@kandicemills9835 Yes I know, but there are sooo many more here that need help. Way too many are euthanized. Of course one is too many. I know of several just in my little town that need help. One a Cane Corso that had to be rehomed due to the owner having to give her up because he could not afford to keep her. A new home was found for her but there was another dog there that was aggressive with her, and she escaped. She was lost in the desert for a week before being rescued again. She is back in his original home but won't be able to stay there. My heart hurts for her. She is scared and confused. Her name is Karma. We do have a few no-kill rescue groups but almost all of the "humane" societies here are high-kill, so something like Asher house would be a god send. As John Lennon said "you may say that I'm a dreamer", and an Asher house here would be a dream come true.

How nice that there in OR, though it's not private, you and the dogs still have an expanse of sand and shore almost all to yourselves. Yep, the beach is where I'm at whenever I can go (moreso than the mountains or anywhere else). It's all about dogs & now surfing for me, and luckily where I go, we can enjoy both. 💕🐾🏄🏼♂️🌊🌈

I was brought up by the sea….yes it has a magical effect on the person, everything seems possible. Our collie died a few years ago, now we have inherited another collie, senior, this has really made me content. I never realised how much having dogs can ease your soul. I was never allowed a dog growing up, I met someone who always had dogs, so of course I’ve been able to have fur babies (always rescue). Both make my life fuller. 🎉🎉🎉❤️.
I am free when I’m at the ocean, Nantasket Beach, Hull, Massachusetts. I truly understand what you are saying. I left home when I was 17 to find myself. Thank God for the ocean.
Totally, took my 3 to the beach, which is 2 hrs away on New Year’s Eve. My 14 year old, Gizmo, suddenly had all the symptoms of full onset dementia on New Years Day. Diagnosed with a probable brain tumour today and put to sleep. I am so glad his last walk was at the beach, which was his favourite place. Lost my best friend ❤.
As a kid and teenager I felt the same way. Other kids had pix of celebrities on their walls while I had maps that came included with the National Geographic mag. I remember thinking I would go as far away from where I grew up and still be in the US. I decided on Point Barrow Alaska. Never made it to Alaska but I have been to many different states and am very happy where I am now.
You made the dream come true that I always wished I could do. I so love animals. Especially my furbabies. My heart is broken for the ones I have lost. Thank you for doing what I couldn't. I love you.

The Albatross and the whales they are my brothers. (and of course the dogs and other critters.)
You are truly a very special individual. I volunteer at an animal shelter where we try and give the pooches as much freedom as we can, but as you know in a shelter they live in a cage for the better part of their day. It saddens me not to give them this kind of freedom. I leave gutted and in tears almost every time. So I ask individuals who want to get a dog PLEASE go to a shelter to adopt. These dogs that have been abandoned, neglected, homeless don’t ask for much except some love and compassion, they are perhaps not perfect but have a whole lot of love to give back, they are all precious.🐶❤️

Moved 2 1/2 hrs north to take care of my parents but now live 45 minutes from the beach😢 Ty, Ty, Ty for all you do for all the animals. Hi Lee, big fan of yours. I'm from Oregon and love what you do . I have a favor to ask. I have a friend in Sweetwater TX. They have a small shelter there .She was telling me they only give the dogs three days to live and then their put down. IT breaks my heart knowing so many dogs are being euthanized so soon.l wanted to ask if you maybe someday you could go there and rescue some of those poor dogs. I know your very busy and have your hands full but those poor dogs need a knight in shining armor. Anyways just wanted to put that out there . Looks like the pups are having a great time. I needed this! We are getting 2 ft of snow and I can’t go get my puppy from the shelter yet. I have to pray no one ventures out and gets her before I do. I’m sad and seeing this made me smile.

Hi Lee, big fan of yours. I'm from Oregon and love what you do . I have a favor to ask. I have a friend in Sweetwater TX. They have a small shelter there .She was telling me they only give the dogs three days to live and then their put down. IT breaks my heart knowing so many dogs are being euthanized so soon.l wanted to ask if you maybe someday you could go there and rescue some of those poor dogs. I know your very busy and have your hands full but those poor dogs need a knight in shining armor. Anyways just wanted to put that out there . Looks like the pups are having a great time. I needed this! We are getting 2 ft of snow and I can’t go get my puppy from the shelter yet. I have to pray no one ventures out and gets her before I do. I’m sad and seeing this made me smile.
