Amazing breath and dynamic control. Her registral transitions are so flawless you almost don’t even notice her switches from chest to head. Great emotive ability and phrasing.

As far as I’m concerned 🤭 this song never needs to be sung again. I do not even have words to describe how beautiful this is. Thank you so so much. 👏🏻

Ella Fitzgerald is the best female singer EVER, bar none!!! I'm 69 now, and I have been a fan since my early 20's. Stunning voice, stunning phrasing, stunning diction and control.😁😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Absolutely one of the greatest singers I've ever heard. The great female jazz singers are some of the most joyous to listen to, and Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan are the ones I enjoy the most, although the emotional power of Billie Holiday is right up there too.

Her vibrato is extremely well judged, and the way she holds the long notes is exemplary! … but when she decides to belt it out, it’s PHENOMENAL!

One of the greatest singers singing one of the greatest songs. Probably gonna be good. Shout out to the trio as well. PERFECT feel for her to be hugged in.
Her eyes closed all the time. The Voice judges would fail her...Shows what they know...

Have you Ella singing "Mack the Knife" live from Berlin where she wasn't sure of the words, yet masterfully did it and wound up with a HUGH hit on her hands. Check it out.

One of the most beautiful voices ever. RIP. Angelina Jordan won Norway's Got Talent with this song with the Ella/Louis Armstrong version at 8 years old. She gave another performance at 10 years old with a full orchestra in 2016. Both performances are amazing. You seem to have an affinity to this type of music since I saw your review of What A Wonderful World. You should do more Angelina covers since she is one of very few who cover these beautiful songs and does them with the integrity they deserve. Angelina has jazz in her blood.

Don't know if I would call it beautiful. It appears to me to be different from "beauty". To be honest it transends most English adjectives. Like Floor or Dianna Ankudinova ( and Joni Mitchell and once Janis Joplin). I can accept "beautiful" but SO much more for me.

Angelina Jordan does this cover at 8 yrs old and does it some real justice. Watching this performance lets me know where Angelina got inspired for her performance. Worth a listen for sure.

Most people don’t realize that Angelina Jordan went to school on this performance, if you listen closely to Angelina you can detect the tempo and phrasing that colors her style that comes directly from Ella Fitzgerald, Angelina sings a Billie Holiday or Nina Simone song with overtones of Ella Fitzgerald. She grew up listening to jazz artist being played by her grandmother and it’s refreshing that someone today is bringing back singing this style!
This has to be one of the most masterful singing performances I’ve ever heard!
