Lemme tell you what your channel has wrong. The term "atheist" doesn't mean "god doesn't exist". "Atheist" is just the opposite of "theist". Theist = I'm convinced that at least one god exists Atheist = not convinced
Is that more... agnostic?? Not be convinced of anything?? Atheist is the belief that there is no god... but agnosticism is middle “unconvinced”... right?
@@dempseytapley9925 Some people use the terms you've laid out, but I think a more simple and logical way is like this. There is a proposal that at least one god exists. Do you accept this proposal? Are you convinced that at least one god exists? If yes, you're theist If no, you're atheist. Anything other than "yes" counts as a "no" here. Meaning you either say yes, or you don't say yes. If you say "I'm not sure" or "maybe" or "we can never know", you're not saying "yes", which means you're not theist. And if you're not in the theist group, you're in the opposite group, aka atheist. Regarding the word "agnostic", it deals more with knowledge than belief. That is, an agnostic doesn't know. An atheist doesn't believe. To answer, I don't believe the claim that a god exists. Therefore I am atheist. I also do not know whether or not a god exists. Therefore I am also agnostic. I am agnostic atheist because I do not know, and I do not believe.
@@dempseytapley9925 people tend to use different definitions but technically if you don't believe in god/s, you're an atheist. If you believe God doesn't exist, you're also an atheist. Theism / atheism = belief / don't believe or believe against Gnosticism / agnosticism = know / don't or can't know

Faith is extremely dangerous and irresponsible. Glad more and more are snapping out of this trance.

"Atheist" is just the opposite of "theist".
Theist = I'm convinced that at least one god exists
Atheist = not convinced
This a true and important distinction.
