Probably one of the only vidoes thag has some nice clean delecate playing. Every videoni see if just someone chugging along on one note and calling it a play test.
Nice playing. I much prefer the delicate clean tones, or the highly driven heavy tones, not so much the tones in the middle of those extremes. I just ordered one a couple days ago anyway, because of the price point. I think Im going to save up for an investment piece, but this will definitely satiate until then. I sold my Harley Benton 8 string, giving up on that idea, realizing 6 and 7 strings are just way more comfortable for me. Im going to drop my baritone into a G or F# standard, I believe, to fill the void in that range. I've really enjoyed my exploration into baritones and should've done it sooner.
For the benefit of those who think in imperial and not in metric, the all-important scale length of this baritone is 30" (ie 762 mm) - as distinct from, say, the Squier Cabronita Paranormal Baritone which has a scale length of 27" (685 mm).
Thanks! I recorded with a Fender Silverface Bassman, the UA OX Box (Greenback 4x12) and various drive pedals. The equipment used is also shown in the video. Cheers, Michael
Finally someone who CAN play doing a demo of this guitar with clean sounds instead of all the other videos with kids chugging on one note on the lowest string
In the intro example it was tuned to B at least, and I could have sworn they have a specific "intended as bass VI" model that I can't find at the moment
Tbh, Drop B and Drop A# feel very uncomfortable for the fingers with default strings. In reality, the tension equal to standard tuning on a regular guitar would be around Drop G#
@@cyntdestroyer69xd Oh _drop_ B would hurt for sure, I'm talking _B standard_ as the default tuning on a baritone. Makes total sense that drop G#/Ab would be more comfortable since it's "downtuning a half" ("Bb standard" on all but the lowest string) instead of "tuning up a whole" for drop B

Lovely intro. Your demo shows that a baritone, with the right pickups, can actually be a pretty versatile guitar.
Awesome instrument, awesome playing 👌💖 Great vid 🤘👍

Wonderful Playing. Will come back often just to listen.
Came for the guitar, stayed for the playing 🔥

What is the standard tuning of this guitar? Is a classic Baritone or like a bass vi ?
Thank for the video
In the intro example it was tuned to B at least, and I could have sworn they have a specific "intended as bass VI" model that I can't find at the moment
Found it, they call it "guitarbass" and it has 3 single coil pickups more like a coassic bass vi
@@metallsnubben actually I have one squier bass vi , but a really liked the color of this Harley Benton 🤩

are these basically the same ass a bass vi
different pickups but same 30" scaling
No. A baritone is a few semitones lower than a guitar (typically A to A). The bass VI is an octave below a guitar (E to E)
@@jbh219 nothing stops you from putting baritone strings on a bass VI and vice versa, they have the same scale length
