- GT24 is a 1998 Sega Saturn port of Jaleco's Model 2 racer Super GT 24h. Like its arcade counterpart, the game features only one track but with a few additional variations, including a medium-length course, mirror mode, and the main attraction, a well-executed "24 hour" endurance race mode. All in all, it's a fairly competent racing game and a worthwhile addition to any Saturn fan's collection.

That soundtrack though... WHO DARES SOMEONE DEFILE THE SATURN SOUNDCHIP!?
Sorry, but this game uses the CD for music, YMF-292 is only used for sound effects.
I never knew that this game existed for the Saturn. A very impressive racer.
wow, 33% of the racers retired in a 10 lap race
Yeah, I think there was a big accident somewhere during the first lap cause the lead car ended up being retired right away. That normally doesn't happen.
I guess some of them got crashed or the fuel gets drained empty.
like formula 1 of old
So, like most Jaleco games, this is really just a "not as good but okay I guess" version of another company's game. Being able to choose your pit crew is kind of innovative, at least. Certainly gives there a bit more replay value in the 24 hour mode.
So cool, wish I knew about this when it released.
The game's graphics looks like from the first Sega Rally game ported on the same console.
I remember this game looking much better in real life. But its over a decade since I last played. I always liked the old Alfa step nose.
It certainly can't hold a candle to the arcade game, but it's still plays okay in its own way.
Is there a way to hear the soundtrack alone?
that camera looks super strange
It tends to clip through the walls during some of the tighter turns, but it's nothing that ruins the game.
+Saturnology I looks like the game isn't full 3D with that camera...
Reminds me Tokyo Highway Battle.
And both were published by Jaleco!
dunno why, but i never liked it...
anyway thx for the video! thumbs up! ^_^
Maybe it's just me but this game looks pretty sloppy for 1998. Earlier Saturn drivers look better.
sluten anstalt It definitely is, and it's what you'd expect from Jaleco, but I still find it to be pretty fun. The Model 2 game from which this was ported is similarly flawed, but is still a ton of fun because of the totally unrealistic powersliding mechanic.
you are right, it will be descent in 1994 but not for a 98 game ....
Mmmmm, I don't appreciate the camera work on this game.
not as bas as it look like, but there a lot of better racing games in Saturn's games library.
Developers did a horrible job. Graphics are so bad even the 32x can port this game.
Draw distance is too short. Not very optimized.
It's newer than Gran Turismo but looks 10x worse.... :(
