Always been funny to me that a song that (at least, to us Americans) is so emblematic of Italy was originally written for something as mundane as the opening of a cable car.

Lol that's a great point. I was thinking the same thing when I was recording this. I thought it was about a trolley car but I couldn't remember for sure. And Rodney Dangerfield singing it in Easy Money - if you know the movie!

Absolutely Marvellous !. Lovely sounds x . I use to play this wonderful old song on the SS Irpinia,
an Italian Liner (13,000 tons), in 1967. Written in 1880. We always finished he evening with this super tune. This is a fantastic piano roll. A little licence with the “ added notes”,
but brilliant ! x x .
