When RM performs this live, at the end when he repeats, “I wish I could love myself,” the ARMY replies, “We love you.” It’s one of the most emotional live performances I’ve seen.
I love RM. This was written many years ago and just recently in a live he said he still doesn’t know how to love himself. It’s crazy that he taught so many fans how to love themselves, but he can’t successfully fulfill that journey for himself. Anyway, thanks for the reaction guys!
RMs character in this Wings short film is wired in hopelessness and poverty. He’s sadly relatable. The song itself is so sad to hear RM asking/begging to love himself. He’s admitted for years his own depression and issues and along with others but strongly takes us on a journey as he’s learned to love himself. When he performed this live Army started screaming back “we love you” when he sings “I wish I could love myself”. He finally started changing the lyrics in live performance to Army screaming “we love you” and he responds “I finally do love myself” it’s incredibly powerful to see that happen live and his almost shock that it’s changed. Absolutely magical moment. Our dearly loved poet Namjoon. 💜💜💜
It’s amazing how every song on this album is such an incredible piece of art and great but so very different yet they work together.

RM is always sincere and true. Never hiding the struggles that they go through as a group or personally. He says that ARMYS will understand and we respect them for this. They are humans. I love them. 💜💜💜💜
At the end of V’s short film, he asked the policeman if he could call somebody - V was calling RM but RM couldn’t answer because the phonebooth was chained up.
RM’s lyrics have always made me feel the most seen. He is vulnerable to the deepest extent and lays it all out there for us. It’s heartbreaking at times but I live how he’s always broken down barriers to show that kpop idols are people who have feelings and aren’t just mindless products.
There are so many of their songs, where the lyrics are so raw and honest, and most definitely hit you in the heart. They often bring me to tears. Thank you for your reaction guys. As always 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

It's fun for me to rewatch it with you, when those short films were first realesed I was in the high school, now i'm a teacher, it's been a while and i miss that era haha
the song is called Reflection because it lets us reflect on the lyrics and ourselves, which is why there is no vocal during the music. its made to make us think.
RM thinks a lot. And, he still talks about dealing with insecurities. He said if he didn't speak about it, it would stifle him. I like the line 'free from freedom' and it makes me think similar to what Jake said... like it could be easier if you didn't have freedom to make choices or free time. You wouldn't think so much. It's easier to just follow something laid out. You can't question your decisions then and grapple with if you're doing things right. If you're failing. Idk. He has another similar solo song "Forever Rain" and I would love it if you can fit it in, maybe next lol because it's not on any album. Very short. Dark. Same vibe. Beautiful lyrics. I know you get too many requests. I like what BTS tries to do which is blend music and art and storytelling and mental health therapy and give us all something of quality and interesting and thought provoking. They're like a group version of Taylor Swift!! 😂

Korea has a really high suicide rate, especially among young people it’s one of the highest in the world. I heard recently that many choose to take their lives jumping into the Han river. I’m wondering if that ties into his lyrics of bumping into someone by the Han river Maybe? Maybe he was having dark thoughts, and if he bumps into someone there that were potentially having dark thoughts too, maybe their decision would be swayed? Just a thought
It is amazing how these Wings solos are partially about the members real lives and feelings AND they also relate to the Bangtan Universe, a whole different fictional side story. Honestly, no artist was doing this back then and no one is clever enough to do it now.

I really enjoy seeing how you all really immerse yourself in the music and lyrics. Truly a joy to share joy of the BTS masterpieces with you all. Appreciate the care and respect you show. Music is so subjective so to find people who share the same joy in them is a pleasure.
The lyrics are mostly tied to RM’s character in the BU but also includes some of his personal struggles. It’s heart wrenching.
It made me sad when he said Ina recent live, that he still didn't know how to love himself. I hope he keeps trying, because Army loves him very much, and this many people can't be wrong.😊 Sad song, good reaction. See you soon.💜💜💜

Es el desafío de algunas personas muy inteligentes y reflexivas, que se cuestionan todo. Y el creo q aun lucha por no dar importancia a lo que piensan los demás de su música, su aspecto, de q le desprecien sus antiguos amigos del underground( no se si se escribe así 😅) E incluso creo q sufre por las comparaciones con los otros miembros de la banda , aunque el los quiera mucho a todos! El es único y maravilloso y esperemos q se lo crea algún día!
I found them through their performance/dancing but stayed for their lyrics and fell for their talented hearts. I started to like rap because I finally understood how it is a true form of poetry. The Rapline is so honest.

Slightly getting into the Bangtan Universe: It was the same telephone booth that was in the Stigma short film
The songs of each members in Wings album reflect what each of them are experiencing as their character in the Bangtan Universe (BU). It may have some similarities in their real life but definitely these were written for their characters in the BU. You will understand the songs and the video if you know the story of each character.

"The short film "REFLECTION" begins with a quote from the first chapter: "The other world, however, began in the middle of our own house and was completely different [...] a whole multicolored torrent of terrible, enticing, enigmatic things, like the slaughterhouse and the prison, drunks and screaming women, calving cows and collapsed horses; stories of thefts, murders, and suicides" (Hesse 2012: 16), despite being thematically related to the fifth and sixth chapters. This is because everything unfolds in RM's home, where he succumbs to vices despite being in a presumably safe environment. Jungkook's letter reaches his hands, even when, like in the novel, he was unaware of the recipient's whereabouts (Lee 2016: 20), and RM takes on the challenge of being his new guide in the world of adults. The title of the fifth chapter, "The bird breaks the shell," alludes to Demian's interpretation that Sinclair receives about the drawing, and it will resurface in "Blood, Sweat and Tears."
