@@LabzAli You're gonna love this these then .. I can't post the links but you can find them easily on YT ... Poking fun at the absurdity of Apollo.. These two recent commercials show how easy it is to fake being on the Moon.. 'E*TRADE Commercial - Astronaut'.... ' Xfinity 2023 Super Bowl Commercial ' ...I have no idea what the budget was to make these commercials, but it wasn't the 7.8 billion dollars that NASA spent on the Apollo Simulation Program, which was passed off as being real missions.
There WAS a real Apollo 18 mission. It was launched July 15th, 1975 and was an earth-orbital flight on which Tom Stafford, Deke Slayton, and Vance Brand docked with a Russian Soyuz vehicle in the first international manned space flight.
yes, and i know that from a postage stemp. Only few people know about that from all of my friends. Thats hillarious thing. Apollo 18 Was a mission goal to connect with soyuz on earth orbit. :D
@MrRaghead69 Aldrin and Armstrong were on Apollo 12 not 17. I remember because I saw the movie Apollo 13 which was the voyage after. I think at least one of them is still alive and he seems healthy to me.
whoever the hell directed this is genius. the plot is so original, imagine being stuck on the moon with some weird man eating creatue holy sh*t u couldnt escape =.=
You know what would be great, if half way through the movie Chell just popped out of a portal holding onto Weatly. I would watch this movie hundreds of times if that is in it
Toll!
I'm thinking.... "Blair Moon Project" It's the Lunar version of "Paranormal" Or what was that over-hyped one with the monster you never see? Running with a Sony Handi-Cam? Cloverfield? At least, that's the impression I'm getting from the preview. Hope I'm wrong, because I love the premis: "There's a reason we never went back..."
Awww, I thought this was gonna be about the They Might Be Giants album. ;) Seriously though, this should be a lesson to hollywood producers, churning out remake after remake, that there are still new ideas out there. Such a simple idea for a story that it's been staring us in the face since the 60's, yet nobody came up with it until now.
It's like a watered down version of the Outer Limits episode Tempests. The one where these futuristic astronauts land on an unknown moon and these spiders attack them. Those spiders' bites can make them hallucinate. The movie should have been like that.
i think its funny when he just says " THERES SOMETHING INSIDE MY SUIT!" lol made me laugh, and then the fart and him falling in a hole. i think i might just see this for a laugh and entertainment, than not being able to fall asleep at night. hell i might Robo trip and watch it.
@Wingnutjojo its not a bullet hole. If you look at it paused you can tell. If a bullet hit it,the CCCP helments glass would have been pretty much gone. That looks like it was smashed open or cracked open
@foxet1st I'm talking about the description not what it says. What I'm saying is that it's the people who made the description and uploaded the video who should be blamed, not the Studio OR Hollywood. Oh and Google too, it's mostly people posting "facts".
If you time it right, and pause at about 1:03 when it says, "What you were never meant to see" there are some weird symbols. Does anybody know what those mean? Thumbs up.
if you wanna see a good horror, type in The Harrison House Trailer. Film was shot for 600 bucks, and it was the freakiest indie horror I've seen in a Looong time
so this is now the 4th movie ever made with a POV camera concept. 1st was The Blair Witch Parject, 2nd was Cloverfield, 3rd was Quarentine and now the 4th being Apollo 18. and notice how there all horror movies and nothing else.
@randomandproudqueen ive herd something about spiders? sounds weird and by the look of this trailer it looks like it hides in rocks or something like that
It's a goddamn movie, it's fiction. Paranormal Activity is presented like it was real, but it's a work of fiction that tells a story, just like this movie is.
Alright I know Apollo 18 was cancelled a little bit before the launch , and im really curious about if this is real . I know that it seems fake and all but if anyone can explain this or anything TELL ME , thanks
@TrippinTheCentury Dude, its all part of the promotion. Is a classic thing to do before the release of a horror film, especially those using the "found footage" genre. All the promotional mateiral pays it out to look like it all really happened. For example, before the release of Ghost Ship in 2002 the studio put out a poster giving info about a vacation on a luxury liner named the Antonia Graza, the haunted ship in the film. Its all for fun, not serious.
@MrSpacemonkeymojo I think the reason a lot of people are saying this movie is going to suck is, because so many hyped movies over the past 5 years have really sucked. Sure there were a few good ones like 300, Inception and Avatar was ok (I didn't think it was amazing) but most movies out lately really seem to suck that Im not sure if they are worth even seeing.
That moment where the astronaut was pulled backwards would have been scary, if it wasn't for the fact that the sound effect was basically a giant fart...
It's good to see that some of the old Apollo moonsets have been put to good use.
I was thinking the same thing. Recycling everything is the key to our survival

i love how aliens always have synths in modern movies... they shold make a band
Edge of the seat suspense. A real sense of horror, especially the last line about the missing moon rocks.
1:30 THANKS FOR GIVING AWAY THE ENDING, TRAILER. THANKS VERY MUCH!
Gravity Warp sound at the end - most badass thing I've heard used. It literally almost got me to jump out of my seat.

My friends and I watched this, and went again, but we brought some grey rocks with us and hid them in the theater!
whoever the hell directed this is genius. the plot is so original, imagine being stuck on the moon with some weird man eating creatue holy sh*t u couldnt escape =.=
@havensnathan the fact that they're on the moon makes it a thousand times scarier.
If we never went back after that, then how did they "recover" all that footage the astronauts shot while on the moon?
Just a thought.
You know what would be great, if half way through the movie Chell just popped out of a portal holding onto Weatly. I would watch this movie hundreds of times if that is in it

"Oh it looks good!"
This is actually interesting.
even tho this isn't real i gotta give you props cause this is a sweet trailer and would be a cool movie to see someday
every single time a trailer for dark of the moon starts i think its an apollo 18 trailer
Sequel Please!
Awww, I thought this was gonna be about the They Might Be Giants album. ;)

1:28
Aliens:
Invader zim: NO! MY ROBOT BEE!
robot bee: *flies to the moon and farts as loud as it can*
astronaut: HOLY - *flies into space*
This movie is basically the first 10 minutes of Transformers 3...in real life.
Looks promising.
This movie is going 2 be bad ass :)
@BlueBig22 you are awesome!
@JRhalo14 lounched or lounches?
looks awesome can't wait!!!!
This is a good video foreal.''Apollo 18''.
i think its funny when he just says " THERES SOMETHING INSIDE MY SUIT!" lol made me laugh, and then the fart and him falling in a hole. i think i might just see this for a laugh and entertainment, than not being able to fall asleep at night. hell i might Robo trip and watch it.
1:28 Guy is floating *FART* falls into crater LOLWTF
I personally think there isn't aliens but I believe that there was a secret mission called apollo 18
Well, this trailer looks completely different from the first trailer that got released.
I've always wondered why we never went back... and how this "classified info" is being MADE PUBLIC.
Looks fun.
@Wingnutjojo
its not a bullet hole. If you look at it paused you can tell. If a bullet hit it,the CCCP helments glass would have been pretty much gone. That looks like it was smashed open or cracked open
X-Files Theme song kicks in at the end of the trailer! LOL!
great movie! :)
Paranormal Activity 4: Apollo 18
Toy Story Origins: Buzz Lightyear
Hahahaha
@TheBadShaman ever think that they modified the trailer so it's HD? plus it's not all HD

was that a black hole at the end of the trailer
cool! I'll have to watch this ;)
@GermenWarfare So you 2 examples where 3min of discussion in T3 and a video game map?
It would be awesome if this were some how a xenomorph movie
What was that in "discover"? A secret message?
@elboleta99 Where? I didn't see that pary anywhere in the transformers 3 trailer
Actually, Apollo 17 was launched on December 7, 1972.
Im taking my mom to see this for her birthday! Her Birthday is The First.
@DanFProductions good point
so this is now the 4th movie ever made with a POV camera concept. 1st was The Blair Witch Parject, 2nd was Cloverfield, 3rd was Quarentine and now the 4th being Apollo 18. and notice how there all horror movies and nothing else.
great concept for a horror flick :)
seems like a movie that ill never gonna see
@xJuiCeMaNx24 no, if you think of it how is it possible to keep a space launch a secret
@YouGotSkedGaming: Maybe the cameras within the pod were transmitting back to Earth? It's still fake though.
is this late or something? says it was meant to be out on 9th of february!
@jrhalo and how do you know that
@ShaniiaHernandez i know!!! it wasn't as scary as much as you don't know when it's gonna happen.
Only so many Sat V rockets made, all unused accounted for. Wait, maybe they made an extra one that wasn't in the records...
@randomandproudqueen ive herd something about spiders? sounds weird and by the look of this trailer it looks like it hides in rocks or something like that
@ProjectLumen what if your wrong?......
@KingGhidorah3000 it says the 17th in the description
"That's just one small step for a Man, but one giant AGRAHHHHHHHHH....."
They should do a movie on Apollo 1.
@Shadowfan523 its just a story device
if the camera fell into the hole how did they retrieve it?and since its 1972 didnt they have really shitty cameras?
@MrButtbanger is that supposed to mean that its false or true
does any1 no the symbols in the text yet its kinda weird im seeing 2morrow
@Billkwando 70's really.
It's a goddamn movie, it's fiction. Paranormal Activity is presented like it was real, but it's a work of fiction that tells a story, just like this movie is.

We never went back because we were never there to begin with.
i knew we weren't alone and NASA wow
@RoboDarkKnight009 Or maybe... it was all filmed in Vancouver.
They have a really nice camera to be from 1974.
@KingGhidorah3000 The description says 17th...genius..
@TheBadShaman Didnt look very hd to me.
yeah it really happened
@MrSpacemonkeymojo I think the reason a lot of people are saying this movie is going to suck is, because so many hyped movies over the past 5 years have really sucked. If you have ever seen a launch from the Cape, you will know it is not possible to keep a launch secret.
Paranormal Activity...IN SPAAAAAACE!
It's just the Mare in the moon, you can handle it.
@GermenWarfare Not to mention the end of Portal 2 and Luna in Mlp Fim.
I think there are a lot of secrets that the moon holds.
@JRhalo14 This is Apollo 18.
I only watched this because im obsessed with greek mythology and Apollo is the god of the sun :P
Wait, but if that's all real footage, then how did the tapes get back to earth?
So I guess Eirin isn't going to help them?
pause at 1:03...the letters turn into symbols, wonder if that means anything
@44ramman How is that possible, all it takes to create civilazition which was recently found on the moon and any planet can hold life
@gangsta647 i agree, i always knew we weren't alone
Great. just what we needed...Paranormal Activity on the moon.
That moment where the astronaut was pulled backwards would have been scary, if it wasn't for the fact that the sound effect was basically a giant fart...
BUZZ LIGHTYEAR TO THE RESCUE!
