Guys I wouldn’t suggest falling into this rabbit hole of sects in Islam. Speak with a knowledgeable brother that adheres to the sunnah like the Muslim lantern before shaytan confuses you. There is a right and wrong way. The only right way is that of the Quran and sunnah

Guys if you’re Muslims and you do one prayer at night like 3 am or 4 am you would feel amazing you can’t get that from meditating for a month, I promise you it is so good that you would probably say wow I wanna do this everyday.

@@chennafe3957 night prayers are two, two, you can pray as much as you want. The prophet peace be upon him used to pray 8 rakaat and finish it with Watr prayer which is 3 rakaat (2 together and then 1 rakaat alone).

True Sufis do not accept any example other than the Quran and the Sunnah, and their whole lives are about living these fully in their lives.
True sufis believe bid’ah is permissible which is the exact opposite of quran and sunnah.
Many fakes sufi making thing hard to understand true sufi, a true sufi don't even talk about him being sufi, he doesn't even care to explain unless you can connect with him with the understanding he have, this is what makes thing harder.
There is no such true or fake sufi. Sufism is fake itself. Because there is no sufism in Quran and Sunnah. Zuhhad and Ubbad were not sufis in first generations.
The fact that someone even calls themselves sufi and not a muslim is the problem. Why are they trying to divide muslims by calling themselves different names? This is why alot of them will be in Hell because the ummah is not united anymore.
It doesn't matter, meditation or whatever way u & me feel god, if we don't pray the daily 5 prayers, there's a really good chance we will go to hell according to Al-Qur'an & hadith. The prophet used to go to a cave to isolate himself from people before revelation. Meditation is okey as long as you don't think it's a way of worship. The only acceptable worship is what the prophet taught us. Innovation is very dangerous it's what lead many people go astray and change the words of Allah.
And wahabi is one of them who innovate .

You should read on Imam Ghazali if you want to get more info on Sufism. He used to be one of the main proponents of SUFISM . Written highly acclaimed books on the practices too. But the twist is that in the latter part of his life he abandoned many of the stances he had on Sufism. But his works are worth a read.

Hi. Just to give you my experience. I had a friend who shared that she was Sufi, and shared that they hold a person to a saint like position and travelled out of the country if they were having troubles with their lives for consultation. She also shared that he gives them talesmans and tokens to protect them from evil. She shared that her house is now filled with multiple spirits from his advise and she said all this with adoration in her voice and I was so shocked by how far a person can close their minds off.

I am sufi and i follow the Qur’an and the sunnah of prophet Muhammad saw. There are extreme sufis out there that i don’t like. They are out of control. Everything you see about sufis they are dancing round circles and do other stuff i don’t know what that is to be honest never seen that

He, may Allah raise his rank, said: “We did not attain Sufism through hearsay; however, we attained it through staying awake at night praying, hunger from fasting, and parting with pleasures.” Because Sufism is a methodology implemented with purity in actions, Harithah Ibn Malik, who was from the Ansar Companions of the Prophet, said, “I became detached from this world [and its luxuries]. I spent my nights awake [praying] and my day thirsty [fasting in obedience] and so firm in my convictions and belief as if I’m seeing the ^Arsh, as if I’m seeing the people of Paradise visiting one another and as if I’m seeing the people of Hellfire being tortured.” Dear beloved, the Sufis do not forbid that which Allah has made lawful, rather they take heed of the prophets, of whom none was indulge in the worldly luxuries and pleasures.Those who are acquainted with the life style of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, know that he used to go hungry many times.
He did not care much about food. For most of the month, fire rarely was lit to cook with in his house, as his family was satisfied with just water and dates. Master Abu Bakr was once seen, after becoming a Caliph, carrying something to sell in order to earn a living for his family. He was told: “O the successor of the Messenger of Allah, we can take care of your needs, why should you go out and work by yourself?”

Dear Muslims, Sufism is knowledge and implementation. It is not ignorance, laziness, dependence and greed. This is the tip of the iceberg of the course and the life style of the Sufi masters. True Sufis are people who realize the importance of the Obligatory Knowledge of the Religion and endeavor to acquire it through proper channels, i.e., through trustworthy and knowledgeable teachers.
They acquire the knowledge, then implement it and encourage others to do the same. Sufis are a people who follow the Great Messenger, Muhammad, in a full manner by following his teachings and his example. They weigh things by the scale of the Religion. They do not deem lawful that which Allah ordained as unlawful, and they do not deem unlawful that which Allah ordained as lawful. They judge ugly what the laws of the Religion judge ugly, and they judge good what the laws of the Religion judge good. They do not indulge their appetites, and do so willingly.

Sufis are people who practice islam like any other muslim, follow the rules, do good deeds... the extra thing about sufism is that it emphasizes attaining a closer connection with God through more practices like meditation, quran reading and ethical conduct. So in another words, Sufism places a strong emphasis on introspection and personal spiritual development alongside following Islamic teachings. They also may engage in specific practices like dhikr. Finaly they usualy follow a teacher-student model for guidance. But as the Shaykh said in the video, some sufis don't follow strictly Islam teaching. Which is basically a red flag

@@osmanali7500 Brother, if anyone worships only Allah azza wa jalla, do not commit shirk, keep salah and pay zakah. He is muslim. But sufis are making dua others than Allah, like Gailani, Nakhsbandee etc. Islam is Tawheed. If anyone breaks Tawheed, he is not muslim anymore. It doesn't matter what they call themselves.

As a revert it took me a minute to get over all this but there were no sects in Prophet Muhammed's (SAW) time. He was simply Muslim (Which means one who Submits) and that's all that matters. Follow in His (SAW) Footsteps and don't allow mankind to steer you away from Allah (SWT)

Imam al-Bukhari (Allah have mercy on him) narrates on the authority Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) that he said, “I have memorized from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and give him peace) two containers (of knowledge): as for one of them, I have spread it amongst you; and as for the other, had I spread it amongst you, this throat (of mine) would have been cut.” [Bukhari]

This is the path of the prophets, peace and blessings be upon them, and this is the path of our Master Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Indeed, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the role model for all pious Muslims and those who detached themselves from the worldly pleasures. Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, used to eat the cheap barley bread although he used to give (in charity) abundantly without fearing poverty.
My dear brothers in Islam, the true Sufis are the ones who follow the Methodology of Prophet Muhammad and are keen to imitate the Prophet, peace be upon him.
So anyone who goes against the rules conveyed by our Master Muhammad is not a Sufi.
Anyone who holds a belief other than the belief of our Prophet Muhammad is not a Sufi.
Anyone who is ignorant about the Religion of our Prophet Muhammad is not a Sufi.
And anyone who does not follow the orders of our great Master Muhammad, is indeed not a Sufi.
Imam Ahmad Ar-Rifa^iyy may Allah raise his rank said: “Our path is based on acquiring the knowledge of the Religion and implementing it”.
Dear brothers in Islam, unfortunately, there are some who have claimed to be Sufis while contravening the Shari^ah and leaving out the practices that were conveyed by the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him. How many of those who present themselves as Sufis have been seen perverting the Religion of Allah? Some falsely believe that Allah dwells in his creations or that He has unified with this whole universe and that the elements of this universe have become parts of Him. All these beliefs are blasphemous.
The ignorant people are far from true Sufism. They try to cover their defects by saying to people statements such as “We are the people of the inwardly spiritual practices and you are the people of the outwardly actions”. Our response to them is that a Sufi is the one who has worked very hard to rectify himself inwardly and outwardly in accordance with the Religion of Allah.
We ask Allah to end our lives as righteous Muslims and to make us amongst those true Sufis who follow the teachings of the Prophet in its entirety. Ameen.

You have to follow the Quran and Sunnah. Lots of practices observed by Sufis are out of the fold of Islam. The intention of Sufis may not be bad but the fact is they do not fall generally and fully into Islam.
Prophet wanted all his followers to follow his footstep, and to say he had given it to others privately then it means he cheated on his Ummah.
Islam is based on the Noble Qur'an and the Prophetic Traditions (sunnah).
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered all the messages he received from his Lord- Almighty Allah. He didn't hide some portion of special knowledge for a specific people amongst his followers(like what other suffis claims).
You can only come closer to God by doing good things through the methodology of the Prophet. Anything outside of it are considered Innovation and corruption of the Religion.
Sure everyone gets closer to Allah in his/her own way, but in the end, the submission part is how Allah wants us to submit, not how WE want, because that is how we make ourself our own god. And there is a name for that thing called Liberalism.

i think in islam the only way to be closer to allah is by praying it's better than meditation 'cause by praying you have connection with god and that is your faith in allah . and the closest you are to allah is when you prostrate based on what prophet muhammad pbuh said

Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in his sermon that he is leaving behind two things in this world for his ummah "Qur'an" and "sunnah".
Now Qur'an is not an ordinary book that if one will read it then he/she can understand it so one needs an authentic teacher who teaches he/she the Qur'an as he was taught by his teacher and this chain goes back to prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
This chai of authenticity is inculcated by the real Sunnis sometimes they are called "Sufis".
This chain of authenticity is mentained by them still in current times.
The second thing that prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam told that he is leaving behind for his Ummah is his "Sunnah".
Sunnah means the way of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam and his family. His lineage .
Most of the Sufi sheikhs are descendants of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam either from the mother's side or from father's side.
When it comes to one saying anything about God, or the way to worship God, one should not say anything about God except what He informed us about Himself through His prophets and messengers. and their way is the only way accepted by Him and pleasing to Him. Follow the prophet of your time to your best.
Your way of finding god is subjective, because if there is a god like you believe there should be an objective way of finding god.
And Islam provides that! may Allah guide you and your wife inshallah!

The True Sufis
Dear brothers in Islam, our topic for today is about Sufism. Sufism is not just to wear the Jubbah (cloak) or the ^imamah (the turban which shaykhs put on their heads), or even to praise Allah a lot, while leaving out the obligations which include learning the knowledge of the Religion. Rather, Sufism is a combination of both knowledge and implementation. How many of the people today consider themselves as Sufis, and yet have not learnt the knowledge of the Religion? Such people will never reach the rank of Righteousness without acquiring the knowledge of the Religion.
A Sufi is the one who embraced the Belief of the Oneness of Allah and is fulfilling the obligations and is not attached to the worldly pleasures. A Sufi is a humble person who subjugates himself to Allah, is reliant on Allah and is sincere in his acts of obedience to Allah.
The master of the Sufis, Imam Al-Junayd Al-Baghdadiyy, may Allah have mercy on him said: “We did not seek Sufism through talking and chit-chatting, rather, we sought it by feeling hungry, staying awake at night as much as we can and abstaining from all what is desirable and favourite to one’s self amongst the worldly pleasures”. This means that the true Sufi is the one who stays awake at night as much as he can to perform a lot of optional rewardable acts of obedience and does not indulge in following his appetite and desires.
This is the path of our master Abu Bakr, ^Umar, ^Uthman, ^Aliyy and those who righteously followed them in adhering to the methodology of our Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. In the past and until present times, the earth has never been empty from the true followers of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him who are identified as the true Sufis. They are the ones whose hearts are sincere and free of corruption.
لماذا هذة الممارسات اللتي ربما بعض المسلمين يعملونها اتخذتو منها دينا كاملا خاصا خاصا سميتوه صوفي لم يكن في عهد الصحابه فرق كثيره كانت فرقه واحده سنة الرسول وانتهى
They go against the desires of their selves. As for the one who sticks to using the subahah (remembrance beads), lowering the head, and closing the eyes when saying the ‘wird’ without proper following for the Messenger, is a liar and a deceiver.
Whoever is seeking true Sufism should follow the Messenger of Allah sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and be on the footsteps of the true Sufis from among the Companions, their followers, and the followers of their followers. Let his motto be: ‘What the religion judges as good then it is judged as good; and what the religion classifies as ugly then it is judged as ugly’.
O Allah, detach our hearts from this world and make us attached to the hereafter! Make us recognize our bad doings and guide us to fix them

sufi is like algebra in math when you start to learn basic math it is not recommended to do algebra before learning other things like multificarion division etc..
استغفر الله العظيم بعض الصوفية خرجو عن ملة الاسلام حتى الصوفية اللذين يجلسون المسجد ويقرأون الاذكار بصوت واحد جماعي هذا بدعه وليس من سنة الرسول بشئ يتجمعون ويغنون الاذكار لا يجوز وبدعه احدثو شي في الاسلام لم يكن في سنة النبي محمد وايضا رأيت كثيرين من اتباع الصوفيه يتبركون بمشايخهم لدرجه انه يضع يده على راسه ويحس الشخص انه شفي لدرجة رأيت انه ياخذ السواك اللذي في فمه ويبلل ريقه وياخذه الشخص ويطعمه يريد قدسية هذا الشيخ هولاء فوقه مبتدعه واغلبها كافره خرجت عن المله كيف يتهمون ان النبي خبأ اسرار والله يأمره ان يؤدي رسالة الاسلام كامله كل نبي ادى رسالة ربه كامله ولذالك امتدحهم الله سبحانه وتعالى في القران الكريم ،،تجنبو الفرق الضاله اللتي تدعي الاسلام

{Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.} [Al `Imran 3:19]
Here He, may He be Glorified and Exalted, tells us that there is no religion that is acceptable to Him except Islam, which means submitting, surrendering and humbling oneself before Allah, may He be Exalted, worshipping Him alone, and believing in Him and in His Messengers, and what they brought from Allah. For each Messenger Allah prescribed a system of law and a method, until He sent the last of them, Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) He sent him to all people, so after him, Allah will not accept any religion from anyone except Islam, which is the religion that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) brought.
Islam is only one path and there is no other, which is to worship God alone and follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad
Han, these are the best of the ten days with God, so seize the opportunities and enter Islam and fast on the day of Arafah. Perhaps it will be good for you in your livelihood and in your body. A blessing will come upon you and forgiveness from God and you will be among those accepted.
قولك: ( لا توجد طريقة صحيحة أو خاطئة تماما 3:02 للعثور على طريقك إلى الله )
هذا يعني: أنه يوجد طرق عديدة للوصل إلى الله، إخترها البشر من أنفسهم غير طريق رسول الله، محمد ﷺ الوحيد، إذا فهم كلهم رسل وانبياء من عند الله.
وهذا يعني: أنك تكذب الله عندما قال في سورة الفاتحة: ( إهدنا الصراط المستقيم ) والذي هو الطريق الوحيد، وتكذب محمد رسول الله ﷺ صراحة وتخطئه في الحديث 73 فرقة و التي قال كلها في النار إلا واحدة، و التي ذكرهم هذا الشيخ الآن.

Perenialism, the idea that there are multiple ways to God it that all religions are equally valid and can lead to salvation is considered heresy by all religions, including Islam. Sufism is a very broad term, it's not one thing, and it's not a sect, it's more like a way or a method. Long story short, sufis focus on spirituality and spiritual connection to God as opposed to the physical aspects of Islam. Every sect, has its own sufis. You can be a sunni sufi or a shia sufi.

From Abdullaah ibn Amr who said,
the Messenger of Allaah, SallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam, said:
“The Jews had split up in to seventy-one sects,
and the Christians had split up into seventy-two sects,
and my nation will split up into seventy-three sects,
all of whom will go to the fire except one.’
The Companions asked:
‘Which one O Messenger of Allaah?’
He replied:
“What I am upon and my Companions are upon.”
Meditate on the Quran and Sunnah, on your relationship with Allah, and on the ummah. You can replace the word meditation with deep contemplation or self-reflection. As far as I know, there is no such meditation in Islam in the way that the Tibetan Buddhists practice using breathing and visual techniques.
Becareful on trending on sects, practice islam in the way of Allah, follow the Quran.
Be a Muslim and not a suffi, shia or sunni.

Sufi or shia or sunni whatever the names humanity has produced, if something is against the oneness of Allah, against the Quran, against the Sunnah of the Prophet, Or both is blasphemous and NOT Islam. Allah has said in the Quran that He has perfected the religion for all Humanity and The Prophet had fulfilled his duty of conveying the Truth. If the Prophet had withheld anything from the People, God wld have known and wldnt have allow it as the Truth is for everyone not for a selected few. I would humbly just, when first learning about Islam, do get lost in different sects of Islam. There aren’t supposed to be any sects, but human beings will be corrupted. Prophet Muhammad taught against dividing into sects as does Allah in the Quran. Just stick to the basics of Islam and the sunnah of prophet Muhammad, before you learn anything else!

I hope you follow quran & sunnah also submit your will to Allah. Don't try to find any other way to find Allah on your own without guide. Meditation won't get your there. im seeing your only problem is you try to find god other than what Allah tells you to do which is quran & follow the prophet Muhammad (SAW) sunnah. And you're not submitting your will to the word of Allah. Im sorry you're close but still so far away.

There is 2 things : intention and action.
a) Basis is your intention, if one makes a deed by ostentation, his intention is wrong and the deed is rejected.
b) Then the action itself should be in accordance to the Prophet's teachings. Otherwise it is rejected.
- If you want to pray your daily prayer facing Autralia because it's a beautiful country from God's creation, your prayer is rejected. God instructed you to pray facing the House Abraham built, peace be upon him.
- If you do it wrong out of ignorance, you may be rewarded for your good intention, but the deed itself is rejected, you need to perform it again. And if you purposefully stays ignorant, in fact you know and are avoiding to correct yourself (through learning, asking those who know, etc.). So here your intention is corrupt.

a) Intention. Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, deeds are only with intentions, and every person will have only what they intended. Whoever emigrated to Allah and His Messenger, his emigration is for Allah and His Messenger. Whoever emigrated to get something in the world or to marry a woman, his emigration is for that to which he emigrated.”

B) Actions must follow the Sunnah
- Aicha, may God be please with her, reports that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "If somebody innovates into this matter of ours something that is not part of it, it will be rejected." (Bukhari 2697)
- Said bin Ibrahim reported that Aicha told him that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said : "He who does an act which we have not commanded, will have it rejected (by Allah)."
=> In term of worhsip, you should first wait for the order to perform it, then you do it. You do not invent worships.
=> But for mundain life, it is the opposite, everything is permited, except if there is a text prohibiting it.
That said, the religion is complet.
- Allah said : "Today I have perfected your religion for you" [sourate 5, verse 3]. In comment to this verse, Imam Malik Ibn Anas (died in 179H) said: "Whoever innovates in Islam an innovation that he sees as good has certainly claimed that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has betrayed the revelation because Allah said: - "Today I have perfected your religion for you" [5:3]. So what was not part of the religion on that day cannot be part of the religion today." (Quoted by Imam Shatibi in Al I'tisam vol 1 p 62)
- Added to that, Abou Dhar reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is nothing that brings near to Paradise or farther from Hell except that I have certainly shown it to you.” (Silsila Sahiha n°1803)
Last point I wanted to highlight, indeed, pondering over the creation, how the word is and was created, pondering over the blessing of God upon you, remembering God, all these increase your faith.
- Allah said : "Those who remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire." (vers 3:191)
I would recommand you to listen to scholar commentaries of the Book 40 Hadith Nawawi. It is a collection of ~40 Hadtihs, that encompase the religion, recommended to every Muslim. Some of the Hadtihs I quoted would be studied there. For instance "40 Hadith Moosaa Richardson" on Google.

Shaikh assim Haa a scholarly opinion but its not an absolute. The permissibility of any practice is underpinned by shari principles.shsikh assim and many like him do not constitute the only accepted norm. Virtually all scholars of the past were part of a school of tassawuf including those who also opposed certain sufi practice. Without tassawuf, the essence of islam is dead.
I am a Muslim who practices Sufism in my Islam, which is another way to say I self-reflect on the practices of my religion rather than mindlessly following.
Just stick to the quran and sunnah stop following innovations.

He warned that the ummah will be divided into many sects and only those who follow the quran and sunnah will enter paradise. Again im not against reflecting and other stuff, but against people ascribing themselves to a « sect ». We are Muslims and that’s it.
@@redmockingbird6206 The Prophet never used the word Tawhid or Madhab either. Of course Sufism is a word created to describe that particular aspect of Islam that the Prophet pbuh and his followers were practicing.

Allah told us about the right straight path and the right way of meditation that will lead us to be closer to him he gave everything we need to please him in his last perfectly preserved revelation (Quran&Sunnah) and he left no room for innovations and he warned us from innovating that it’ll lead us to hellfire just like the Christians and jews did before so innovating a new way of meditation the way we like subjectively not the way Allah taught us to do and claiming that it brings us close to god is just a weapon of satan he uses to mislead humanity therefore, it is a black and white matter, and there is no grey area either u follow the right islamic path or u don’t and we’ll face the consequences of our choices after the test of life ends, so if you say there is no right or wrong way you’re basically saying that all religions are right which is a contradiction and that god just left us in confusion which is again unjust of him to do such thing then holds us accountable.
So you don't need to become a Muslim if for you there is no bad way to be close to God, so you can worship Him as you please and according to what seems good to you which obviously makes no sense
