  • Scriabin’s 7 Preludes were written during his early period while under the patronage of Mitrofan Belyayev. Despite the piece still retaining clear associations with Chopin, Scriabin’s ever-present unique style grows stronger by the opus.

      @@federico6485 also op 16#3 in Gb major, and now after relistening I can say Db maj one definitely feels like beauty which is quite hard to describe, I mean not in how extreme that beauty is, but in it's 'gentleness'

    The moment at 1:51 in prelude 2 is so amazingly good, i wish he expanded on that idea more

    The way pianist repeated that note twice at 3:28 is quite scriabinistic, because Scriabin himself did the same thing on his piano roll recording of op.11 #1

      Except there’s also a recording of Scriabin playing this exact prelude and he doesn’t do that 😅

    The No.3 of this set is similar to his Second Sonata. Impressionistic in texture yet Chopinesque in the sense of bel canto and romantic harmony and flavour

      She is generally speaking good at everything scriabin. she rarely misses. for the more popular pieces there are some better performances by the greats though
