    PC-21 is great at everything, but it's especially great if you want it to be a lawnmower on grass. That low hung prop cuts through grass better than some mowers we've used.

    I bought this plane as a jet trainer, and it was rock solid and flew like it was on rails. I really liked this model. The only concern I had was that even on 4s, this plane is underpowered. It needs to accelerate faster, and have a higher top speed, but other than that, it was great step up for me when I was ready to manage flaps and landing gear on a model.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  11 месяцев назад +1

      I don't disagree that it could use a bit more power on 4S, but it's got enough to fly, for sure, just not like the planes we're getting today. This plane has been out for a while, and I'd LOVE to see another one released...possibly a 1.2m with more bells and whistles ;)

    I thought the nose looked goofy, when i 1st saw the Pilatus. I really like this plane now. That prop sounds great and the red looks amazing in the sky 👍

    U and your wife are working overtime with the amount of quality footage hitting my news feed! Keep it up Brian love watching ur vids.. even the stuff i have no interest in buying. Agree this is an absolute 10/10 plane. This plus the Nanchang are my keepers for the 1.2m class. No drama ground ops. No issues with bending gear. Good sized lipo and loading capacity. And the main thing is they're different to the usual stuff. My nanchang is my favorite but the pilatus is a close 2nd. I put in the FMS Voodoo motor and fly on 5s. Its a 125mph rocket. I dont sit at them speeds but I love the power it has to climb from stand still. And someone I respect in this game once said....Power saves lives 👍🏾

    Nice flying Brian! Can you PLEASE, PLEASE do a short video on remote ID? I've learned 90% of what I know about this hobby from you and I need someone to explain it simply. ie:Can I buy 1 module and swap it from plane to plane or do I have to buy 1 for EACH plane(which would suck)? The stuff on the FAA and AMA websites are a bit confusing. Thanks for all you do for this hobby! It means a lot to us that we can tune in to you and learn just about everything we need to know. You and the family have a great weekend!

    If you want a touch more power then fms 3648 870kv Nemesis motor is nearly the same physical size and a straight swap. 195gm 18v max 70amp max 950w max. 70amp predator esc pulling 58amp 850watt at 16.3v on my watt meter. The restriction is the size of the original 5 blade prop. I did this to mine and vertical is pretty impressive. fms 3541 750kv motor rated at 40amp max, 500watt max was in my original FMS Pilatus and that gave me 43amp 650 watt on a full 4s battery.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  11 месяцев назад

      AWESOME! Maybe I'll have to look into this.

    • @paulrkytek6587
      @paulrkytek6587 11 месяцев назад

      I believe you can get the motor from R.C. Castle for about $40. Add a 70amp reversing esc for your drive use . Yes it is 5mm longer than the original motor but you can live with 5mm gap at back of spinner and mounting is same as original motor and you can swap over the prop shaft to take the spinner screw !

    • @c70char

      What makes you say that? I'm leaning toward the pc 21 for the looks and the price as I own an AR620, but I'd love to know why you think the p51 is better. I am worried about the higher wing loading though.

    I’ve been torn between this and the E-Flite T-28 1.2m. I know you like both, and I’d be curious if there are characteristics between the two that you think makes one better. Thanks, and always appreciate the content!

    • @M4rkmcc21

      Get the PC21. It's happy with a broader range of lipos sizes and it's landing gear esp the front is way better. It's shorter and stronger. I was bending my T28 front gear every other landing. The Pilatus has over 100 flights and no problems what so ever with the gear. Plus it's different.. if ur gona get a T28 go for the FMS 1.4m version
