The point in what she was saying was that the bias comes more from the parent than from the child. So parents are free to bring their children wherever they choose. There are a lot of “normal” deemed things kids r exposed to everyday that can be borderline traumatic but nobody cares unless they can turn it into a political issue.

I had this debate about transgenderism and abortion with my coworker. She even told me she couldn't dispute the facts, even after accusing me if being a Trumper and taking talking points from Breitbart. She concluded it was okay to censor my speech to address a person with gender dysphoria as they wish me to, and it's okay for women to decide the life of a baby on a whim.

In middle school, it was embarrassing enough for us girls to change into our gym clothes in front of each other. We all wore extra clothes underneath like tank tops and shorts underneath our regular clothes. The taking off of shirts and pants itself was embarrassing. 😓🥴

Either way, there will be people who are uncomfortable. I assume the more conservative solution would be to only let people use bathrooms of their birth sex. In that case, there will be a lot of uncomfortable guys around naked trans women who look like women, have breasts, and are pretty much indistinguishable from women. You will also have trans men going into womens bathrooms, who look like men and are probably attracted to women.

No, this is such a stupid issue. Bathrooms and changing rooms can be re-designed (if privacy and safety is the issue) so everyone can have privacy and safety. They can also be unisex. There is no reason why they need to be divided into ones for male and female (or however else people may choose to box themselves off). It should have nothing to do with sexuality, gender, how people choose present themselves, or the genitalia that people might happen to have or not have inside their pants (which is profoundly private, and if you obsess about that, YOU are gross).
You are making this an issue of sexuality and gender when it doesn't need to be.

@Chad Langlois I think each person who identifies as trans or have gender dysphoria has their own needs that need met. In my case, I feel I'd be happier if I fully transition, but it won't kill me if I don't. For others, just looking in the mirror could cause them a lot of grief and they need to transition in order to live their full lives. The only way I can think to describe it to someone who doesn't experience it, is it's like acne. Some people have really bad acne, others don't. Some people feel the need to cover their acne, others don't. Some people's acne gives them really low self-esteem, other people are ok with it.
Now, there are some cases where transitioning doesn't help with dysphoria, but that doesn't mean it's like that for everyone who transitions. There's just some who can't ever be happy with themselves

If you all of a sudden sprouted these horrible, disgusting growths from your chest, you'd probably be happier without them too. And while there may not be much research supporting what you believe on the issue, there is lots, and lots of research that supports people who identify as transgender. Having dysphoria is an illness, being trans is not.

True, so, as a man, it would be pretty uncomfortable to suddenly grow breasts. That's all I'm saying. Having female anatomy makes me really uncomfortable, and the sooner I can change that the better for me. I'm not saying everyone should do that, it's just my own preference.
And it's also true that trans people have dysphoria, but not everyone with dysphoria is trans. That's like saying all crows are black, and every black bird is a crow. Having dysphoria is just having a part of your body that makes you uncomfortable, anyone can have it.

As a woman and mother to a 12 year old daughter, friend to many male and female transgender individuals, and someone with experience working with sex offenders, I support the right for trans people to use the bathroom that correlates to the gender with which they identify. I am not afraid that allowing this will create an influx of MALE sex offenders entering the WOMEN'S restroom, and I find it rediculous that sexual assault in the restroom was not a topic of discussion until it was used as a reason that we should not allow transgender women into the women's restroom.

In many cases, they have been offered their own facilities, but many of them refuse, and want to be in women's restrooms, even though they are intact heterosexual males. I am all for adding a unisex single stall bathroom in public places. A lot of places have them so fathers can take their daughters to the bathroom without having to take them into the mens room. With a single stall unisex bathroom, trans people are kept safe and it protects the privacy of other people and keeps sex offenders out of the women's restroom. The problem is, that isn't deemed "good enough" for them. There is no compromising.

Alasquare because in order to be biologically a woman you must be part of the sex which conceives and brings forth young. In other words, has or has had (in the case of hysterectomies) ovaries that produce egg cells. Genetically, the female chromosomes are two x chromosomes while the male has an x and a y chromosome. So yeah... that's how they are not biologically a female.
Also, I've never met a trans woman who says they are biologically a female, a "trans woman" is usually the term.

weallbfree No. It's the majority of people here who don't agree with a man being in the restroom when their daughter is in there period. This isn't about trying to single out transgenders right's, this is about keeping our children save from monsters who would take advantage of the opportunity and as a father I don't agree with grown men going into a restroom with young girl's unless it is to assist your daughter if need be.

This is a pointless debate, it’s like putting out a fire with wood and gasoline. In my travels I’ve noticed that these problems only exist in privileged western nations. We have greater issues facing the world at the moment.
That's because the art of deception has been honed to a sharp edge in those countries. It's a blunt instrument everywhere else, but in the West it's a surgical scalpel. The elites cut down the entire population and no one felt a thing.

@@PeachDragon_ that is patently false. Trans people, or people of a "third sex" have existed in a variety of different cultures throughout history, not just in our present day and only in the west. There have often been religious roles for these kinds of people in history, and they are referenced in countless religions, even going back to ancient Egypt, and ancient Mesopotamia.
That’s why this is so stupid. People would rather stop other people from loving their lives in peace or even using the bathroom than focus on issues destroying the planet and their society.
