This is the ultimate problem is today’s developed countries. There are way to many options, therefore its harder to love/accept yourself. We cant sit still and appreciate what we are and have.
Ju'Von Nathan there is so much to explore and its driving me nuts
I think David So is far more multi-faceted than he first appears. He knows video editing, videography, comedy, public speaking, persuasion, and projects his self image very effectively. This reminds me of Scott Adams' (of dilbert fame) idea of talent stacks.
Being a true specialist can work as well, but it's far more particular to certain career fields, cultures, and time periods. Japan is a good example of a culture that values specialization. America has some specialists, but almost exclusively of the technical variety.
For all this, it's probably a good idea to set up a single major skill as the foundation for your career. The rest can support and expand your options.
A mantra that I'm trying to live by: "Motivation is for amateurs."
Don't wanna train this morning? Too bad, you do it anyway. Don't wanna take that leap of faith? Too bad, you make yourself go for it. It's almost easier to take motivation out of the picture, because that way you know you're going to make progress whether you feel like it or not that day. Self care is imperative too. You can't live off of 3 hours of sleep and fast food. Take care of yourself whether you want to or not.
These podcast are saturated with such good advice and are delivered so well
I needed this...thank you :)
I needed to hear this. Thank you
Thank God, that you shared that thing David about doing a lot of things at the same time and be mediocre of it instead of focusing on one thing and be great at it, thank you so much, love that , I’ve been thinkin ‘ of that lately on what to focus on and prioritize the things that i really enjoy doing , and work at it excellently, i know that all of us are blessed with multiple gifts by God and we are all created for greatness, we have to find that gift and hone it and develop skill set and be profitable at it, share that talent and help humanities. And u know i really wanted to do a lot of things like music, blogging, teaching , photography, graphic designing, cooking and doing business at the same time cuz i was thinking i’m a late bloomer, but when u discussed it on your podcast based from experiences ,i came to realize that i should be thinking a hundred times before doing those things, now i know what to focus on, to work on that one gift that i really enjoy doing and be great at it, and be the best in that gift 💯 % , thanks David , it such a big help for me cuz i’m starting all over again from scratch after those failures i’ve been through in the past . God bless you more🙏😀💪👍
Great conversation!!!
In this day and age everyone suffers FOMO, that’s why they tackle so many different things at once because they’re scared they are wasting their time and not doing something else, so they never feel happy. It’s a sad society we live in.
he say he don't know which one to focus on but thats just more stalling i feel. Choose one and eventually the rest will present itself
I wish I watched something like this a few years ago 😂
I didn't know David did food, that's pretty cool
Obviously David’s decision to delete his music channel was his own choice but kinda wish he just left the contents even if he stepped away from making those kind of videos. His voice is pretty fucking great to listen to.
David So with the knowledge.
