Not bored at all. I just bought a DD-7, which I believe has the same transport, and I’ll be using this video as a guide for servicing it. Please don’t change a thing.

I'm one of those who appreciate you showing the whole process. It's not boring it's instructive. Don't cut it please. If one gets bored he can ff. I think the black leverage around 49.00 on should be poured with grease, maybe the one with Litium

I have the KD D50. I think it's probably a couple years older? Got it at a yard sale for ten bucks years ago. Works great.

This model was one of mine dream decks from 80' ties. Interestingly only one capstan.

I have seen a few of these where the B.E.S.T. computer system is out of calibration and apparently only JVC technicians had the calibration units needed to correct B.E.S.T. when it goes way off from calibration. Do you have one of these JVC Service Tech B.E.S.T. Calibration units? I looked all over the Internet and could not find one anywhere.

Hello! I have such a cassette deck, now playback does not work - the capstan has stopped rotating. Can you suggest what could be the problem?

They made it a nightmare to take apart the mechanism and cable spaghetti everywhere. Akai did the same. I avoid retro decks because of this reason. Would be amazing if digital was invented back then, to allow for a one wire communication from deck CPU to transport CPU. Only heads should have separate wires.

@@maxfactor4209 That is for sure. Also i cringe at the back tension method, friction at the erase head via pinching of the tapez
