शूलिनी माता का इतिहास बघाट रियासत से जुड़ा है. माता शूलिनी को बघाट रियासत के राजाओं की कुलदेवी देवी माना जाता है. माता शूलिनी का मंदिर सोलन शहर के शीली मार्ग पर स्थित है. शहर की अधिष्ठात्री देवी शूलिनी माता के नाम से ही शहर का नाम सोलन पड़ा, जो देश की स्वतंत्रता से पूर्व बघाट रियासत की राजधानी के रूप में जाना जाता था. माना जाता है कि बघाट रियासत के शासकों ने यहां आने के साथ ही अपनी कुलदेवी शूलिनी माता की स्थापना सोलन गांव में की और इसे रियासत की राजधानी बनाया.🌺🌺
