Crazy prices to be underwhelmed, no thanks! I bought a 4 fragrance package of Creed Aventus, Silver Mountain Water, Green Irish Tweed and Milliseme Imperial. It’s okay! Honestly I wasn’t blown away by any of them.
I admit I can't afford high priced fragrances, so I don't have a lot of experience to compare to, but the Creeds I've smelled were excellent. Adventure, Silver mountain water and Green Irish tweed were clearly better quality then what I was used to.
@@vanp2050 my wife bought me a sample pack of Patek Maison Prime collection recently because I sprayed the Rouge on at a fragrance outlet and she loved it. I got ripped off trying to buy from eBay one time and I just quit sampling. But I really need to more often.

Great breakdown Chris, thank you. 2011-2014 basically all i wore was Aventus. I just can't seem to get on board with this because they kept Aventus in the name. I would've repected it more if it was it's own fragrance. I feel like keeping Aventus in the name is a cash grab. Would love to see the street battle though..

The end of Olivier Creed's career is like a great long-time coach of a great program retiring. There's a big void. Which means the brand is at a critical crossroads. I'm a bit guarded on their future. Actually sad that the characteristic DNA will probably be no more.

Honestly if they just rereleased the original Aventus formulation - like it was during the first (few) years - then I'd definitely want to pick it up. But the mid-years and current formulations, or this... Sauvagentus... no thanks. Aventus has been losing its luster over the years and it seems Creed is about to abandon everything that made the original release worthwhile.
Absolu is an Aventus style uber fruity opening, a smoother more niche quality refined Sauvage Elixir DNA, a waxy crayon metallic freshly sharpened pencil woodiness similar to Blue De Chanel and a clean vetiver patchouli base. I am happy and lucky to own a bottle!
“Better than meh” doesn’t warrant the crazy price they are charging. If it was a game changer like the original Aventus was, then I might understand. But, “better than meh?” Nope. Thanks for the review.
Nobody is going to spend that kind of bread on 75ml on this. So many better fragrances at this price. I only had a 2ml decant but it’s very close to Sauvage Elixer for the first four hours. Then it goes a different direction but not by very much, you can smell a little bit of the original Aventus after the mid. I think the pricing absurd, it’s laughable actually. I didn’t have much respect for Creed when Blackrock owned them, I was hoping their new owners would bring back the old 120ml bottles and bring back the old formulas. Guess we know which way Creed is going now. They should change their name to Greed.
I am so glad they aren't owned by Blackrock anymore! The most evil company on the planet. Now they are owned by the same company who owns Gucci & YSL 🙌 I think they brought the metal caps back as well.

I was at Gatwick on Saturday and went to the creed counter and the women said never heard of it..upside I tested aventus on my wife and she liked it.. never told her I ve owned 4 bottles of it 125ml and used them up she would go insane at the price (owned them before I met her)

Just picked mine up. I sprayed a ton and kid you not maybe 3 hours top. Lowkey little disappointed in it because it was a hefty price tag. But the smell is amazing. I don’t see it like sauvage elixr. And anyone doubting the pineapple and lemon. That’s all I smell lol
As a Creed fan I’m kind of interested in this, but I am expecting I would be disappointed at the same time. Might just skip this one. Outside Aventus Cologne I don’t really care for Aventus anyways. SMW and GIT are more my jam.
Creed is my favorite house and I have upwards of 300 fragrance bottles across a broad range of niche and designer brands. I've ordered a decant of Absolu just as a reference. I'll probably skip trying to buy a very expensive limited release bottle. I am curious though.
Had a Sniff and try on Skin , It’s a Pleasing Mixture nicely Blended , I’d Say More of a Office Scent not Violent to Others in the Same Air slightly Sweet Lite Spices , some would say Shower Gel Kinda scent , That holds its Strength When-the Body Heats Up, in the Open Air Heat Those Down wind will enjoy it , In the Nearby Vicinity 6 Hr, in Heat 10Hr Indoors Office ,
I bought mine from venba fragrance and honestly off my skin I get that familiar Creed Aventus DNA opening for about 5 minutes then straight into a lighter version of dior sauvage elixir ! Lol and that's it for a few hour's till the far dry down when some of the vetiver mixes in with the fragrance. At this price point I truly recommend trying to sample first because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one thinking the same thing about this new release unfortunately
The only creed cologne I always buy again is green Irish tweed it’s the only one that has any type of longevity,and the clones still don’t beat it imo,I’ve had millesme imperial the longevity was that shit from the off I left it to macerate for 3 months and it was no better,and also virgin island water beautiful cologne for summer great projection again the longevity shocking
Hoping it has good performance. My Aventus 2018 bottling which i only use for nice occasions is damn nuclear! last literally all day and can even get wafts of it from my clothes the following day or even days. Shame to hear it doesn't have the power and performance especially after it's labelled absolu.
generally am not a fan of battle videos, but since Aventus is considered mass pleasing fragrance and this is the newest iteration.... in this case It'd be interesting to see how the masses perceive them against each other.

But as long as there are fools who buy, companies will keep increasing the prices. Its not about having the money, its about being a smart consumer that educates the companies not to be too greedy. A beefed up aventus would just be aventus. Try out the last few years batches. Its like spraying watered out bodymist.... I had the 2016, and that was the last usable batch, but it was def weaker than what it used to be even. I dont care if they go the ambroxan route. Just make aventus a wearable fragrance. I take it back. Dont go ambroxan.. thats horrible
