Have seen many female artist try to conquer this song. Streisand her self, cannot hit every note live , to save her life. Ereni , Not only hits every note , But does it flawlessly and effortlessly. Truly amazing vocals. My jaw dropped . Back up vocals are perfect. Why is she not famous?
@@hello_gorgeous_ The problem is, there’s a reason she never did it live. Because she can’t hit the note. And when she does it live, That’s usually a half assed attempt! Sounds nothing like the original record. Close, but kind of a lazy version. The studio version, has many takes behind it . Ereni Savesti not only hits every note, But does it better than the studio version ,Live !
Just come across this in 2023. Never heard it before. What a joy ! Amazing live performance. Crisp, clear and dynamic. Very few artists have this much talent. Thank God for RUclips. Keep these gems coming.
This woman’s got PIPES! Wow! ⭐️💙 exceptional live vocal performance, and the band and back up singers are lovin it, too! Sweet music! Happy New Year, 2024!
Great voice… Barbra would be proud. Laura would be proud. Best of all your talent… hearing you just nail this song made me have a better day and for that I thank you!❤️💛💚
I grew up listening to Streisand's version and I've heard Nyro's original recordings, but I have to say that YOU, my dear, have floored me with your rendition. Perfection........I'm now smitten!
Curious ..... Wondering WHY Barbra Streisand is mentioned in title? Personally, I really think that the female singer's name should be listed on title..... fantastic singer! ♥️ Barbra, like others, just covers this song. Laura Nyro wrote this fabulous song. Sadly, Laura passed away more than 20 years ago. (Laura has written MANY songs that other's took to big hits, etc.) 🎵
Originally written and sung by the great Laura Nyro. Covers include Peggy Lipton, The Stone Ponies with a young Linda Ronstadt, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross and Sara Bareilles at Ms. Nyro’s posthumous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. This cover is very impressive and kudos to anyone who can pull off an admirable cover of any Laura Nyro song.
Great song I remember when it was on the radio when it came out it got a lot of radio play. I never pictured anybody doing a rendition of that song because of its up-tempo and crowding all those lyrics like Barbra Streisand did. But you've nailed it sounded great!
Not Barbra Streisand... But a more-than-worthy rendition with a signature all her own. On the flip-side, it made me miss Laura Nyro all the more. Our paths crossed more than once in the 70s. Check out her rendition (1966) recording). She was 19 years-old in '66. Damn... Beautiful voice. Beautiful person who knew how to live it, as herself, despite trial, tribulation and inevitable tears.
I see comments that Barbra herself couldn't have hit these notes live and remember my band doing it when she released it. Thing is we had a male singer (still a good friend) who easily nailed it note for note in the original key night after night - fantastic voice. I so wish I had recordings of that band but it wasn't so easy to do back then.
This is so good , I would have been tempted for leave right after as there was no way I was going to hear a better, or more moving performance for the rest of the evening.
I actually went back to see if they traded off some of the higher notes to somebody else, but no. It was the same woman doing all the parts! When do you get to hear that?
Such a talented woman. RIP Laura.
Laura and Barbra should have sung this together.
One of my favourite songs!
RIP dear Laura.

Streisand never sang this song live in the seventies so we can't know for sure if Barbra could have sung all these notes live.
@@hello_gorgeous_ who is Ereni
@@hello_gorgeous_ You are responding to a fanboy/girl.
@@hello_gorgeous_ hi Barbara did not do this song originally but every once in awhile she sings these and nails it

Wow those back singers need to make an album❤
Great! Ereni’s ❤ got some powerful pipes! Exciting performance of a great song!
WOW!!!! THAT was absolutely stunning...such an incredibly beautiful amazingly strong voice!!!! ❤❤❤❤
This band was Goooood and the girls and lead singers are amazing~ I am impressed. One of my fav songs growing up as a kid in 1971
Laura's version rules!
barbra streisands too

I agree! Great performance!
Actually Laura Nyro released this song first in 1967, she also wrote this song. Streisand released it in 1971.
Love this singer, and love the background singers as well...love talented women in general...
Seriously, this is amazing...and live??? Wow. Blew it out of the water!! You are AWESOME!!!❤❤❤❤❤

wow, she killed it
Brilliant live performance of this wonderful song.
Sara Bareilles did this in a tribute to Laura a few years ago
That was one of the best I have heard by Sara~ This one was more like Barbaras and well done.
Nailed it! Well done...
This was an impressive rendition for a difficult song considering who has sung it previously. Really well done

Wow! Great set of pipes! Awesome song! 👍🏻👏🏻
Oh wow!!! This was absolutely nailed on- superb!
Really, really enjoyed that! Loved it!!
No losers in this lounge! What can u say except, great job! You are an awesome singer and a great ensemble behind you.

Absolutely Beautiful, ❤👍😎🎹
nailed all of it...why she is not famous is baffling......
meanwhile this is a Laura Nyro song, not a Babs song.

This singer did a great job. Barbra Streisand sings it too fast and she makes it sound like a pop song. Laura Nyro’s voice was soulful.

Bravo 🎉 This is just Amazing !!!!!!!!
Excellent Cover. Well done.
WOW,,I think that's the best performnace of this song I ever heard. I loved it.
This is awesome! So impressed!
Oh. Yes. YES. YEEEESSSS!
Absolutely wonderful!
The best yet 💯💯💯💯
This is so good , I would have been tempted for leave right after as there was no way I was going to hear a better, or more moving performance for the rest of the evening.
Outstanding!!!
Well done!
That was amazing. Congratulations. Your video was from 4 years ago. Hope you're still singing along well.
Great voice
Man… well done.
So good.
my.. this woman can sing!
Laura Nyro, the Earth Mother of my generation!
I'm in love. Period.
Excellent

Like this BARBARA STREISAND VERSION WAS way to SAPPY
Lovely song
Great cover. Kept waiting for the altered notes to fit the singers range....still waiting.
She sounds like Idina Menzel. Excellent rendition.
good cover
Awesome
Peggy Lipton mod squad star recorded and got to 121 on billboard charts before Barbara Streisand......
The girls a star
Love her to sing some dusty Springfield songs
😍😍
Anyone who would name themselves Loser in any capacity is BS to me!
Is this Laura singing
No. Laura died in 1997 of ovarian cancer. A very different voice but nicely done.
The band needs to learn about dynamics. They're blasting away through the whole tune.
Strange vibrato, but nice performance 😃
Fabulous!
Stunning,,
