Terrific presentation! So I was walking through Bloomingdales back to my car and paused to look at their Creed collection and a sales lady approached me with this and yes, the opener just blew my mind! When she told me it’s a new Aventus I was surprised cuz I wasn’t impressed with the original Aventus. I’m happy with Irish tweed and especially Erolfa, but this was so different. I love it, but the price is kinda ridiculous, however, I’m not kicking myself. If it’s true this is only going to be available for a limited time, personally I think it’s cool. I use it sparingly. It’s like having a collectible.
Harrods has it for $352 right now, which is weird because usually Creed is more expensive from Harrods, and TF is cheaper (it goes by what the companies set their prices as in the UK, and what the current exchange rate is) it’s literally cheaper than the 50mL bottle of Aventus right now, and it wasn’t at launch. I don’t think it’s doing so hot, and reviews haven’t been great, however I think that’s mostly due to the price point. If it was comparable to Aventus it’d probably have been a bigger hit.
I happened to have a 20% discount code the day it launched, so I blind bought it. Ended up paying "only" $320. Thankfully I really like it. The opening is amazing, I wish it lasted longer. Also, I do see a similarity to Elixir, but that one smells disgusting on my skin, while Absolu doesn't.
Just smelled this in store. Now I understand why they went for 'Absolu' - 'Aventus Elixir' would have been too on the nose! Really shows just how influential Dior Elixir has become - I wonder if they regret not making it a standalone fragrance and not a flanker. The similarities here are pretty stark - it's a nice fragrance, but it's a bit sad to see such an influential scent become a copy cat in its new form. Also - the very opening part has a strange note that I associate with cheaper fragrances - not unpleasant - best I can describe as a bit papery - didn't ruin the fragrance and was soon gone, but a bit odd nonetheless!

Smelt it the other day it is a great scent but should just be a new creed fragrance same size same price no need for 25% less bottle and a higher price
I’m trying to buy it. I don’t wanna hear about the price but I’ve been trying to buy it and I can’t find where I could get it. Can you help me get it? Thank you very much. Yeah that creed can you help me to get it?
indeed the next year( not very soon thought ) lattafa will have it out....in the lab right now the code name is Faqat black
Layer sauvage elixir & aventus.
Boom you get absolu aventus.
Layer Asad and CDNIM.
Boom you get Absolu Aventus.
Kinda...
Sampled it and got a gift from a friend. It's close match to mancera cedrat boise lol with maybe better ingredients
In europe it has the same price per ml as aventus
Yeah, I tested it - it’s smaller, more expensive, but at least the performance is as bad as the original Aventus but all that is with Sauvage Elixir twist in the drydown. Just don’t.
