My piano is old. It's slightly out of tune. It was given to me for free and I brought it back to life. I record these videos with my phone in my hand, sometimes the video is shaky although I do have a tripod now. If you don't like it, don't listen - don't watch. I've decided to upload videos of songs / rolls that are fun and great to hear. Others I haven't seen or can't find anywhere else online. These are great songs and pieces of history. Thanks for watching if you've chosen to do so!
Also, since my channel seems to be growing, and I'm reaching more people, I would consider trading some of my rolls. I'll cut to the chase, I'm interested in Confrey on QRS and Rudy Germain on Vocalstyle. I have about 100 blues, rags, and odd title rolls most of which I would part with for trade. I recently got this roll in a lot. I knew nothing about it. It was pretty was trashed on the left side, but I played it anyway, and I'm glad I did! What a fun song about nursery rhymes and prohibition. A song with lyrics like this simply wouldn't exist in today's world. I'm glad I repaired this roll, and I hope you are too. Thanks for watching.

This a "uke" roll. I've also heard them called banjo rolls. I don't have very many of these. The few I do have, I believe are rather mundane and boring songs. This roll is in pretty good shape, considering its box and the broken flanges. I feel like it tends to lope and drag. Maybe it's just me. I don't really care for the tremolo in this arrangement, but I do like the difference lyrics. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching.

Great arrangement! I've come to really like the Pianostyle arrangements and it seems like those rolls have survived time ok.

I wish more rolls were like this. You’re lucky to find it in such great shape. I have a 65 note roll of the shovel fish rag and the left side of the roll is OBLITERATED from start to finish. Thanks for posting! Have you had this scanned?
@That_One_Player_Piano you're most welcome! Thanks for commenting. No I haven't had it scanned. I'll be straight honest, I don't anyone well enough to trust that I'll get my roll back. Everyone wants to blame the mail and say things like "oh you know how the postal service is...." Yeah. Very dependable 99% of the time... Do you know of anyone who would scan a roll that you would trust? I have plenty I'd love to have scanned.

Of the 3 versions you've posted, this one wins my vote. Its interesting. The first few counts of the intro are similar to the intro of Baby Face on QRS by Victor Arden.

I’ve always wondered why I’ve never seen any photos of the machines or the place and people who made Aeolian rolls from this period of time . They are clearly different from QRS rolls arrangements.
