I listened to Pretty Girls during my commute and for weeks afterwards the smell of my car would conjure images from that book... not pleasant. But sometimes it is just satisfying to get such strong emotions and reactions from a story, even if they make you feel terrible. A thriller I read recently that I enjoyed was When No One is Watching, which I feel had a really good atmosphere, though it's not as fast-paced as a lot of traditional thrillers. Have a nice spring break!

You should do a book club! Okay so I don’t even know what a book club does.. but share a book your going to read and then after a certain amount of chapters..discuss. And then at the end discuss.

Hi Danna! I bought that curling iron snd I haven’t done my hair for over 10 years because my daughter is a hairstylist and I have wavy hair, so when my blow wears out, back to curls. So glad I tried it out! I had a date a few days ago and he liked my hair! And it was daughter approved. I went to cosmetology school years ago but haven’t used my skills for years. It was super easy to do week old hair when does my blow outs and I just went through and recurred it! Thanks for the recommendation. You always have good Amazon favorites!🌺🌺🌺

Karin Slaughter books are very gory. She has one series where one of the main characters is a pediatrician and part-time coroner for the police department. Definitely have to look at pictures of puppies after reading her books. A book I couldn't put down was Sandra Brown's Mean Streak. It's plot twisty with some romance elements. Normally I'm pretty good at figuring out the twists and turns in a book, but this one had me on the edge of my seat.

The NYX consealer make a beautiful foundation! I agree It's overrated as just a concealer for your under eyes. On a whim one day I tried it as a foundation and man was it gorgeous!!! I kept getting compliments on my " gorgeous, radiant skin". If you're not a fan of the concealer, give it a try as your foundation before you give up on it. You need to build it up a little but it's amazing 😘

I really enjoyed Swear on this Life by Renee Carlino! It's not a thriller but just a sad but heartwarming story that goes back into a girls past with her childhood best friend.

Also, book suggestions...it sounds like we have similar taste. I am not into intense violence or raunchy sexual scenes. I have a hard time shaking off books if they get too disturbing. But I love a good thriller!
    1. The Guest List - Lucy Foley (favorite of hers)
    2. Megan Miranda - The Safest Lies and The Last House Guest (fast paced thriller)
    3. Every Vow You Break

Like you, I was not impressed by the nyx serum concealer. I used my fingertips and a sponge BUT one day I used a DRY elf camo sponge and to my surprise it came out beautiful! I have vitiligo and it perfectly surrounds one eye and it completely covered it. I do like catrice concealer and shape tape. I’m finding the older I get, the more those two are showcasing my fine lines. Love your favs videos!!! 💕

Hi Danna! I just passed up that book Varity the other day, in a thrift store. Maybe that’s a good thing🤷🏻‍♀️ I just finished reading a book called 1000 White Women by Jim Ferguson, it was really good. It was a recommendation from my sister in law. My sister can fly through books, everyday she comes over, she has bags of books! We like James Patterson books too. I’m going to check that curling iron out. I bought those knives you recommended a while ago, they’re amazing! I have those sandals, I love them! My daughter bought them for me to wear around the house. Very comfy, I want a pair to wear in public! LOL🌺🌺🌺

I read Verity last year and felt VERY ‘meh’ about it. I don’t understand the hype AT ALL! I agree with you - the end was not surprising to me. I’ve read so many better books! I recommend Come With Me by Robert Malfi and Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney. :)

Haven’t read Verity or The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo because when I start considering reading them I see others say the same things you did lol. I’ve read so many books already this year and I have to recommend the Tita Rosie Kitchen Mysteries by Mia P. Manansala, there’s two so far in the series and they’re murder mysteries but lighthearted if that makes sense though the 2nd one does cover the trauma that these type of series usually gloss over. I feel like these books are well written though. Also recommend The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by Zoraida Cordova, a grown up Encanto I would say if I was marketing it but I read it before I saw Encanto.

I agree with you on Verity. I read it in 24 hours and found the ending predictable and lots of trigger warnings. I usually am a fan of Colleen Hoover. Just read Ugly Love by her and loved that one. But another one I loved was The Lying Woods by Ashley Elston. The ending was a huge twist and I couldn’t put the book down ❤️

Catching up on your videos, and I agree about Evelyn Hugo! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was meh. If you haven't already read Daisy Jones & the Six and Malibu Rising, I liked those books by Taylor Jenkins Reid way better.

I think what people thought was a twist about the ending of Verity is exactly what you said… you had a twist in your mind (spoiler… the husband right? I thought the husband wrote the diary and he was a psycho…) but then that was NOT the ending so, it felt like a big twist lol I dunno. I liked it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yay I love book reviews!!!! I loved the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo but it was a little predictable. But yeah, verity…. I’m so surprised that book went viral. It’s awful. Lol. I feel like this book is for people who don’t really read. It’s fast paced buuuut it’s sooo corny, lol no hate of course just…. No lol. I definitely want to read the other 2 you mentioned!!
