutely awesome Hannah! Not only is the price right, but the design screams efficiency and ease of use. Looking forward to seeing how you kit it out and how it functions on your adventures.
Great video DR. Hanna. Bout time someone came up with an economical solution. The prices some of these companies are charging is ridiculous. Great video as always. ❤
That is an amazing build for the price, perfect for the person that camps on the weekend or cross country trip. Looking forward to your new adventures.
Hey Hannah, that build looks awesome, I mean, come on, 25k is seriously great value for all the features that you get with it. Can't wait to see you out and about with it.
Hay Hannah, that's cool, I keep my hand/scratch built (by yours truly) 250cc V-twin 70's style enduro motorcycle, right in my front foyer of my house. It took me almost 4 years to build it and it turned out nicer than I was even hoping for. But I just finally got around to painting it and man, this paint job is the coolest I've ever done so far, by far... It's silver glitter, with 27 coats of clear coat. It's like WOOOW!!!!😂
What a nice van. Simple, functional, all the essentials you need and none of the things you don't, and not breaking the bank. Happy adventuring in it and looking forward to seeing where you go with it!
FANTASTIC information and outstanding van. Besides the fact that you are adorable, this information is really great. I love your adventures and I am very jealous of the places you go. Keep it up - we appreciate it very much.
Nice!!! I just bought a Ford E-150 that I plan on converting to a camper van. Your tour gave me a few ideas. Looking forward to more adventures with Dr Hannah❣️
Very nice simple and functional Sprinter build....I like it. The Baltic Birch looks nice smart choice and lightweight. Overhead shelf for more storage drivers area above. A set of 4 season insulated window coverings.....that exposed metal will get hot and cold in those climates. They have some insulated drop down rear curtains that also have a bug screen. I really like your van build because of its simplicity. Most vans you see out there are way over the GVWR for safe legal road travel.
Wow! That really looks like fair value and well thought out. Just enough innuendo to make me smile, thanks Hannah, looking forward to seeing your adventures. 😊
Wow I was thinking about back when I first started watching your site that you were showing us campers and trucks. So now here we are a new camper. Great
Love this minimalistic build, it really is all a person would need! Your input, no doubt from experience on the road was the driving force I’m sure! Great job Hannah! These should do well! Always have fun girl! You’re always amazing! 🤘🏼😎🥰
Now this makes a lot more sense as it is far more practical so to speak Hannah! $200,000+ for a build is completely nuts as you are spot on in terms of buying some land/property instead. The room inside of this is amazing in the video and looks far more roomy than your truck w/camper on it. I also like a lot less electronic "goo" as it is nice when it works but when it does not - pain in the neck and expensive to repair. Looking very forward to seeing this in future videos. Did you keep your truck-camper though or are you going to see how this works out first?? Cool! 😎😎😎
Great build Hannah and you as always - you are the consummate professional in your presentation! Beauty - brains and wonderful sense of humor. You and your van build are both the "total packages' Hannah! Safe travels wherever you are today.....
That is a pretty sick van. Another good thing I would account for would be weight. In a simple build with the price of gas the less weight you carry the better. EX 4x4 E150 owner here. MY E-150 was sold bc of gas price and its horrible mileage(non-Diesel). Have fun with that van.
Hi Doc! Wow that van is so practical! You’re going to make real good use of it! Can’t wait to see what you do with & where you’ll take it! Wish I had that years ago to make my family camping trips easier! Enjoy your new “home” with wonderful adventures!🫶🏻😎
Thank you for measuring the bed area :) Yes, plenty of sleeping area, unless you are like me, 6' 3". If you can't stretch out your legs, you will eventually get hamstring cramps, and those are extremely painful and can even possibly cause damage.
Thanks for the review. I though running a fridge that big would need way bigger solar panels but apparently it only takes 418W/24h. Maybe that is my next upgrade in our summer cottage?
The van install looks great. The wood used with the install looks excellent. The video was well done. You sound and look very happy with your new travel van. The window covers will come in a later vlog is the assumption. I'll look into your van build suggestion. Thanks, RJ!
Ah....there you are Doc. Checked your channel last night to see if maybe I'd missed something. I wish some backyard genius could come up with a truly feasible A/C for vans and small campers. 100+ degrees sure takes the enjoyment out of things. I like the simpler is better reasoning behind this kit.
I really enjoyed seeing your Mercedes Sprinter camper van it is very nice and awesome have great fun with it and have a Merry Christmas Hannah. 💖🎁💖🎄🎀🎄💖🎁💖
@@DrHannahStraight You also! Know that you are loved for who you are and that many like myself enjoy watching your adventures! May the very Truth (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏) set you free from all debts!
Great to see a sensible solution compared to the ridiculously priced van builds.

They have a place in the market. But $300,000 for van is a bit much. You have the right idea, $25,000 is much more practical. Great video !
With the cost of the van plus 25k and up for the conversion you're still spending 100 grand or more. Definitely out of my price range.
@@TheRGSfan Buy used and keep your total investment in the 5 figures instead of 6!
If somebody tries to charge $300,000 for a kitted out van then they're ripping you off, pure and simple. That's more expensive than a fucking house.
I watched because I was interested in what their van kits looked like, but you were kind of annoying.
Let Google-employed hipsters spend the money and buy used from them at a substantial discount, hopefully. I think the vans that cost several hundred thousand dollars are actually targeted toward people, young people, that work for tech companies and pretended to the environmentalists on the weekend.

❤❤ I really tried to find the best value for the price, I think it’s great they offer both the professional install or diy kit option
How reliable are these sprinter vans ?

About time someone created a "plug and play" van build option. It's like IKEA built van furniture. Thanks for the review.
Love it!! Spacious activities area, swivel seats last but not least room for a Motorcycle ❤

Very sensible alternative for those wanting a van build.
By the way love that jacket you were wearing. Very cool
