Getting rid of trees command no longer works on officials.
Here's my crazy thyla taming story. A couple of days ago I was circling around the map trying to find a decent baryonyx for caving. I could not find anything about level 30 so I gave up and went looking for some high level dimorphs to add a little extra firepower in caves in the meantime. On the western tip of the redwoods I saw a 130 dimorph chilling on the beach, but there was a lot of others in range. I knew it was a bad idea with others around, but gave it a tranq to the face and within seconds had a swarm of angry dimorphs trying to decapitate me. With a sliver of health left I managed to get on my argy and get far enough away to lose aggro.
I went back and perched on a rock in the river to heal up and rethink my approach when I spot a thyla walking along the beach under the redwoods. I spyglass it and it's a level 150! I had 9 foundations and 24 walls on me in case I found a bary so I quickly set a trap up on the beach, grabbed her by the scruff of the neck, dropped her in, and tamed her up. When I checked her stats with the modded spyglass after taming she has 56 points in health. 56 points!! She tamed up with more health than most rexes. Been looking for days now in the redwoods for a worthy male and keep finding level 30 and under. I used up all my thyla luck on that girl. :/
That is an awesome roll! Nice find! The islands levels are meh I was hoping they would set them the same as the non cannon. Hopefully you find a good male soon!
How are you liking ASA so far?
@@CamwayGaming Got so spoiled over the years with the creature levels on Crystal Isles and The Center. You can circle around for hours on the Island and not find anything even remotely worth taming (for the more infrequently spawned dinos at any rate). It does make it feel pretty awesome when you find a good one (and it doesn't get itself killed before you can tame it).
@@CamwayGaming I'm not loving all the crashes, but I'm really loving the game otherwise. I only play PVE so the changes to building and all the QOL things like wi-fi electricity and water are amazing. Being able to locate tames in the tracker is super useful when one goes missing (wanders off or falls through the mesh). The graphics are, excuse the pun, absolutely unreal. I probably have a whole hard drive full of screenshots. This is the most exposure I've had to ray tracing in a game and it absolutely blows my mind. Just seeing the moonlight coming through a window onto the floor makes me smile. Even at medium settings the game looks amazing. I honestly wasn't planning on picking up Ascended, but when I saw the trailer I was so blown away I bought it as soon as it was released.
Things I'd like to see changed, would be farily small things like the dino tracker remembering the last page we were on (i.e. all tames or tames in progress, etc.). Gets a bit annoying having to drag through menus every time you open the tracker while taming. They seem to have fixed the issues of tames falling through the mesh, which was a pretty bad bug. My most wanted change would be the addition of a proper glass window for those of us who like to build. The greenhouse glass has a weird grainy texture to it and is too dark to make a good looking window. Even if they made the glass type selectable between the greenhouse glass they have now and something that looks more transparent (doesn't have the ripples) that would make me super happy.
@@Stephain Ya getting those high levels feels good! On official after a crash we get a chance at finding high level rare dinos. Kinda rough to tame them between crashes though lol
The reason this one took so long is because it’s mate boosted, less damage and torpo
you can grab thyla from the trees using argentavis and take it to your base in a safe trap

They wake up so fast for me bro.
The lower the level they are the faster they wake up. A 150 thylo should stay asleep for about 16 to 18 minutes.
When a Thylo is close to waking up force fed it narco berries not narcotics. a 150 feed it 950 berries to keep it asleep if you waited until right before it woke up it should stay asleep for almost an hour
I was going to ask is this true , if the taming speed is set at default , using cooked mutton only gains 50 percent taming effectiveness ? This is according to Dododex
According to the app I use that is usually more accurate as far as food narcotics and tranqs needed thats true 49.9% taming +37 levels.
With kibble it is 98.5% and that is with only 8 feedings so ya its effectiveness drops a lot every time it eats.
Dododex is generally accurate with the amount of food and taming percent

The one that removes trees was locked by wildcard your server admin might be able to unlock it.
Does cooked prime really work?
I guess they wanted thylas to be different. They prefer cooked meat over raw including prime. A level 150 Thyla will get 83% taming with cooked prime // 61% with raw prime

why not just use the console commands to just spawn one in?
If that's what you like to do go for it!
Players that play on servers do not have console commands as an option.
