The good thing about this is That the metaphore really works. Don't take it too literally, the band knew what they were doing was reprogramming the robot. See 1:08, the Scientists wanted to knock the "Aliens" out of the sky but I'm not sure they were aware of the extent of the threat or just the good method of alien removal. If I'm right, this takes place during or before 1889 worlds fair, the tower wasn't actually done at the start but you can see the workers still standing on it when the robot climbs up at the end, they were still up there building the whole time despite the alien invasion and giant robot shenanigans.
for me this represents one of the best aspects of human nature. In times of happiness and music, people all flock and crowded the streets. When the invasion started naturally everyone scattered and each to his own. Then a bunch of intelligent people thought of a way to solve the problem. It was clear and concise. Nothing flashy. The workers began to construct it and then it was done. The Robot function precisely as planned confusing the scientists because it fought while dancing. I think this solely depicts the creativity of human nature. And how it can overthrow expected unoriginal results. How it can as well be effective and fun. Consequently, you can liken this analogy to the Caravan Music where it is creatively produced, oldish type of music with a modern electric spin to it. Brilliant job!

Don't take it too literally, the band knew what they were doing was reprogramming the robot. See 1:08, the Scientists wanted to knock the "Aliens" out of the sky but I'm not sure they were aware of the extent of the threat or just the good method of alien removal. The whole video's intermingled with the lyrics, though; the aliens cause havoc, the aliens aren't human (obviously) and yet how subtle are they when you don't look at them just right? The song's about would be parents laughing at their kids growing up helpless, thinking it's "Cute" or something. The robot beams shoot at the same time "It ain't right, *NO NO* " pops up in song. 2:22

for me this represents one of the best aspects of human nature. In times of happiness and music, people all flock and crowded the streets. When the invasion started naturally everyone scattered and each to his own. Then a bunch of intelligent people thought of a way to solve the problem. It was clear and concise. Nothing flashy. The workers began to construct it and then it was done. The Robot function precisely as planned confusing the scientists because it fought while dancing. I think this solely depicts the creativity of human nature. And how it can overthrow expected unoriginal results. How it can as well be effective and fun. Consequently, you can liken this analogy to the Caravan Music where it is creatively produced, oldish type of music with a modern electric spin to it. Brilliant job!
