Hello, friend, and welcome to another Sunday Reset here in my home. This Sunday reset is full of cleaning motivation to help get your home reset before the new week. I'm pretty much cleaning all day. There was a hurricane here in Texas this week and on the day hurricane Beryl was coming through our little Texas town, I was just a cleaning. lol Isn't that what you do when a hurricane is coming through? That's all I knew I do, clean and pray. I sure hope this all day clean with me gives you all the motivation you need to get your home reset before the new week.

I live 45 minutes from Matagorda Bay, and we were so fortunate to not have much damage. This was the first time that we were in a direct path of hurricane, and the eye went right over us. We only lost our fence, several branches and some window screens and the contents or our fridge and freezers. Our electricity was restored after 4 days. The linemen were amazing and we are thankful for them! I’m praying we don’t get another hurricane! I really like your dinning room ceiling fan. I have so much cleaning to catch up on, so thanks for the motivation.

I clean my stove top exactly the way you do but never let it dry. I will try that for sure. Pinto beans are always a hit with me no matter what you add to them. May have to try your recipe for cowboy beans. So glad yall had no problems from the storm. God surely covered yall. Our power went off last time about a month ago now..I cleaned all the ceiling fans and told my husband we needed to go get supper cause I was tired. Lol Power just went out, no storm around. Hi robin. I am so glad you all made it through the hurricane. My daughters live in your area and they are fine as well. We got 41/2 inches of rain here in south central Missouri from that storm. I remember when I was a kid, we lived in Houston and we went to my grandmother's house in the Huntsville area to ride out Hurricane Carla. We had a huge pot of beans that we ate on for several days. I guess that is standard fare for riding out storms. I plan to try your recipe when the weather is a little cooler here and my garden is spent. I LOVE your laundry room and my favorite thing is that beautiful hall tree! That thing is beautiful the way you have it decorated. Thank you for sharing.
We were blessed that power was off for only 5 hours and only small limbs down.....Lisa and Jeff in Houston are still without power!!!! But they are safe...no damage to house. It's time to clean our ceiling fans...will do today or tomorrow!!! Thanks for the motivation & cleaning tips!!!

You don't need to get dolled up to clean! You're beautiful no matter what you wear or how much makeup you put on. I wear comfy clothes whenever I'm home. It makes sense. Glad you weathered the hurricane ok.

Deep cleaning for me today. I put it on my calendar for the 15th of each month. I used to hate doing the baseboards. Now I use the mop or a magic eraser to clean them. I can now do them more often and it doesn't get too bad. This was such a great inspiration to keep going today. Thanks Robin! 🤍

I agree with you Robin. When I clean it’s typically early in the day. When my house is clean then I shower and get cleaned up. I watch some of these women and even thought they say they have 3 or 4 kids I never see a toy left out or a pair of shoes on the stairs. It’s like they are cleaning immaculate homes. Hi Robin, I know by now the storm is over and I think you didn’t have too much damage but I hope if you did that it is better. I also hope and pray you have power because have seen where so many people still don’t have power in the hot, hot weather. Great job on cleaning your ceiling fans, they look just great. Your cowboys beans look so delicious and I know they were great with your corn bread. I know how scary hurricanes can be because we were 2 hours from the coast in Alabama when Opal came thru and also Ivan and it was terrible. We had winds in excess of 115mph for at least an 1 or 2. By the way I wish I looked as good as you do cleaning your house. 😊❤😊

Hi Robin, we have cousins in Houston they said they just got a LOT of rain. They had lost power for a few hours. The caddy is a great idea, so useful for many things. Oh Robin I am not wearing makeup or doing my hair to clean my house. I rarely even wear makeup to go to the local store in our little town. 9 times out of 10 I am in athletic clothes too! 😊 🤍 (you know I always watch to the end).

💟Don't know where you are in TX but my bro lives in The Woodlands in an area that's not flood prone. They had over 10" of rain so I'm glad neither you nor he had any flooding. He also didn't have any wind damage other than limbs, leaves, & branches littering the yard & street. I was worried about trees blowing over in your area when you showed us the trees aong your street & how the rain was coming down. So glad you survived Beryl ok.
I have a beans & beef recipe that I've been making since my hubby & I were poor broke married college kids at UT-Austin. I think my recipe has more tomatoes than yours tho. But both are yummy "stick to your ribs" meals especially when its cold or dreary. & the "icing on the cake" is the homemade cornbread. There's nothing like it, especially with a little honey for sweetness, almost like a dessert. Guess we TX gals have similar tastes when it comes to feeding our families.
