    12:21 the e5 black pawn actually moved after close-open the board, because e4 and e5 got squeezed together

    Would it be possible to increase the volume of your video recordings ? I have to increase my volume to maximum and then get blasted with a loud commercial. Just a suggestion 😉 Chess is such a wonderful game. Thanks for showing us what's available 👍

      That's very interesting you bring that up I will have to look into how that can be done!

    What a gyp! No scooters, no 30 mph, no neighbors, no tossing! Joking aside, I appreciate the review and Orange and black, I’ll be passing these out instead of candy at Halloween.

    Looks nice and beautiful pieces do generally stay in place however when paying anywhere near $50.00 it has one very serious flaw which for that kind of money i would not expect it to have and that is exactly as you explained in early part of the video namely the pieces meeting in the middle and when you close it up they catch each other thus moving them out of position. I myself have got a nice strong and small but easy to see Chess & Bridge pocket magnetic chess set which cost me around $8.00 and is very practical and is far superior in value in comparison to the $50.00 set shown your video. Your videos are very comprehensive and i have watched a number of them though and i do enjoy them.

    Interesting, BUT pieces have a height. You might as well carve out their regular shapes.
    Printing makes sense for those thin flat magnetic sheets, where the overall volume of the set is so much smaller (price is smaller too) and easier to carry around. It is, after all, a travel set.

    I love the product, but even on sale right now for 42 CAD and the 23 CAD shipping also gets added after.... a little expensive, pretty sure I could download a free app on my phone and play chess right now and never worry about losing pieces. Maybe when I have the money to spare I would like to buy it :)

    This would be perfect for hiking, stop for a few minutes to play a few moves and roll it up and move on.

    Reminds me of the old 80s rolykits I saw advertised on TV. Cool concept, not a fan of the triangle edges. Wish they could fold flat when the board is open, but that'd make it even more expensive.

      Trivia Pursuit when it was first made cost $300 in the 80’s to produce. The inventor sold it at a loss for $50 which was still a hefty price for a board game. That was 1980’s money. Today you can get it for $50 or less which is far cheaper. Maybe in 20-30 years it will get to $20.

    It’s an interesting concept - but most people finish their games in one sitting. It is a hard sell at $50. $25 seems more impulse buy friendly to me. Thanks for the unique review!

    • @AlSuChess
      @AlSuChess  Год назад +3

      Yeah I agree, 25 is an impulse buy for me too, but since I make videos to share with you guys, then 50 is still ok. $100 would have been too much! Thanks for watching!
