Congratulations, great work. You put together this story in an interesting way, it fits perfectly with 16mm. When I watch your film, I feel like I'm traveling in time.
Fantastic footage! Great framing and editing. Looks like one stop over is perfectly fine for the 50D. Will watch this clip again on my PC monitor. Looks super smooth and crisp on my cell phone. Film is pure eye candy.
Looks superb Sergio! You're such a good story teller and your wife is such a cooperative subject. Grande lavoro di squadra! When are you guys coming to Australia???
it’s not a stupid question. LAB develops the film as it is. So if you overexpose 1 stop, the final result will be delivered with 1 stop over-exposed. You can ask the lab to push/pull your film. But today is better to adjust if necessary your exposure in post.
The contrast is too high, if you would have adjusted the contrast and brightness that footage would look sweet! Could use color correction as well.. looks really good but it can look great if you tweak it in post.
Thank you for sharing your opinion about the image; I respect it as it’s based on your personal taste. As for me, I’ve kept the contrast levels at a very healthy range, making my decisions based on my own taste, of course. I monitored the waveforms, ensuring the blacks stayed above 5 nits, using a professionally calibrated reference monitor for Rec.709 with a gamma of 2.2, optimized for viewing on computer screens, phones, and iPads. Contrast perception can vary greatly depending on the medium used to view the video. For example, if you watch it on a TV or a monitor with uncalibrated contrast and brightness settings, the result may look very different. This is precisely why I use a professional reference monitor when performing color grading for my videos.
The LAB delivered to me Prores 4444 Log. I used DaVinci Resolve. I created a first Color Space Transform node in which I transformed the clip from cineon to davinci WG and a final CST node from Davinci WG to rec709 . In the middle of these two nodes I made my color grade .
Dehancer is for sure the most powerful tool these days. It's really awesome to see how the film emulation can be achieved with it. I loved it!
Thank you!!

I'm very pleased to receive a good comment from you, especially since most of what I know about the Krasnogorsk-3 is thanks to your videos.
@@russo-filmmaking that is a kind thing to say. Thank you. I'm very happy to know my videos have been helpful.
I must say that is one of the best 16mm footage I've ever seen. ❤ What is the magic? ))
Thank you do much!!

Thank you!! Australia is one of the countries in our wish list. I hope to visit your country soon!
That's definitely the best K-3 footage I've ever seen...
Thank you!! Appreciate that
Excelente trabajo
gracias!!
Maybe stupid question, but then when you sent it to the lab for development, is was developed at 50ISO right?
