I’m single. I’m currently 19. I live in LA and work at the LA Philharmonic in LA. Life is quite normal and quiet. Everyone I know is doing well.

this was originally a waltz for the sleeping beauty ballet written by Tchaikovsky. it was also played in the move by the same name. The songs played in the anime do sound nice, but they didn't originate from it XD

I realized JUST NOW AFTER SO MANY REWATCH I DID to this anime,that when his coach said Nagi and Kousei are similar,in these exact timestamps.Nagi's brother after seeing Kousei so unlike of what he thought to be,lost the reason of "running towards"Kousei,his dream to be like him,and Nagi cant accept that so she played and played and tried very hard to do this piece.While the part where Kousei sees Kaori's back when he closed his eyes (that second clip hit me hard)because he always sees her back,she was what serves as his guide to their whole 'journey',to being 'free' and happy.But when he finally accepts himself,and the fact that he cant hear the piano is just a special part of himself.Kaori suddenly stop running (a reference to last episode Kaori)Kaori is left behind,because she chose to.Because she felt like it was enough,she was content.Kousei though,cant accept that,and starts to (in return)guides Kaori out of her darkness and tried to bring color to Kaoris dream again by using music.(incoming reference) Because theyre musicians.

I’m so glad that anime is bringing new generations to appreciate the great classical masterpieces... I was pleasantly surprised when I began watching the anime, but the last few episodes totally wrecked me. Thank Sweet Ceiling Cat for Fandom and its spoilers, I ended up skipping one of the last episodes because of something about the cat... I love cats...

The competitiveness between Emi,Takeshi and Kousei taught me some valuable lessons. Healthy competition is always needed to enrich each other and bring out the best in each other. For some it may be hostility,for some it's confidence while others practice for months just for that moment.
But mutual respect is always necessary,in any field. You can't succeed in what you do by humiliating others. In the anime Takeshi saw Kousei as his main rival. But also,he looked Kousei as his idol,as a hero. He and Emi both wanted to surpass Kousei,but they did that while admiring Kousei as the ultimate benchmark. Unknowingly,they wanted Kousei to do good too. And Kousei wanted them to perform well. After all they all pianists,they share a common passion. They respect each other's abilities and try to bring the best in themselves.
Not just in this case, this should be the case in every field of life. No one can grow in life by being self centered. Learn from your competitors,try to show them what you got and also see their performances. At the end of the day,you are the passengers of the same train. So don't push each other from the train. Enjoy the competitiveness and grow from the lessons you get :))
Kinda want to play this at my wedding now. Such a beautiful rendition of the song. Having grown up on many styles of music(classical the biggest of them all) I really feel like I am back in my childhood watching my mom dance to the original in the kitchen. So nice.

Thank you Kaori and Kousei for making me realized how music so important to me.. I lost my passion playing instrument but after watching this anime it gave me a punch to my face that I need to move forward and play because I'm a musician although the anime is not happy ending but the lesson of it occupied a space at my heart and soul. Thank you very much T-T
This waltz has implanted in my brain and just will not go away. Lie in April was one of the most beautiful and motivational animes I have ever seen. That it ended so quickly still makes me very sad. I miss this series so much.
I don't get what is with the rants here, it's like musicians vs anime watchers... I personally do both, and started both about the same time, though I had been playing piano for about 2 years prior to watching this anime... The real moral of the story you people miss here is that this is a nice song, sure it originated long before this anime, but they used it in the anime. Both sides can enjoy it, and both sides have just as much of their humanity in tact before hand as they did after.
Also, for my actual comment, one of my main goals on piano is to transpose this piece into a 2 hands (solo) version instead of the 4 hands duet. Obviously impossible to hit every note so stuff will have to be removed or moved around, but it should be possible to achieve a very similar piece XD

Many anime watchers learn piano to play anime songs and more! And then become musicians, anime can also expose classical music to other anime watchers to become musicians. Musicians make more music , anime gets to use music. It’s a Win - Win situation.

Honestly this was my favorite episode in the show as a whole.

Kartik Sharma didn’t see till I was looking at some classical music lmao, but everything about tho anime has reached me and never left, in the two years I’ve been playing the piano for one and I was going to give up the violin but after watching this I’ve stayed with the violin also for 5 years (in a junior in high school now). Maybe the anime didn’t saved my life like literally but it changed my perspective on classical music and time and how people are here in your life for a certain amount of time for a reason and how you should treasure every experience. Hope you’re staying safe over these times:)

yo toco algo de musica clasica adaptada para guitarra, pero por el anime ya me decidi a ahorrar y comprarme mi propio piano y volver a practicar (practicaba de antaño guitarra y piano, pero deje el piano ya que no tenia donde practicar)
The accent they have is very nice.They can live Tchaikovsky song very nice.And the pianis can mixed their feeling.Although its too loud but overall very good.
