    I'm so happy to see this car hitting the market. I can't wait to test it out once it becomes available in the US. Great video, by the way. Thanks.

    Cool. I love Hyundai. I had a Sonata, a i30 and a IX35. Sonata runs 280.000 km without any Problems. i30 150.000, IX35 75.000 km. Now i have a KIA Sportage, driven 40.000 km in 8 Month, no Problems. Cool brand. IONIQ is not a car 4 me, because often i drive 900 km a day. Tesla is too expensive (4 me). So...next generation of IONIQ will do 600 km...?

      TheObsessedGardener Yes, it's hard sometimes...but i love my job and it's ok. And i love driving, i hear good music very loud in my car, nobody cares...Harman Kardon Sound System...what can i say? Coooooool...i have a lot of fun. I am old, i listen to Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Status Quo. But, i use an iPhone with bluetooth and induction charging. Coooooool.. ;-)) Kia Sportage is a very prof. car too. I like it. With a little tuning up to 260 bhp you can "hear" an Audi driver..."WTF"..... haha.. :-)). Sorry, maybe my english is...hmmm...strange?

    At 4:13 min. there is a charger in the front of the car, next to the wheel. Never seen that, unfortunately.

    This commercial reminds me that third-person reviews are so much better than in-house promotional materials. Car companies probably rely quite a lot on reviews. Their own promotions are very dull and uninformative.

    Bought one in Dec 2016, Done nearly 10,000 miles but now trying to sell it. "Why" Well its a fantastic car, Reliable, Even managed the quoted range driving like a pensioner. But the charging infrastructure in the uk is a complete joke. Most of my journeys are well within its range and no problem, However when it isnt you need to plan a charger at say 100 miles then another 20 miles later incase the first is faulty/in use or iced (About 40% of the time) And with the take up its only going to get worse.
    Esso are slowly adding chargers at their petrol stations but cost the same a petrol, and take 30-45 mins and again needs an app.
    The next big problem is apps, they are very often crap, Charge master won't work normally on android and won't even give you your £20 back when you try. The rest are hit or miss.
    Then the parking, We all have to pay for parking, But having to pay for it when you don't need to park but have to at a charging point is a rip off.
    And the triple, This is when you have to pay to park pay to use the charger pay for the electric, Just imagine petrol stations trying this one.
    Now in a couple of hours time i need to go to Gatwick airport to pick up two friends, Its 136 miles, Well within range but about the limit. But only 4 chargers so will prob all be taken like last time at term 5, And at gatwick they are 3kw so if available will take about 8 hours, And the parking cost i have no idea but £30-£50 as 2 hours at LHR is £14
    So will be taking a spare car i have had to buy "Diesel" Stupid state of affairs really.
    So before you buy an electric car think very carefully.
    One last thing i am very impressed with Hyundai, Great cars, Would suggest Hybrid/Plug in hybrid or I30 diesel auto

    It fails completely by having only a 28kWh battery at this time, when cars with a bigger range are coming to the market :(

    • @Trades46
      @Trades46 8 лет назад +2

      Yes but take into account pricing. If Hyundai prices the Ioniq EV under the golden ~$35k mark that will make it cheaper than the cheapest Chevrolet Bolt & existing EVs such as BMW i3 and Nissan Leaf.
      And for the last time, I do not believe that $35k poverty spec Model 3 will ever be produced, at least not until 2019 earliest.

    what the hell is with the grey plastic grill insert... please Hyundai u could have though of something better...even colour coded would have been much much better!!!

      Tadhg O’Connor
      I don't mind it. I think the contrast works well, but I appreciate your point of view with respect to colour coding it. Blocking the grill, I believe aids drag minimisation.

    • @tadhgoconnor434
      @tadhgoconnor434 7 лет назад +1

      KatiushaVN4...... U don't say.... obviously!!!! IMO the grey plastic inserts are not very stylish....they looked even worse when I went to buy one. Hyundai should act fast because it most probably a very good car with sound engineering.... but u got to have style. Colour code them at least !!!

      You remind us why early motorcars looked like horseless carriages. As new technology is introduced, there is a segment of the market that wants it to look like the technology it replaces. An EV does not need an air intake for either the engine or cooling system, so why should it have one ? Some day no cars will have any grille of any kind and catching the occasional a glimpse of an ice car with its grille feeding the radiator and engine air intake will make it look thoroughly antiquated.

    • @tadhgoconnor434
      @tadhgoconnor434 7 лет назад +2

      I'm not saying it should have a grill or air intakes, it doesn't need them but it should have somthing better than grey lumps of plastic clipped in.

    o-60 km/hr in 4.2 sec. You called that faster than most sports car? That's in km, not miles. 0-100 km/hr time is 10.2, that's woefully lagging almost all other EVs in this class. This thing is DOA.

    • @albertpm89
      @albertpm89 8 лет назад +2

      4.2 secs 0-60 km/hr isn't fast but is quicker than many basic sporty cars that do 0-100 km/hr in the 8 secs range; this is thanks to the instant torque that electric cars have. Low speed acceleration is their greatest asset.
      That said in Sport mode the Ioniq Electric does 0-100 km/hr in the mid 9 secs range; not sure what translates to in the 0-60 km/hr time. Probably something around 4 secs flat I would figure.
      In city and low speed driving this is quick enough

  • @fiskare921
    @fiskare921 8 лет назад

    nonononono you are wrong in sport mode it goes from 0-60 in 9.9 sec and in normal mode it takes 10.3 sec so you are totally wrong its nowere near 4,3 sec lol

    • @HenriZwols

    Too much unneeded accessories when it comes to talk about car markets in MENA region and developing countries. Lane keeper, automatic driver, automatic parking, seat heaters, driver seat repositioner, battery warmers, wifi access point, back seat monitors and front dashboard-top monitor all that add to the price and will make it harder for such creative car to get easy marketing in a very promising market for electric cars. I wish something like that could be "tailored" for such markets with a more affordable price.

    • @عباسعبدالنور-ج3ج
      @عباسعبدالنور-ج3ج 8 лет назад

      You'd rather stop being a filthy racist to see that I'm talking about lower socioeconomic classes rather than Arabs. Coz if it comes to Arabs, then an ignorant like you may not know that the Lamborghini is a police car in Dubai. In Saudi Arabia, many of the Saudis own cars of top brands and versions that the likes of you can only dream about.

      I'm talking to you from Egypt. One of the countries where you can find the most heavily subsidized gasoline in the world if not the most one at all. Still, electricity is even cheaper. The subsidized price for a liter of gasoline is more than twice the price of a 1.5 KWh electricty - the electric equivalent of a gasoline liter for the same distance - at a non subsidized price. For people it will cut their spending by more than half on fuel. For the country it would save us billions of dollars in terms of " Opportunity cost ". Tens of billions of dollars are spent in our countries every year to sell it not at a free price and not even at its real cost of extraction but at an even lower price !

      He left out the word "affordable and available" electric cars, when he said fastest - that's all.. At least in my country until mid of 2017 this is true.

      There are only 3 Tesla models (Roadster is no longer on sale). Fastest top speed is 155mph. See wiki links below. Which means this Ioniq is truly best top speed. Video is not talking about acceleration, torque, etc..it only says top speed.
      Tesla Model 3 top speed is only 140mph
      en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Model_3
      Tesla Model S top speed is 155mph

      Tesla Model X top speed 130mph

    pointless boast and also completely untrue.
