You know how people complain about modern music all the time and how only old music is good? I always say if you can't find good current music you're not looking hard enough. This is PHENOMENAL, and it's not just a current band doing an old genre. It's an old genre made new again and, in my opinion, made BETTER. It's amazing to see how music evolves with all the new tools we have to go wild and experiment and do crazy fun dance-worthy stuff. I just love Caravan Palace, man.
The argument that new music is bad, is dumb. Because new music includes all the previously existing genres, if you can't find new good music, it's because you're only looking at the top hit lists, not that it's impossible to find.
Zoe is insanely talented, she sounds so good even on stage, its very impressive that she can sing some of these songs live, there's barely even time to breathe sometimes
It's absolutely astonishing how amazingly they're able to nail a song like that LIVE. It is NOT an easy feat to make your studio recorded music sound that good live, even more so with all the instrumental and the performance. Hats off to Caravan Palace, Grooviest band I know out there!
this makes me realize how raw these guys really are, if you listen to this live and then the studio version there's almost no difference. too good for editing
Biggest difference is that they use the sample in the studio version, theres also some other small details like some static on the track, they put filters over some instruments, and they make a few other changes. Overall, yes.
That's one of my personal favorite measurements of a band and what makes me consider them great or not. When someone can sound the same on stage as they do in the studio, that's a Hallmark for how tight their music actually is!
I have now had the pleasure of seeing them live at the O2 Academy in London, holy mother of god they were everything I expected and more. One of their laptops actually froze 10 minutes into the performance and they improvised, showing off their individual talents on their instruments, taking a couple of requests and telling some funny stories on one of their tours while the computer was being restarted and fixed. That's great entertainers for you If they're ever in London again, I am definitely going. Caravan Palace are fantastic live

The guitarist wishes to join his fellows in their festivities, but alas, his part is constant, and thus he must remain at his lonely posts, jamming unlauded.
