Arizona does have monsoon season which can get pretty bad in some parts of AZ
If we can revolutionize the battery to last longer and not be as heavy i would buy one. Also if it wasnt the price of a used car to put a good charger at home. Charging needs to be changed until i buy an electric truck.
Love this and I agree I may go with (have no choice since the 1st model is sold out!) the lesser model with less features and power. Only thing is...GMC should have offered some sort of scratch proof protection. 100,000$ for a these vehicles that you can see at the end of this how scratch up they were!
Ill use my wrangler for wheeling and I would use this thing for just camping along on a small level trail

I truly like the Hummer EV but there is one major downturn. The size of the battery is huge comparing the size of the car. Therefore it is not cheap to charge it up. Therefore you`ll end up with the same costs as you are using the petrol version, and you will be spending a lot of time at the charging station.
What inside the interior is reminiscent of the H2’s clearance lights leaking. Nostalgia. Way to go GM!

The H2’s you can tap the brakes and it would act like a locker. It was a much more off-road capable vehicle just needed a Diesel engine.

I strugglee to see who this is for. This is TWICE as heavy as a normal pickup truck.

Crazy how more capable the rivian seems to be in comparison..
Comparing the Rivian to the Hummer is like comparing a plane to a rocket. They both fly but have different purposes. The R1T is nice and very functional, but it isn't a head turner. Outside of the unique front you might not even notice it.

The thing has three wipers because GM is on their cool sh** lol. Remember, GM started this large offroad truck trend with the original Hummers. Most people don't know that the H2 was actually a heavy duty truck. But I remember someone mentioning how the glass roof panels on the Hummer EV seemed loose and wobbly on trails but that couldn't seem further from the truth after this video... they do seem loud though.

Dude, my FJ has 3 wipers😐🤣 This is cool but I think I’ll still go with the Rivian R1S to replace my FJ if it comes down to it! This or actually the SUV would be a close 2nd though.
The Hummer is amazing but I don't blame you. I think the only EV pickup to beat the "wow factor" of the Hummer EV is the R1T. The speed/acceleration, the RR Phantomesque features, the versatility, and the durability are all surprisingly good in the Rivian. Not to mention the gear tunnel that can be outfitted with a sink, cook top, dishware, storage locker and much more to satisfy overlanders. But the Hummer comes from an established company known for making badass vehicles ahead of their time. So there's that.
@@MB.1111 very good points. Plus I’m a Detroit girl so I’d have no problem supporting my hometown talent😄 I’m just really loving these offerings so far and to thing it’s only the beginning. Can’t wait to see them in person, hopefully I’ll at least set my eyes on the hummer in a couple weeks when I visit home😎

@@BrayP2 fair statement since the Hummer has seen zero off road time but in the past Hummer displayed serious offloading pedigree. But Hummer to Raptor ((R) and TRX) the Hummer has more power, better tech, better looks, is built by America's best selling automaker, AND it's drivetrain consists of technology that won't be obsolete in 5 years.

like most all GM attempts to be unique and "different" this will bomb after the preorder phase. i guess GM is going to install chargers on all trails in all national parks and federal lands la de dah... i mean come on. this truck is designed to take you places that are days away from the grid. problem is you will never get there or back because of the range issue. skip this monstrocity, buy yourself a wrangler with a 392 if thats what you're into and enjoy way more range, places to fuel, and offroad capability for ONE THIRD the PRICE or less.
