Carrier Landing Challenge funfly

Four intrepid aviators braved near instrument weather conditions to compete in the First Annual Jay S. memorial carrier landing contest, dubbed Top Gun Challenge.
Matt S won top honors with the closest landing to the target “#3 wire”. Dave H. was next , followed by Art N. All three winning landings were within a couple feet. Vim also made valiant efforts, but unfortunately ran out of carrier deck…
The format allowed for three approaches for score, with Go Arounds allowed for in-deck touch downs before or after the “arresting wires” .
It was noted that all pilots found that keeping it on the deck was a bit challenging.
