I don’t have a legitimate reason but generally when you build large parts of your house, painters charge by sqft. And since a garage is most likely going to be covered in tools and other nonsense a lot of people don’t see the point in painting their garage. I know a lot of people who don’t even bother insulating or dry walling their garage since it’s essentially just a workspace/storage area and not a living space
Where'd you put the jack stand if not under the pinch weld? For my S2K, I use a motorcycle jack to get under the frame to get it tall enough to get my hydraulic jack under the frame. Once I get it lifted to where I want, I put the jack stands under the pinch weld
@d00msh0p4 right but jack stands have a valley in them and my frame rails are flat. Don't you risk the car potentially sliding off the stands if you don't have something like the pinch welds to sit at the bottom of that valley?
Guys just Jack it up below the oil pan pfft and Jack stand are for people not living the edge Also for some reason I’m on my 8th oil pan 😅 cheaply designed I guess
Wheel chocks are more important than you'd think. Had a parking break cable blow on an absolute rust box, seeing that 5 ton jack stand wobble a memory that still gives me anxiety.
Instructions unclear my car is lifting my jack
Seem simple and obvious, but many folks don't follow these simple steps.
Good video!👍
Imo the pinch welds like to rust out and crumble. I prefer to use the engine cradle (k-frame) to lift and support from.
Nice ride by the way.
Appreciate it! I love my miata but I'm looking at building a rotary this winter 😮
Are you trying to deform your floor pan. Your jack stand is supposed to be held up at the pinch weld
not sure how you fit in that car, your a big guy and its designed for women
I love my ND. and I'd probably end up with a NA someday just because.
and if it rolls forward
Yeah, and the first time anyone jacked it up right there with a jack like that crushes it
Why isn't your garage painted?

any reinforced point or the frame rail itself.

Chuck the wheel and release the parking brake. This allows a fulcrum so the jack wouldn’t move when lifting.

Where do you support the jackstand on normally?
I prefer to set it down on the k-frame (the removable sub-frame section that holds the engine, transmission, and steering.)
Nice tool box
First off this is NOT A CAR! This is a prissy boy play toy for Ken. Because he can not handle the Vette GI Joe just pulled up in! 😅
tell me your insecure without telling me your insecure
