Nice work guys!! With training like that you will be a force to be reconed with for sure. What kind of feders (blunts, practice swords ect.) are those? They look to be very high quality and have a very nice amount of flex.
We attend various events all across Europe, like Swordfish, Hema Celje, Tyrnhaw, Dreynevent, Fightcamp usually leading a workshop or two. We do train almost all fencing styles there are:)
Hi Salvador! Thx for kind words;) Most of the music in this video comes from the soundtrack of the Clockwork Orange movie, like the Thieving Magpie etc
Super video. Really liked it and will watch it many times. Very interesting that you have so much Ringen-training. Loved the fact that you had the Battlestar Galactica music in the intro. So good that you show the fun part of fencing. BTW I got the subs to work at once. Thanks for sharing. /Robert
Wau! Videjko je tu už dlouho, jak koukám, ale narazil jsem na něj až teď... Super! Na takovýhle poklady se tu narazí málokdy... Neplánujete ještě natáčet nějaký další videjka?
Great video... It has just inspired me to pick up my sword and go training :) Hope you come to Slovenia again in the future, so we can train and have a good time. And keep making awsome videos :)
@millijava thanks a lot! we use swords from several craftsmen, those depicted in the Pictus video are from Pavel Moc (swords.cz). they are safe for casual practice and nice to handle
What's the name of the track that starts at 2:10? Also, beautiful video. I'm a HEMA fencer here in Maine, U.S.A., and I really appreciate how you've shown our martial art and lifestyle!
@marozzo thank you very much for pleasant words! at the time we`re making preparations for another short documentary covering fabris and rapier fighting in general. all the best to sweden!
That was a truly inspirational video! Out of curiosity, what are some of the manuals that you guys are studying? I think I saw Joachim Meyer (and you guys mentioned Paulus Kal) but I'm kind of curious about the rest. Greetings from Australia.
@Kuhfs4ever thank you really much! there are three of us (including myself) coming to swordfish this year. I`m also going to lead 2 workshops, the content is available at the ghfs site, at the bottom. looking forward meeting you there! cheers;) m
@taffy1975 hi, you need to turn them on on the very right corner of the player window, an "up-pointing triangle" next to fullscreen mode. it`s kind of a new plugin in YT, maybe it`s not working appropriately. works good on my ggl chrome
@VoltaireHellz Try to contact "Schola Staint George", "Davenriche European Martial Artes School (DEMAS)" or "Meisterhau Academy of European Combat". They are all in the San Francisco area. I also think that "Schola san Marco" may have a group in San Francisco but I couldn't find any info about it on their webpage.
nice video it does expalin what hema is about but I didn't se any ringen am schwert apart from that it was perfect (does any1 of u come to swordfish i would like to see it live u are really good)
Great stuff!! *** HOW TO GET SUBTITLES *** click the Arrow in the upper right hand corner of the video and open a new player. The new player has an extra Icon in the lower right that looks like a Triangle. Roll your mouse over it, then roll over CC and click it. Then roll you mouse to left just a bit and make sure that English is selected.
Admittedly I've only just started the English stuff myself. Who knows, maybe by next fight camp I'll be able to show you guys some stuff! Gutted I missed it this year.
@maeljin hi. sry for the inconvenience. my gf told me it ran for her when she popped up the player. there are some bugs indeed with the "new" yt player. in case it won`t further function, I can send you the subs/translation via email.
awesome video guys, you really convey the passion for these arts, I watch it often just for the atmosphere. cheers from sweden
Excellent !
from France
Veľmi si cením že sa venujete práve týmto umeniam. Je to naše spoločné dedičstvo, aj keď mňa si získal japonský meč
You guys were this advanced 14 years ago... amazing!
Joy, first and last the deepest teacher.
Great stuff!
oh right, awesome to see the revival all over europe. do you guys ever do workshops or cross train other styles of fencing?

@Krigerskole Hi. I`ve tested both on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and it works fine. Have you got the "cc" button highlighted in red?
Super video. Really liked it and will watch it many times. Very interesting that you have so much Ringen-training. Loved the fact that you had the Battlestar Galactica music in the intro. So good that you show the fun part of fencing.

It's so inspiring!! But there is no historical fencing group in my country. Greetings from Taiwan!
Please, give me the Paulus poem lyrics in your language! I love it
Not really. The early sources are quite cryptic IMO and just briefly read through Silver.
Wow... ste fakt dobry :) respect.
