    What dictates your season is your skin undertone. You can't really change season. Even when you're neutral, you lean a bit towards cool or warm.

    I love these videos because I’ve seen some color analysis videos where the difference between warm and cool was so minuscule on the person that I thought they could pull off both and just determine the intensity that works for them but most color analysis people are super rigid about the “rules”

    I was always wondering wether I am summer or spring, and you confirmed my place on the spring side, largely due to my green eyes and red tones that no toner seems ot be able to tame. :) Thankyou ladies. Now I dare to wear that bright peach color that I always thought looked great, but wasn't sure if I'd just look like a summer gone wrong.

    Re: Blake Lively’s hair, that is what natural golden blonde hair looks like when it doesn’t get sun and as we age it gets darker. Her natural highlights are probably warm golden blonde. I have the same hair color and I’m a warm spring.

    Just found you today, really enjoying your content. I’m a spring, had strawberry blonde hair as a child and it has darkened to mahogany. At 57 I still have only a few grays. I put in some golden highlights, but if I put too many, my hair no longer matches my skin. Interesting how things change over time. Fair to medium skin, blue eyes, I’m guessing I’m Clear dominant.

      Oh yes, that’s what I went through too! Started as a true autumn - Brown hair with lots of gold reflections ( my mum was a golden red hair) then it faded to that dish water blond and now I’m a bright clear icy shiny platinum says my hairdresser it’s kind of warm winter white but no beige or grey, with very dark brown eyes, and still dark lashes and dark brows slowly turning white. No grey stage at all. Very definitely a warm medium skin. What on earth am I? I feel limited to wearing ivory creamy whites and dark brown. PS hairdressers love my hair but say they could never get that colour. The soft autumn colours look dreary on me now.

    I find this extremely confusing. Nicole Kidman and Amy Adams don’t tan… I have yet to see a natural strawberry blonde who does. I’m a very fair Spring with bright aqua blue eyes, freckles, and strawberry blonde hair. I cannot tan to save my life. I burn. Tan is overtone, not undertone.

    • @emmamartin4045
      @emmamartin4045 5 месяцев назад +3

      They said “usually”. Which means that sometimes, Springs don’t tan that well.

      I am a Spring with green eyes who always burns in the sun. And since I am seventy, I have some grey in my hair, which was strawberry blonde when I was younger, and I do think this makes my hair have a cooler tone now. However, I have not turned into a Summer. My best lipstick shades are orange-red, Coral, or just plain orange. I look sick in anything blue-toned, makeup-wise. So I confess this did confuse me as well...

      @@emmamartin4045 Heard. But, seriously, almost the entire video they are pointing out how Blake Lively is NOT a Spring… but then somehow she is? Line her up between AA & NK… um, not the same coloring… at ALL.

    • @ColorClassInc

      We believe that you dress according to what people see, Nicole Kidman has a cool skin tone, but dresses as a Spring because of her warm hair. Unless you live in a hot climate most of us cover most of our skin with clothes, so relying solely on skintone can be self defeating. But hair frames your face with color, so would that not be the first characteristic to consider? Take a look at our color illusions video- it might help clarify.

      @@ColorClassInc Just a question:
      I agree that colors that suit us tend to change with our hair color (for example, I have very cool, ashy brown hair, but when I dyed it with henna, I suddenly started looking more harmonious with Autumn colors), but our natural hair color shouldn’t still be the most harmonious? Most of the time our features (hair, skin, eyes, eyebrows) are in harmony and dying your hair means that you’ll have to work more to make everything go together.
      When I finally started letting my natural hair color grow, it was a relief. My eyebrows and hair were not clashing anymore, and my skin looked less dull with hair that was just as cool-toned.

    Just a little thing, I heard that all skin tones are warm because we are humans of course, is the undertone that can be warm or cool and there is not neutral.
    what do you think, I think it make sense for me.

    • @ColorClassInc
      @ColorClassInc  Месяц назад

      You’re right all skin tone has warmth in it that’s why we always say color is relative because it becomes warmer or cooler depending on what it’s next to. Also colors can be warmer or cooler just like skin tone. If you’re looking at a yellow for example it could be a golden yellow with a lot of warmth or it can be a citrus yellow (with some green) which is cooler. So skin tone and all color is relative.

    Hello Ladies I had my colors done in 1985. The analysist had a very difficult time deciding if I was a spring or a summer because they both looked great. I also had gold hairs, I’m blonde. But at 65 I look washed out in the bright spring colors and terrible in the dark spring tones. Still very confusing.

    A little disappointed light spring are not described in your video. I clearly have gold undertones and I don't burn but tan. I am very light, with natural ashy very light blonde hair. My eyes have a navy outer ring and a white gold hue inside, like very gently pale yellow gold. They look clear blue, but are clearly somewhat of a white gold. However I am clearly no Summer. Put me near a Summer and you see the difference! My skin clearly has golden hues and gold looks better than silver on me. I can pull off brighter colours and some contrast too, and Spring colours and oranges are the colours that suit me best. Also, teal looks better than muted blue etc... Muted colours look poor on me, in spite of my very light ashy hair. I have no red hues. I would have liked to see light Springs represented in the pictures you chose to illustrate the Spring types, as I feel not all Springs are red nor obviously golden in their highlights.
