I don't understand how anyone can watch WWE and not see a big difference in creative. With Vince, we were getting the exact same matches over and over for months on end. Now, could H do better, sure but it's night and day difference between H and Vince.
How many times did we have Chad Gable vs Gunther? Better yet how many times has Seth Rollins defeated Drew McIntyre? Better yet how many times did Rhea Ripley face Raquel Rodriguez and Nia Jax between mid 2023 and now?

Regardless of the reasoning, seeing the same match over and over again has happened under the HHH just as much. Sam and KO literally had matches with the Judgment Day every week from April to War Games in Nov.. that’s 7 MONTHS!!! Cody and Brock feuded for 6months… Seth and Drew wrestled several times, so did Gunther and Gable, so did Seth and Nakamura… It’s better under HHH but not as much as people are trying to hype it up to be
U do know he married into the family. It's the same product just now under triple h. To prove the point more. We gave a tag team match as a day one wrestle mania. Same thing from last year. The difference is triple h boy is in there. Seth Rollins. Same product just a different day.

Whoever's hot take was the thumbnail title, I'm sorry go back and watch 2018 to part of 2019 and count the amount of impromptu matches that became tag matches out of the blue because of an interference happened that hasn't happened once under his creative.

I think the big difference between Triple H’s WWE and Vince’s WWE is that Triple H will give people time and space to make things work. If they dont, he doesnt lose full confidence or toss them away super fast but pivots them to something else to try again. It never feels someone screws up once or has one bad outing and is done. He also follows through with what he sets up.

I have said this, Vince should give people some creative freedom, then wherever it goes then you he gives his input if it needs a tweak or doesn't resonate and if its good keep it till it gets stale or stops getting the reaction it got

@@nu-metalfan2654 Kross is still featured on TV now? Ultimately, not everyone can be a main eventer sadly. Triple H has a bigger roster and a bigger sandbox now with no “expiration date” on talent. There is no natuarl changing of the guard anymore like there used to be in NXT Black & Gold cause he is booking the main destination now. People will naturally fit in the card where he has space with the big dogs not going away.

Still some glaring issues. They seem to miss pulling the trigger at the right time pretty much every time because of a commitment to their longterm story. There needs to be more flexibility. For all Vince's flaws he would've pivoted to LA Knight last year from Damian Priest for getting that hot. I know Vince didn't see anything in Knight I'm just talking about how he would pivot for the sake of moments instead of their longterm plans. Most times a negative, but some times a huge positive

I feel like Forbidden Door is always a missed opportunity. We never get the Trios champs vs the Never Openweight 6 man chanpions. AEW is full of what would be considered jr heavyweight tag teams and single competitors to compete for njpw titles. How have we still not had Takahashi vs Darby?

I’m impressed with how Trips’ creative pays close attention to fans on social media and appears to adjust storylines based on fan sentiments (Cody/Rock, Liv/Becky).
Beyond that, WWE probably has its biggest female star ever with Rhea under Trips creative.
Then, the wrestlers obviously get more freedoms to speak online and those tweets all play into storylines.

I think an argument can be made that the creative hasn't greatly improved, it's just more consistent; i.e. Triple H doesn't forget the direction he's going or rerun the same things over and over.

80s and 90s Vince is the peak of creative genius. Once we hit the 2000s he got old and slowly lost his touch and stopped caring.
For Fans of the 90s and early 00s it seems He lost touch around 2008 with PG Change.
For more Ypunger Fans that started watching in the 2010s He lost Touch around 2018. I would agree until 2019 Hes creative was good enough. I would have made triple H executive Director of Raw and Smackdown on 2018 or 2019 and have Vince just making small changes like he did in 2023 when he got involved on creative.Most People would have been happy with the Change. What if at Forbidden Door, AEW does a one night, king of the ring style tournament? Have entrants from the different promotions. If CMLL has beef with the AAA guys, what about New Japan? Or RevPro, which probably wouldn't be hard for AEW to work with and could help round out the Wembley show.
😂I had the General Lee power cycle AND the pedal car. Little Black Kid, riding around the block with the Dixie Flag. 😅My dad _HATED_ it, but I thought he just didn't like the show at the time. Still, as his baby boy, he made sure I got the birthday and Christmas gifts I wanted.
Give us BCC vs House of Torture in like an Anarchy in the Arena or Blood & Guts Match. Id pay big bucks for that. Plus they still have Tanahashi, Naito, Sanada, Finlay, Takagi, Takahashi, ZSJ, Nemeth. Lets get a Catch 2/2 vs FTR or ELP and Hikuleo vs The Young Bucks. Or Bullet Club War Dogs vs. Bullet Club Gold. Theres still a ton of juice for more Forbidden Doors. And the young talent in NJPW are looking killer. Gabe Kidd and Callum Newman in particular are fantastic. I honestly wish they'd do more integration. I know we had Orange Cassidy join Chaos a while back but I'd love for more guys to join NJPW factions and run an AEW contingent of said fsction, like what they did in TNA where Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Gallows and Anderson were in TNA representing Bullet Club.
Those takes are sizzling but WWE seems to make more sense than it has in the past. Regardless, the rising numbers are great for wrestling, whatever the reason for them is 🙌🏼

Becky lynch is a 1 dimensional character and has nothing other in her repertoire than “The Man” gimmick. It’s run its course and it’s not even original because flair was the man originally.
She became a super over face, then had a heel turn, then became face again. At that point the character has really run its course and needs a refresher
Jaylen Grant isn't wrong! It's not better it just looks better. Braun Strowman didn't do anything before injury, Karrion Kross came back last year and it wasn't until literally the first week of 2024 that he was given "depth", The Vikings Raiders pre Erik injury were still jobbers, NXT isn't apart of the main roster but they always crossover with the main roster, Odyssey Jones has not been seen on TV in any capacity since being drafted from NXT to Raw, Von Wagners push was cancelled, the women's tag titles still don't mean anything, and DIY are jobbers.
Also CM Punk or Bray Wyatt should have ended The Undertaker's streak because Brock Lesnar didn't make sense. Yes he's a freak athlete that came back from the UFC but he was 3-2 going into that match with Undertaker when he should have been 5-0 or 4-0 because he didn't need to face Triple H 3 times, they could and should have fought once with Brock Lesnar winning and then at WrestleMania 29 have him beat Mark Henry.
I don't watch CMLL, but I don't mind them appearing on AEW. Give me another Hechicero match anytime. Didn't know who the guy was, but he held his own against Bryan Danielson in a fantastic match. I get, that they shouldn't overdo this stuff with unknown wrestlers, but they'll only get known to us, if we can see them wrestle.

Here's my #hottake: current WWE theme songs are not bad at all. Surely we have less of those cases where an existing band/artist performs a theme song but there are still cases in recent history (Rhea Ripley, Aleister Black, Big E, Bray Wyatt's last theme, The Fiend, etc). The internet discussion after the Royal Rumble about theme songs being generic is more on the fans than on the product, as I'm sure most people saying that don't follow the product as they used to and the average attention spam of people nowadays sucks ass. Also people just seem to ignore Jim Johnston also made HUNDREDS of bad theme songs as well, as they only remember the ones we all know and love
Anything besides The World Title scene (Mens and Womens) and Gunther isn’t remotely interesting to me, but that’s just my taste in wrestling

The major difference in the two booking Styles between these two men is that one actually plans and believes in continuity, believes in a story being told while the other did whatever popped him on that particular day. To heck with continuity to heck with the storyline he would discontinue disrupt and ruin every good story that came out of the WWE. There is a distinct difference and improvement.
I don't think I could handle a 30 minute Bloodline promo every week so I prefer Roman only showing up once or twice per month

#Hot take: Athleticism is not as impressive these days as ring psychology is. Don't just do a ton of moves, get up and take a bunch of moves, etc. Promos to hype up a match aren't a story either. The story in the ring is far more valuable than the ones outside of the matches.

I don't think creative really is that much better. It's better structured, but everything that people cheer the loudest for right now started during Vinces tenure, it wasn't anything HHH created yet. Like The bloodline, Cody, Dominik, Judgement Day, all these ideas are things that get the loudest reaction that started under Vince. HHH has really just brought the people who got fired back and new guys…but they're not over to the degree of what Vince introduced yet.

Literally anybody besides maybe Triple H or Shawn Michaels would have been a better choice for beating the streak. Brock Lesnar was a beast, when he came on the scene in 2002, was a UFC Champion in 2008, had won KOTR in 2002, Royal Rumble in 2003 and the World Championship 3 or 4 times before breaking the streak. Does this sound like a guy, that needed the push in 2014? Imagine any young athlete breaking the streak, it would have been like strapping a rocket on his back. Instead they gave it to on-and-off-again-Brock.

I think so far when it comes to creative and bringing back Naomi and Reed, they have stories they want to get out of the way first to get them more involved later. Naomi wouldn't have come back if she didn't feel she wouldn't be used better.
Naomi only came back because of her husband Jimmy Uso (just like Andrade only came back because of his wife Charlotte Flair). She had a good run in TNA. There were no other reasons to return so soon.

I suppose the argument can be that WWE lost a good deal of talent to AEW,TNA,NJPW and indies.
As for new names for WWE, its only CM Punk, Jade, william Regals son(i think) and Lexis King and whoever got signed to the PC since Vince stepped down with Trips in control of creative and such since 2022.
Despite what The Rock says, wrestling is usually still really embarrassing to watch around others.
