As a nepali we have so much proof about Buddha being born in Nepal. And it have been for a long time. India just suddenly said he was born their so. We got anger. If you were born and raised in your own country then decided to live abroad for a while. You won't suddenly change your nationality. It's sub consciously their. You will feel proud when something good happens in your loved country. Buddha might have mediated here or their but it won't change he was born here. 😊

NEPAL IS THE OLDEST COUNTRY IN SOUTH ASIA historical wise and foundation wise . ( From satay yuga to present day )
Not only that Nepal used to be HUGE , there used to be Gopal dynasty, bhasipal dynasty , khasa ( padhai ) kingdom , Nepa kingdom , kirat dynasty, lichhavi dynasty, shah dynasty, mala dynasty etc etc .
Our land used to reach from jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal pardesh , half of bangladesh and tibet during the time of Khasa kingdom ( padhai ) and Nepa dynasty.

if you guys go make sure to either go around spring or fall, thats the best weather to trek and travel around. if you go around September and October you will get to celebrate or be part of Dashain and Tihar (main festivals in nepal). And if you go around March or April you will get to experiance the new years of Nepal and also the holi festivals (festival of colors).
The best hiking trails are Annapurna Circuit, Gokyo Lake, Everest Base Camp, Upper Dolpo, Upper Mustang and Mustang. I can 10000% vouch that you will come back as a different entity after going especially if you can make it to the Annapurna or everest base camps. These places changed my life and prospective so much, you will literally get lost in the silence of the Himalayas and the wind breeze it feels like a song vibrating through your body.

Actually all the Provinces are Named now,
It wasn't previously due to controversies as Mt everest and Koshi river (biggest river of Nepal) both lie on same province, And etc reasons
The provinces and their names are:-
    1. is Koshi Province (Named koshi due to presence of Koshi River)
2.Madhesh Province (as it mostly lies on the terai region of Nepal also called Madhesh region)
3.Bagmati Province (Bagmati river holy river)
    4.Gandaki Province (Gandaki river)
5.Lumbini Province (Lumbini the birthplace of Gautam Buddha)
    6.Karnali Province (Karnali River)
7.Sudurpaschim Province (Means the South west province as it lies in very very west of the country)
